Gathering Wives with a System

Chapter 127: Sharing Is Caring, Overpowered Growth

Chapter 127: Sharing Is Caring, Overpowered Growth

A moment later, a system prompt appeared in front of him:

100 Tier 1 Vitality Grain Seeds harvested. Mana +1000. Constitution +1000.

You have obtained 500 Tier 1 Vitality Grain Seeds.

From the fruits hanging across the branches, several pale-golden seeds were detached on their own.

Each one was plucked cleanly and gently from within the fruits.

In an orderly wave, they floated to the ground beside him, forming five neat rows. They glistened slightly, dense with mana.

Isaac bent down and picked one up.

Compared to the seeds he had received from the Sanctum of Masters, these were completely different.

Those older seeds, which he suspected were Tier 0, had only become powerful thanks to his land quality and cultivation skills.

These, though, were already Tier 1 from the start.

He could feel the difference just holding one.

’What would I get if I harvest crops from these seeds?’

His heart beat a little faster with anticipation.

He didn’t waste any time.

Walking over to the remaining 4.5 hectares of untouched land, he activated Sovereign of Land again.

Roots burst from the soil, reaching out like living tendrils. As he spread the Tier 1 seeds across the surface, the roots gently wrapped around them and pulled them underground.

Once the planting was done, Isaac crouched down and closed his eyes.

He reached out with his senses, feeling the flow of mana and nutrients beneath the earth.

Just as he hoped, these new seeds were absorbing everything flawlessly, unlike the previous Vitality Grains.

He smiled to himself.

These might grow into Tier 2 crops. If they do…

Before he could finish the thought, Professor Catherine spoke into the comms bracelet.

“Alice. Emily. Come back to the house front. It’s time we leave.”

Within the next few minutes, both girls returned. Alice has absorbed the Body Strengthening Potions, and Emily had trained a bit with her affinities.

Professor Catherine looked toward Alice. “Before we leave, tell me. Do you need a carry?”

’Carry’ meant having a strong Awakener party with you and let them do all the fighting.

They would set the party exp distribution in your favor, so you would get most of the experience point from the hunt.

Professor Catherine explained. “It’s a common method among wealthy families. Normally we don’t approve of it at the university, but considering the situation in Stronghold right now, we have decided to be flexible.”

Alice crossed her arms and looked thoughtful.

“Keep in mind,” Catherine added, “the system tracks your location. Unless you are nearby your party member, you wouldn’t receive the experience points.”

It was possible to receive experience points if you were far away from party members, but that only happened when you made contribution in the monster hunt.

In cases like, Carry system would not help the awakeners abuse the party experience distribution more than they already could.

Alice nodded slowly, then shook her head. “No thanks. I’ll level up myself. There is no point in growing stronger if someone else does all the work for me. Besides, Emily needs help with her quest anyway. We’ll hunt together.”

Emily gave her a thumbs-up. “Thank you in advance.”

Professor Catherine gave them both an approving look. “Good. Let’s head out, then.”

The training had been intense.

By afternoon, Isaac was the only one returning to the estate.

He was behind the wheel of the jeep, bouncing lightly over the uneven road.

Alice and Emily were still out hunting with Professor Catherine keeping an eye on them, but he had wanted to come back early to check on the crops.

More specifically, the ones he’d just planted.

He sighed as he turned around the corner.

’I’m pretty sure now that Professor Catherine enjoys turning me into bait.’

She kept drawing monsters toward him during training. None of them posed a real threat, but they were annoying like persistent mosquitoes trying to drink his blood.

On the way, he decided to share the stats from Alice and Emily.

’System, show me how much Alice’s stats increased after she absorbed Body Strengthening Potion, and after she reached level 2 today.’

Strength: 40 → 44 → 48

Agility: 50 → 55 → 57

Constitution: 53 → 59 → 63

Spirit Power: 50 → 55 → 60

Mana: 53 → 60 → 64

Isaac made quick calculations.

Alice had received 10% boost to all stats from the Body Strengthening Potions.

Then, she gained roughly 4 stat points per stat from a single level. This was thanks to her species.

One’s species determined how many stats they would gain from each level up.

Humans gained +1 from each level up to all stats. Stronger races received more. It was also normal to receive 3 in some stats while only 1 in others.

Since humans were balanced, they received the same +1 in all stats.

Honestly, this was not very bad.

From what Professor Catherine, there were races like Ratmen, who received only a total +3 from one level. So while humans had poor growth rate, it was still better than most.

’Emily also used to get +1 before when her bloodline was broken, but now that it is repaired somewhat, I wonder how many stats she would get per level up.’

He shook the thoughts from his head, and muttered.

’Share stats!’

Strength: 160 → 168

Agility: 200 → 207

Spirit Power: 210 → 220

Isaac felt the exhilarating growth in power.

He continued.

’Share the effects of Body Strengthening Potion Alice absorbed!’

Strength: 168 → 193

Agility: 207 → 238

Spirit Power: 220 → 253

Immense joy filled his heart when he saw the effects. His stats were boosted by 15%!

He calmed himself, preparing for the main dish

’System, show me Emily’s stats that increased stat due to her Physique Awakening.’

Strength: 32 → 45

Agility: 50 → 99

Constitution: 31 → 56

Spirit Power: 61 → 100 [34]

Mana: 73 → 100 [60]

’Damn, quite a few stats of Emily doubled. It makes sense she was excited so much.’

Isaac was slightly disheartened to see her agility stat had not reached 100 yet. If it did, she would unlock a title, and he could share it.

’I’ll give her the stat increasing potion soon. Then, she would unlock the title, and hehe…’

Emily had unlocked Mana Resonance, and Mind Echo with Spirit Power and Mana reaching 100. Isaac had tried sharing them, but nothing had changed.

It seemed titles could not be stacked like Talents.

’Or maybe I need to increase system’s level to Lvl 3 to stack titles?’

’I guess I’ll know only when my system upgrades.’

There was no knowledge of how to level up his system. But seeing the pattern of upgrades, he suspected he needed to get 100/100 Affection of three wives.

Focusing on the issue at hand, Isaac rubbed his hands together with a grin, and said. ’Share the stats!’

Strength: 193 → 206

Agility: 238 → 287

Spirit Power: 253 → 326

Isaac was elated, sensing his growth.

All of his stats were increased by 100 since he had begun. And this wasn’t even the end!

’System, share the effects of Body Nourishment Fluid Emily used during her Physique Awakening!’

An incredible soothing sensation wrapped around him, and a screen popped up before his eyes.

System Alert: It is recommended that host shares wife Emily Warren’s Physique to absorb full benefits of the Body Nourishment Fluid (Peak Tier 1).

’Oh, right, I forgot about this. It happened during sharing Physique with Alice too.’

Not wasting anytime, Isaac said in his mind, ’Share the Physique! Share everything else too!’

Strength: 206 → 330

Agility: 287 → 460

Spirit Power: 326 → 523

Isaac was shocked by the increase. His stats jumped by 60%!

The notifications continued to roll.

[Physique: Solar Draconic Physique → Solar Draconic Physique, Hollow Crown Physique]

[Curse Affinity Level 1 gained]

[Spirit Affinity Level 1 gained]

[Ice Affinity Level 1 gained]

[Life Drain: S rank → SSS rank]

If there was a contest of overpowered system, then his Bonded Blessing System took the cake.

In mere seconds, Isaac had doubled his strength without lifting a finger, and his combat power had jumped by at least five times.

Humming in a good mood, he continued to drive.

He parked the jeep and walked into the house, pulling off his jacket and heading toward his room to change.

Just before he reached the hallway, though, he froze.

Professor Catherine was sitting comfortably in the living room as if she’d been there all day.

“Do you… have a clone skill? Or some sort of teleportation skill? How are you always everywhere?”

She gave a light laugh and tilted her head. “Who knows? Maybe I have a twin sister? Hmm, on second thought, if you tell me your race, I might tell you how I do it.”

He snorted, waved her off, and stepped back outside with her following behind.

When they reached the field again, Isaac felt the shift before he even saw it.

The new crops had matured.

Rows upon rows of Vitality Grain plants had grown rapidly.

The grains were smaller than the previous generation but much richer in color. They weren’t large, but their deep golden hue shimmered in the afternoon sun.

Just standing near them, he could feel a pull of dense mana wafting from the crop field.

“They look different,” Professor Catherine murmured, crouching near the first row.

“Yeah,” Isaac said. “It feels like the mana inside them has become purer, and more condensed.”

He closed his eyes and sensed the flow of nutrients and mana in the land. Just as he had expected, the new crops were greedily absorbing everything.

In any other place, they would suck everything out of the land, and end up killing the land in the process.

But this was no problem for Isaac.

The land he had cultivated was too rich to be sucked dry.

A grin appeared on his face. He gripped the hoe and swung it.
