While carbon dioxide (CO2) is not inherently poisonous, high concentrations can displace oxygen, leading to asphyxiation and potentially causing harm.

Also, carbon dioxide is heavier than air, approximate 1,53 times heavier than air. So if you were to release the carbon dioxide in a room, it will fall down to the bottom and this process is basically invisible to the naked eyes.
