The next day the women of Yu Sa’s family went to the cocoa field where they started working in the fields. They pulled weeds and threw them aside while suffering the heat from the sun. Eldest Sister Yu and Second Sister Yu were still better as they had done this kind of work in the fields once in a while, however, Yu Jianian and her sisters were not alright at all.

Yu Sa looked at the situation in front of her and her face turned grim. She looked at her family members who were being treated as workers and did not know what to do. “How long are we going to live like this?” Meng Junshan asked his wife. He said to her, “If we needed to live like this then why did we even come here? We could have stayed at our house and worked hard to pay the debt. At least that way we did not have to suffer like this!”

Yu Sa and Meng Junshan did not have any idea that they were being targeted. They were instead thinking of a way to get their daughters and granddaughters out of the trouble but nothing seemed to be working.
