Chapter 2824 - 2825: Ruthless to the Core
Chapter 2824: Chapter 2825: Ruthless to the Core
A small yacht was sailing on the sea, with over a dozen fully armed people sitting on it.
The person leading them was Gret, captain of the Special Service Team Three.
"Go a bit faster, our progress is somewhat slow," Gret said, looking at the map.
"This is already the fastest speed," Rajiv replied.
"Isn’t Storm making a fuss over nothing? They just came back to rest; how could they secretly bring something back?" Rajiv grumbled.
"This matter isn’t as simple as you think," Gret said:
"They got information from the Skull Squad that Flame Dragon’s people entered the Kandaya Ruins. It’s hard to say whether they took anything, but their behavior is unusual."
"We’ve also been to the Kandaya Ruins and searched repeatedly. We didn’t find anything noteworthy, so how could Flame Dragon’s people find something as soon as they go?" Rajiv said:
"The Skull Squad must be overly sensitive."
"I also have that feeling. So, I think Storm organized this operation for revenge," Gret said:
"We’ve suffered twice on the island, and coupled with them being ambushed by Flame Dragon’s people before, they won’t miss this opportunity."
"If you put it that way, I can understand now," Rajiv cursed:
"Previously, we lost to a unit of the Central Guards Brigade. Now with Storm assisting us, teaching them a lesson should be no problem."
"It’s just a pity that many members of the Skull Squad are injured and can’t participate in this operation; otherwise, the danger would be significantly reduced."
"Whether they’re here or not won’t affect the outcome of this operation."
"Your thinking is too simplistic; I’m not considering the combat power issue," Gret said:
"With more forces joining in, the international backlash afterward will be less."
"Why bother so much? As long as Storm is here, the international opinion will lean in our favor, so there’s no need to worry."
Gret nodded, not continuing the topic further.
"When we rendezvous later, strike hard, don’t give them any chance."
"Relax, we’re all prepared; we have to make them suffer this time."
The members of Special Service Team Three were full of confidence. This hidden ambush against the Central Guards Brigade gave them the upper hand, undoubtedly catching them off guard.
"Captain, we spotted a boat five nautical miles ahead."
"A boat? It’s already early morning; how could there still be boats active here?"
"Huh? It’s not just one boat; there are six in total."
Gret glanced at the map, "They should be the local fishermen; don’t worry about them, keep going."
"Yes!"
As the distance closed, Rajiv used binoculars to observe the situation in the distance.
"Boss, you guessed it right, it’s really the local fishermen."
"Keep moving," Gret said indifferently.
With the identity confirmed, Rajiv relaxed significantly.
However, he deliberately deviated from the course, not wanting too much interaction.
But at that moment, they suddenly noticed a fishing boat rapidly approaching them.
"Boss, something’s not right, there’s a boat coming toward us."
"Don’t be afraid," Gret said:
"This is the high seas; no one can control us. If they don’t behave, we’ll leave them all here."
"Understood."
Gret led the Special Service Team Three forward.
Meanwhile, Lin Yi’s boat also approached visibly by the naked eye.
Bang!
At that moment, the sound of gunfire rang out!
The water erupted in waves several meters high, even disrupting the ship’s course.
"What’s going on? Who’s behind this?"
Bam! Bam! Bam!
Several more shells were fired, with explosions following one after another, successfully stopping the Special Service Team Three’s boat.
As they calmed down, ready to counterattack, they found that Lin Yi’s fishing boat was already right before them.
Moreover, in the hands of others, they all held weapons pointed at them.
"It’s actually you guys!"
Seeing Lin Yi and the others before them, Gret and the Special Service Team Three were extremely nervous.
Their actions had been so secretive, yet they were still ambushed by them.
"How did you know we would pass through here?"
"If you’re asking like that, I have to recommend you read some military strategies. Such a crude trick could be thought of with a literal backhand," Lin Yi said:
"But it’s still a bit disappointing. I thought we would encounter Storm’s people for a face-off. Never imagined it would be you guys; it’s really not interesting at all."
Gret swallowed. Many had said, the unit of the Central Guards Brigade shouldn’t be provoked and should be treated like Flame Dragon.
Gret now understood the meaning of those words.
Their leader, this man in front of them, was much tougher than imagined.
"It’s late at night, and it’s quite cold. I have no interest in wasting words with you. Raise your hands, let’s make this fast," Lin Yi said:
"If anyone wants to resist, step out, and I’ll show you what saturation attack means."
The members of Special Service Team Three shuddered.
They knew very well that in front of Lin Yi, they stood no chance.
Without weapons, they were no match; now being surrounded, the outcome of resisting was predictable.
Not much effort was needed; the members of Special Service Team Three quickly gave up resistance, fully controlled by the others.
"Boss, what do we do with these people?" Yu Siying asked.
"Naturally, hand them over to the relevant authorities."
"Huh? Aren’t we handling them?"
"These people violated the agreement by using force against our fishermen. This is a malicious international incident, we have no authorization to handle it."
Listening to Lin Yi’s words, the others understood how superb this maneuver was.
It could come back to benefit them significantly afterward unless they didn’t care about these people’s lives anymore.
"Tsk tsk tsk, though this trick is a bit underhanded, I really like it," Shao Jianfeng said.
"Surpass, Yun Hu, later you two, relocate the fishermen, then sink a couple of boats. You know how to handle it, right?" Lin Yi said.
"Rest assured, leave it to us."
Gret was furious, his face turning pale as he shouted:
"What you’re doing is unethical!"
"Nobody here is a saint, so spare me the talk of ethics," Lin Yi said:
"And you should be grateful; I’m only sinking a couple of fishing boats. If I were to have a few more people lie down, you’d be in even bigger trouble."
Gret shivered, his mind buzzing.
He felt like he was under his opponent’s control from the start, without the ability to resist.
