Lu Jiamei quickly returned, carrying two iron cages. Even though they were out of the water, the two mutated fish were still thrashing violently inside!

When Qin Haonan heard that Ren Yuanyang wanted to inspect the mutated fish, he didn’t go back to rest and instead waited by Ren Yuanyang’s side.

Lu Jiamei immediately attached a wire to one of the cages, then carefully touched the cage with another wire.

An electric arc flashed, and the two mutated fish went rigid, ceasing their thrashing.

Just as Ren Yuanyang and the others were about to step forward to observe, the fish started jumping again!

"It seems these mutated fish have very strong constitutions," Ren Yuanyang said. "Increase the voltage!"

Lu Jiamei nodded slightly, made a small adjustment, and electrocuted them again. The two mutated fish finally quieted down, but their tails still twitched stubbornly!

He touched the other fish, and the same prompt appeared.

"Just kill them and throw them away. They’re contaminated with nuclear radiation. Be careful when you dispose of them!" Ren Yuanyang said.

Hearing this, Qin Haonan immediately took a step back. "Nuclear radiation? It’s not because of the nuclear wastewater discharged by Lvzhi Country, is it?"

Ren Yuanyang shook his head slightly. "A flood of this magnitude could cause a nuclear power plant to malfunction. While I also detest Lvzhi Country, this might not be entirely their fault."

Lu Jiamei immediately increased the voltage. The electric arc reappeared, and black smoke began to rise from the two fish. The tails that had been twitching stubbornly finally went still.

"Go on. I’ll call you when breakfast is ready!" Ren Yuanyang waved him off and headed for the lab.

Hua Lingfang had also been sent back by Ren Yuanyang to rest. Inside the lab, the white mice were still full of life.

Ren Yuanyang touched them again. The system prompts for the first few groups still indicated they were semi-evolved mice, but the last three groups of mice had actually become Evolutionary Forms!

These three groups of mice had all been treated with licorice that had its medicinal properties enhanced three times. The difference between them was the type of licorice used: fresh licorice, dried licorice, and baked licorice prepared with honey.

He glanced at the time. Exactly twelve hours had passed since these three groups of mice were injected with the Evolution Potion!

"Three groups of mice have completed their evolution!" Ren Yuanyang announced the good news at the breakfast table.
