Chen Fu Qi felt her head explode. She had no idea that something like this was going on behind her back, since when did she agree to let Chen Yihai marry Zhang Xiaolan? Her expression turned livid as she breathed harshly. She wished she could drag that mer out of the house and beat him up until his father did not recognize him. How dare Bing Lan have such thoughts? How dare he even think of such a thing!
“You don’t have to worry about your father,” Chen Fu Qi said to Chen Yihai, she tried her best to calm herself and then stated, “Unless your father wants to divorce, he will not dare to send you to Xiaolan.”
The reason she was staying with Bing Lan was Chen Yihai, if that mer disappointed her son…then she did not need to stay with him!
Chen Yihai did not know what was divorce but he knew that it was something bad. Because every time his mother brought it up, his daddy would turn silent as a quail and would not make a fuss anymore. This was why Chen Yihai knew that it was something scary.
In the past, Chen Yihai cared for his daddy and did not want his mother to divorce Bing Lan but now he no longer had the same affection as his daddy. He was just ten and not even fifteen and yet his daddy wanted to send him away, what was more he wanted to send him to a cruel woman.
He had heard all sorts of stories about Aunt Xiaolan. Some said that she killed her husbands, and some said that she sold them off. One way or another those mers died in the hands of Aunt Xiaolan and yet!

However, after hearing that his mother did not have the same thoughts as his daddy, Chen Yihai heaved a sigh of relief. He told his mother, “Daddy said that you agreed and I…I was really scared mother.” Chen Yihai did not know why but his senses were telling him that he needed time to tell everything to his mother or else he would die without knowing what happened to him!
Chen Fu Qi’s eyes turned red. Not because she was shocked but because she was angry. Bing Lan, oh Bing Lan. I really underestimated you! For the sake of silencing Chen Yihai, he even lied to him by telling him that Chen Fu Qi had the same thoughts!
‘Just wait Bing Lan! Once I return home….!’ Chen Fu Qi’s eyes were full of anger but she still spoke softly to Chen Yihai, “No, Mother doesn’t have such treacherous ideas. If I dare to have such ideas then I am not worthy to be your mother. Don’t think too much, eat your meal. I will talk with your daddy.”
Chen Yihai heaved a sigh of relief and started eating his meal.
On the other hand, Bing Lan rushed to his family house. When Daddy Bing saw Bing Lan arrive, his lips pursed in a dissatisfied smile. However, Daddy Bing knew that with two disappointing daughters he could only rely on this son, thus even though he was upset to see Bing Lan coming empty-handed and bringing his daughter, he still greeted him solicitously, “Lan Lan, you are here? Did something happen?”
“It’s Chen Fu Qi! She just doesn’t listen to me, I am doing everything for her good. That mother and sister of hers are always guarding and yet she always acts like I am the one in the wrong!” Bing Lan spoke. Once he started speaking he could not quieten down and told everything to Daddy Bing.
When Daddy Bing heard that Chen Ying was actually earning thousands of taels a month, he felt his head explode and suddenly wave after wave of regrets started flooding his heart. He was the one who told Bing Lan to keep the shop and send the Chen family away. He was also the one who brainwashed Bing Lan into believing that the Chen family was trying to ruin his wife.
After all, how much money could Chen Fu Qi even earn in a slaughterhouse? Thus, he was scared that this plump sacrificial goat would escape from his hands and he immediately instilled the ideas in Bing Lan’s head.

His eyes flashed with a hint of calculation as he said to Bing Lan, “Lan Lan, why are you worrying about something like this? No matter what, even if the family separated, Fu Qi is still Mother Chen’s daughter. There is no way they can break away the tendons and burn away the bones. The blood in Chen Fu Qi’s veins belongs to Madam and Master Chen, certainly, they would help her if she is in trouble.”
