I Really Am A Villain

Ch. 1756 - Ancient Era’s Creator

This fat man was incredibly powerful. Even Xu Zimo found the fight taxing when facing him head-on.

Xu Zimo had always believed that at the Infinite Dao realm, as long as he did not encounter someone above the Three Blossoms stage, he would be invincible.

But the fat man’s cultivation was hard to judge.

He had no techniques at all, only a massive club. With casual swings back and forth, he was able to break apart every move Xu Zimo made.

“Get lost, get lost. Don’t you dare touch that corpse!” the fat man roared.

It was obvious that the corpse bones were like his lifeline. He would not allow anyone to get close.

Xu Zimo understood why.

Within the Three Corpse Cave, corpse mist was supplied endlessly. As long as this environment remained, the fat man was effectively immortal.

The only way to deal with him was through those corpse bones.

That was why his reaction was so extreme.

Xu Zimo snorted coldly. The power surging through Shadow Tyrant in his hand grew even stronger, erupting in a torrent of force.

The fat man was driven back several steps in a row.

Unfortunately, whenever Xu Zimo tried to approach the corpse bones, the fat man fought like a madman, risking everything to block him.

Xu Zimo’s eyes lit up as if he had thought of a solution.

While continuing to fight, he deliberately guided the fat man farther and farther away from the corpse bones.

“If I don’t take those bones today, then either you die or I do!” Xu Zimo shouted.

“Only you will die!” the fat man sneered.

Boom, boom, boom.

Under the clash between the two, countless stones fell from the cave. Many sections collapsed entirely.

Even so, the cave seemed incredibly tall. No matter how much collapsed, it did not affect the overall space.

Step by step, Xu Zimo led the fight away, and the two gradually fought with genuine killing intent.

But just as they were about to leave the small chamber, the fat man sensed something wrong.

He turned his head and saw a figure already standing beside the corpse bones, gripping them with both hands and trying to pull them out of the mountain wall.

“Who is it?” the fat man roared, rushing to stop that figure.

Xu Zimo blocked him.

Shadow Tyrant slashed forth, cutting through layers of space and preventing the fat man from advancing even a step.

The one pulling at the corpse bones was Paimon.

Xu Zimo was never alone. Behind him stood the entire God World and his Infernal Archons.

He had deliberately lured the fat man away earlier to create an opening for Paimon.

Now, with Xu Zimo holding him back, the fat man was furious yet helpless.

He was fighting with everything he had, but Xu Zimo was just as desperate in stopping him.

The gap in their strength was not large.

The fat man’s only true advantage was his immortality, sustained by the endless corpse mist of the Three Corpse Cave.

“Get out of my way,” the fat man roared again and again.

“You’re panicking now?” Xu Zimo laughed.

But the Shadow Tyrant in his hand showed no slackening. Ever-stronger blade light erupted, surging like a raging tide.

The lingering blade intent was vast like the sea. The sinister blade intent was sharp and tricky. The tyrannical blade intent swept through everything.

At Xu Zimo’s current level, endless blade intent blanketed the space before him, not allowing the fat man to advance at all.

Behind him, Paimon clung desperately to the corpse bones.

He heaved upward with all his strength, roaring continuously.

Bang, bang, bang.

With each exertion, the corpse bones were pulled out little by little.

As the bones emerged, the entire cave grew unstable.

Boom, boom, boom.

“Is this place going to collapse?” Xu Zimo frowned.

The fat man’s reaction was even more frenzied.

At last, the entire set of corpse bones was pulled free.

Xu Zimo glanced toward Lin Ruhu not far away. The man was still eating and drinking, oblivious to everything.

It was as if he had sunk into this horrifying state completely, stripped of all self-awareness.

That sight left a bitter taste in Xu Zimo’s heart.

He did not have many people he could call family.

Especially in the Nine Heavens, he had almost no friends. Along the way, corpses had piled up behind him, and he had long since lost count of how many he had killed.

Lin Ruhu was one of the very few friends and family he still had.

“If fusing the Three Corpses is the only way to save you, then this Upper Corpse of Devouring will be the first,” Xu Zimo said softly.

He instructed Paimon, “Fuse the corpse bones into Ruhu’s body.”

The Grand Sun Dao Lord had no reason to deceive him.

After all, the other party still needed Xu Zimo to resolve the troubles of the Three Corpses.

“Give the corpse bones back. We can talk about anything,” the fat man said. He seemed to have no other choice and finally calmed down.

Looking at Xu Zimo, he continued, “You can’t save him. This cave only has me. The other two corpses left long ago. Why not cooperate with me instead?”

“Did you do this to him?” Xu Zimo asked calmly.

The fat man admitted it without hesitation.

“Among the Three Corpses, the Lower Corpse found an inheritor three hundred years ago and left. As for the Middle Corpse, from the very beginning of the Three Corpse Cave, it was lucky enough to obtain a relic left behind by the Dominator, allowing it to leave here temporarily. Only I have endured all these years. After so long, I finally found a suitable substitute. Why must you force things to the point of mutual destruction?”

“Who is this Dominator?” Xu Zimo asked the question that had been lingering in his mind.

“The Dominator was once the supreme ruler of this era, the founder of the Ancient Era,” the fat man who fed on corpses replied.

“The Dominator was incredibly powerful. Long ago, he had already been invincible throughout the world.”

“And what about you? What is your relationship with him?” Xu Zimo asked.

“Do you know about the Three Selves stage of the Infinite Dao realm?” the fat man explained.

“In truth, we Three Corpses are the three selves split off from the Dominator. The Upper Corpse represents gluttony, the Middle Corpse represents greed, and the Lower Corpse represents lust. The Dominator sought to cross the Twelve Meridian Gates and achieve true immortality, separating mortal and immortal. To do so, he had to sever his own flaws. Thus, we Three Corpses were born.”

Hearing this explanation, Xu Zimo felt that he half understood and half did not.

After all, the True Martial Progenitor had also split into Three Selves.

But it did not seem to be the same situation.

The True Martial Progenitor had even recombined the Three Selves into one.

Xu Zimo decided to ask the True Martial Progenitor about this later.

“Then what are these corpse bones?” Xu Zimo asked.

“The Dominator knew that leaving us Three Corpses behind would bring endless trouble. But we were created from him. He could not kill us, or it would give rise to heart demons.”

The fat man continued.

“So he shed his own corpse bones, using them specifically to suppress us.”

“Interesting,” Xu Zimo said, narrowing his eyes slightly.

He knew that the history of the Nine Heavens was vast and complex.

First came the Ancient Gods seeking the Dao.

Then the Primordial God-King attained invincibility at the God-Demon Abyss and established the Primordial Era.

There was also a brief period of Demonic Descent Era in between ruled by the previous Infernal Lord.

Only after that did the Ancient Era arrive.

“What do you think of my offer? As long as you let me fuse with this vessel, I can serve you for three hundred years as your enforcer,” the fat man continued.

“You can take some time to consider it.”

Xu Zimo shook his head.

“No. From the moment you did this to him, there has been no room for compromise between us. Only one of us can survive.”

He gave Paimon a look.

Paimon instantly stepped into the air and slammed the corpse bones directly into Lin Ruhu’s body.

In that instant, Lin Ruhu’s body froze.

He stood there, completely motionless.
