Yu Mai was crouching as he tried to pick up the bucket that he had submerged in the water but as he pulled it up, he realized that it was too heavy! He blinked his eyes and then looked down at the water but this time around he could not see anything because of the crashing waves.

‘Maybe I need to put more strength?’ Yu Mai thought as he rolled his sleeves and once again pulled the bucket but he couldn’t pull it out of the water. Seeing this he turned to look at Ye Liu and said, “I cannot pull the bucket out of the water, Brother-in-law Liu. It’s too heavy!”

“Pretend! Keep pretending,” Guo Chengcai sneered. He did not believe that there was any fish in the bucket. After all, he and his wife had been sitting next to the shore for so long and were yet to catch a single fish and that was when they had been using all the right techniques. So how could a kid who did not know how to fish catch any?

“Can you stay quiet? No one will think that you are mute if you don’t speak!” Madam Yan scolded her husband. She was speechless at his actions, could he not see that the entire shore and village belonged to Yu Dong and yet he was still offending her husband?

Guo Chengcai snorted. He did not care what his wife said, he only sneered and looked away from Yu Mai and Ye Liu.

Ye Liu, of course, noticed the actions of Guo Chengcai. He was speechless, was this necessary? No matter what Yu Mai was a child. Was there a need to be hostile to a child?

Ye Liu shook his head and then turned to look at Yu Mai. He smiled at Yu Mai not taking Guo Chengcai’s words to heart and said, “Wait, brother-in-law will help you.”

With that he rolled his pants and then walked over to where Yu Mai was standing, Ye Liu pulled his sleeves up and then placed his hands on the bucket. With his hands holding the bucket, Ye Liu pulled back but realized that the bucket was indeed too heavy.

His brows furrowed and he looked at Yu Mai who seemed to be a bit timid and scared. Ye Liu did not know what happened, did sand fill up the bucket?

Whatever. He would see what was filling the bucket after pulling it up, Ye Liu put his back into the work and with a lurch pulled the bucket out causing water to splash all over his clothes and body.

“It’s filled with fish!” Someone exclaimed in the crowd and everyone including Guo Chengcai turned to look at the bucket that Ye Liu was holding and sure enough the bucket was filled with small and big fish.

The biggest fish was probably six or seven catties, no wonder the bucket couldn’t be pulled out just now!

Ye Liu looked at the bucket that was filled with flopping fish and his eyes brightened immediately. He raised his head at Guo Chengcai and said, “Now what! Are you going to kneel and call me daddy? Come, good son! Daddy is waiting for you to kneel!”

Everyone surrounding Ye Liu and Guo Chengcai burst out laughing. This was really a good show, they came to fish but were getting such an amusing scene to watch!

Guo Chengcai’s expression turned twisted, it was as if he had eaten a fly. On the side, Madam Yan covered her face and pretended to act as if she had no idea what was going on. She already told her husband not to cause trouble for the Yu family.

Did he not notice that everything that Yu Dong and her family grew tasted different from the others? Clearly, there was something different about Yu Dong and her family. Most probably, they were blessed by the God and the Goddesses. How dare Guo Chengcai go against them? Was he not just asking for trouble?

“You cheated! How could there be such a good thing!” Guo Chengcai did not believe that Yu Mai and Ye Liu caught those fish honestly. How could so many fish be caught with just a bucket?

“What a good way to excuse yourself out of the punishment!” Ye Liu exclaimed angrily. He was so angry that he laughed. “You dare to act all smug with me just now, you were the one who made the bet and now you want to pull out? How could there be such a good thing!”

Guo Chengcai choked. He glared at Ye Liu and glanced at Yu Dong who seemed completely at ease and was staring at Ye Liu who was acting like a thug with doting eyes and suddenly felt his heart go stuffy.

Why did Yu Dong like Ye Liu so much? He was better than Ye Liu! And was more good-looking, so why was Yu Dong clinging to Ye Liu and not looking at him? It was too much!

He said, “Then do it again! If you catch as many fish as you do now, I will kneel for you! I will kneel alright!”

Guo Chengcai would never admit that Ye Liu was better than him! Even if he was to die.

Ye Liu was speechless. He had never seen someone so shameless. Not only did he go back on the bet they made but he was also acting so atrocious!

“Fine! We will do it again!” Ye Liu sneered, with the spiritual water that he had drank and the vegetables that he had eaten, does he need to worry about not catching fish?

He emptied the fish in the water vat behind him and then turned to look at the crowd, “Look! We have only put the fish bait and nothing else in the bucket! Take a closer look lest someone say that we did something shady!”

His words were directed at Guo Chengcai who stared at the bucket and saw only fish bait in the bottom of the bucket with patches of water.
