I Really Am A Villain

Ch. 1796 - Approaching The Island

This black whale was different from all the others. The main difference was its size. It was tens of millions of times larger than any ordinary black whale.

Just by remaining there, it gave off an overwhelming sense of pressure.

The surrounding seawater seemed to freeze in place. That suffocating pressure rushed straight at you, making it impossible to meet its gaze.

The Black Whale Sovereign stared at Xu Zimo and, astonishingly, spoke in human language. “This path is blocked. Go back the way you came.”

“Whether it’s blocked or not isn’t for you to decide,” Xu Zimo said with a faint smile as he raised the blade in his hand. “You’ll have to ask it first.”

“Insolent!” the Black Whale Sovereign roared angrily.

A strange power surged out from its body. In that instant, the entire sea seemed to fall under its control.

The endless Black Whale Sea began to roar.

Massive waves crashed forward, piling up into layers thousands of feet high.

Boom! Boom!

The sound shook the heavens. Almost all the black whales fled toward the distance.

Around the ferry boat Xu Zimo was riding, waves rose on all sides, raging violently, as if they could destroy everything.

Along with the Black Whale Sovereign’s furious roar, all the waves slammed down at once.

These waves carried the power of decay. Even a slight touch could melt a person, let alone being submerged within them.

One would be reduced to pus, leaving not even a trace behind.

It was no exaggeration to say that outside this place, the Black Whale Sovereign would be nothing but trash, but within this sea, it was an absolute ruler.

Xu Zimo raised his head and looked at the surging waves. His eyes narrowed slightly, and he already had a plan.

He only had one chance.

And it had to be a killing blow.

Otherwise, he would be finished.

As countless waves surged forward, Xu Zimo gripped Shadow Tyrant. A blade light that pierced the heavens illuminated the ages.

Blade intent twisted and slaughtered through the void.

Yet water was one of the most troublesome things in the world, because it seeped into everything.

Even if blade light tore the water apart, water itself was formless.

It would simply gather again within that formlessness.

Still, this bought Xu Zimo some time. He left the ferry boat and ran through the air toward the distance.

Boom!

The waves completely swallowed the ferry boat.

Xu Zimo narrowly avoided the strike.

But leaving the ferry boat caused the entire Black Whale Sea to erupt into chaos.

Wherever he went, waves crashed down upon him.

Fortunately, Xu Zimo’s own strength was formidable. Invisible blade light annihilated everything in its path.

If one looked carefully, it would become clear that while Xu Zimo appeared to be dodging the waves, the direction he was evading toward was slowly drawing closer to the Black Whale Sovereign.

“Just a dying struggle,” the Black Whale Sovereign sneered coldly. “Kill you today, and I can finally escape the shackles of my spirit body.”

Though powerful, the Black Whale Sovereign was still bound by the Mirage Tides Heaven.

This time, the order from above was clear. If it could stop Xu Zimo, it would regain its freedom.

Xu Zimo did not respond. His footwork left afterimages as he continued to evade.

Finally, he felt the timing was right.

The moment he closed in on the Black Whale Sovereign, all his blade light gathered into one.

One strike to slaughter ten thousand immortals.

But the Black Whale Sovereign seemed prepared. It let out a cold laugh.

“You’re setting a trap for me, but I’ve been waiting for you as well.”

As the words fell, boundless waves roared and surged around the Black Whale Sovereign.

The waves condensed into a sharp sword and slashed straight toward Xu Zimo.

At such close range, Xu Zimo had no chance of dodging.

The Black Whale Sovereign laughed coldly, already envisioning Xu Zimo’s death.

But Xu Zimo merely narrowed his eyes, his face calm and unhurried.

He had long prepared to take this blow head-on.

“Gate of Eternity!”

Xu Zimo shouted softly.

This was a move that granted brief invincibility, allowing him to ignore all damage.

The next instant, heavenly light enveloped his body as three great gates opened behind him.

Xu Zimo’s figure pierced straight through the Black Whale Sea. Under the Black Whale Sovereign’s horrified gaze, he emerged completely unscathed and slashed down with a single strike, cleaving half the sky.

Blade light echoed across the horizon, converging into a single torrent that shot toward the heavens, howling violently.

This was Xu Zimo’s strongest blade strike.

Everything before it would be torn apart.

“How is this possible…” the Black Whale Sovereign shouted in shock as it retreated rapidly into the sea.

“Too late,” Xu Zimo roared again.

The blade in his hand tore through countless layers of sky and landed squarely on the Black Whale Sovereign’s body.

A miserable roar echoed as its skin split open, black, ink-like blood pouring out.

“Slash again,” Xu Zimo shouted softly.

The blade light grew even more overwhelming.

Yet the Black Whale Sovereign’s defense was astonishing. It actually endured this strike head-on.

Even so, the blow clearly left it gravely wounded.

When fighting a snake, you strike its vital point. There was no way Xu Zimo would give his enemy time to recover.

He activated both the Heaven-Earth Dharma Codex and the God-Demon Creation Atlas.

The Heaven-Shattering Power within him surged forth like a flood.

Xu Zimo’s body expanded millions of times, towering like a giant, now comparable in size to the Black Whale Sovereign.

Shadow Tyrant in his hand expanded just as much.

He swung another strike.

This blade pierced directly into the Black Whale Sovereign’s eye.

Black fluid sprayed out endlessly.

The Black Whale Sovereign’s resistance weakened even further.

Xu Zimo reached forward with both hands and hurled the Black Whale Sovereign into the interior of the ferry boat.

The massive body was incredibly heavy, even with Xu Zimo using all his strength.

The Heaven-Shattering Power roared within him.

At last, he threw it inside.

Boom!

The entire ferry boat shook violently. Fortunately, the vessel was massive. Otherwise, it would have collapsed on the spot.

Xu Zimo waved his hand and stepped through the air back onto the ferry boat.

“Convinced?” Xu Zimo asked calmly.

The Black Whale Sovereign glared at him in fury, as if it wanted to devour him alive.

“Don’t look so unconvinced. A defeated opponent has no right to be arrogant,” Xu Zimo said as he raised Shadow Tyrant.

Blade light tore through the air. The tip of the blade gleamed with the aura of death.

“I’ll give you one chance. Answer my questions. Otherwise, I will kill you. You can try testing my bottom line.”

“Human, do you know where this is?!” the Black Whale Sovereign roared in human speech. “Don’t threaten me.”

“I dared to step into the inner domain. I’ve crossed seas of blades and fire and killed the Death Gods,” Xu Zimo replied coldly. “Do you really think I’d be afraid of you?”

The Black Whale Sovereign fell silent for a moment.

“I don’t have time to waste on you. Speak,” Xu Zimo barked.

“What do you want to ask?” the Black Whale Sovereign finally replied.

Clearly, it did not want to die.

“What’s on that island?” Xu Zimo asked.

He raised his head. The end of the Black Whale Sea was already close.

The ferry boat was about to dock, stopping near the island.

Xu Zimo needed to understand the situation on the island before making his next move.

“I don’t know,” the Black Whale Sovereign replied.

As soon as the words fell, a blade slashed down.
