Flash Marriage: My Penniless Billionaire Husband

Chapter 428: I Don’t Believe That I Can’t Beat Him

Chapter 428: I Don’t Believe That I Can’t Beat Him

Yvonne stared at the photo and thought of Dorothy’s sudden arrival to Tomaville.

She remembered that Dorothy had gone to the capital after graduation.

The human always walked toward the high place. Dorothy had no reason to come to Tomaville instead of staying in the capital.

Thinking about it now, maybe it was because of Stanley.

She didn’t expect that Dorothy would still be thinking about Stanley after such a long time.

She didn’t know whether to congratulate her or sympathize with her.

A scumbag like Stanley was not worth it at all.

However, this was Dorothy’s own business, so she couldn’t say anything.

Moreover, she had a relationship with Stanley before. Her identity was sensitive after all.

She hoped that Dorothy would be able to keep her eyes open and discover Stanley’s true nature as soon as possible.

Yvonne felt that it was boring for a moment and simply put her phone aside.

She raised her head and looked at the drip. Then, she rang the service bell.

Not long after, a nurse came over and pulled out the needle.

She had been lying on the bed for several days. After the needle was pulled out, she simply got out of bed and moved around.

Jason went out, and she slowly walked out of the ward alone.

Although the fetus had been affected by the car accident before, she felt better after a few days of rest.

She moved around in the corridor. When she passed by the doctor’s office, she suddenly remembered something.

Since she was pregnant, does it mean that the diagnosis in Tomaville was wrong?

However, with the authority of the Tomaville hospital, they could not make such a mistake.

Perhaps it was because of the doctor’s occupation, she felt that it was necessary to figure it out.

With that thought, she knocked on the door and walked in.

"Doctor, can I ask you a question?" She said.

"Of course." The doctor nodded.

She was wearing a hospital gown, and it was obvious that she was a patient here.

Only then did Yvonne said. "Please help me see what’s wrong with this diagnosis report."

She found the report from her phone and handed it over.

The doctor looked at it for a while and said in disbelief. "There is nothing wrong with this report from the image, but what’s going on with the diagnosis report below? Is it printed wrong?" The doctor questioned.

Yvonne was stunned for a moment before asking, "Do you mean that there’s nothing wrong with the image? Is there something wrong with the diagnosis report?"

The doctor nodded and said. "Yes, if you are still worried, you can check it again." The doctor returned the phone and Yvonne reached out to take it.

"There is no need to do that. Thank you." After thanking her, she slowly turned around and walked out.

However, she couldn’t figure it out no matter how hard she tried.

Normally, there shouldn’t be such a low-level mistake in the hospital. What’s going on? She didn’t understand.

"Dr. White, why are you here?" Jason’s voice came from behind her. Yvonne turned around and saw that he was carrying a bag of daily necessities. It was obvious that he had gone to the supermarket.

She looked at him and said, "You went shopping."

Jason nodded. "On the way back after sending an email, I happened to pass by the supermarket, so I went in to buy some things."

Yvonne nodded and fell into deep thought again.

After she went back to the ward with Jason, he went to fetch hot water with a thermos.

So she sat alone by the bed and thought to herself.

If it was just a mistake in the diagnosis report, why didn’t Dorothy find it when she asked Dorothy to take a look last time?

Dorothy was a doctor in the department of gynecology, so it was impossible for her not to notice it.

However, at that time, Yvonne clearly remembered that Dorothy had deliberately pointed out the abnormal thickness of her uterine wall in the image.

What was going on at that time?

"Could it be that Dorothy had lied to me?" She thought.

Thinking of this, Yvonne simply sent the photo to Dorothy to seek confirmation.

"Dorothy, I remember you told me last time that my friend can’t have a test tube baby, right?" She asked.

Not long after, Dorothy replied. "That’s right. By the way, Yvonne, why are you suddenly asking about this?"

"It’s nothing. I’m just asking." After that, she didn’t say anymore.

At this time, she already had known what happened.

It turned out that Dorothy had been lying to her.

"But why did she do that?" Yvonne was confused.

She had never had any grudges with Dorothy. In fact, they were even friends.

Dorothy had no reason to lie to her like this.

Yvonne couldn’t figure it out. She took out her phone and looked at Dorothy’s intimate picture with Stanley again.

An idea suddenly popped into her mind.

"Could it have something to do with Stanley?" She suddenly remembered that she had met Stanley outside the gynecology clinic when she went to the hospital for a physical examination and received the reports.

At that time, she was wondering why a head of internal medicine would appear so frequently in the department of gynecology.

When she thought up to here, Yvonne decided to do a thorough investigation.

She entrusted this matter to a colleague of hers she was familiar with in the hospital.

The next day, the colleague sent a message.

She said that Dr. Lynne, who had diagnosed her before, had been suspended from the hospital for receiving a red packet.

Yvonne asked her colleague for the contact information of Dr. Lynne.

Then she asked about the report.

At first, Dr. Lynne refused to tell the truth, but later she threatened to report it to the Ministry of Public Health, so Dr. Lynne finally told her the truth.

After all, once she was blacklisted by the Ministry of Public Health, she could no longer stay in the medical system. Even private hospitals would not hire her.

"Dr. Levingston asked me to do this. He gave me a lot of money. At that time, I happened to be in need of money and agreed. I’m sorry Dr. White, I didn’t lie to you on purpose." Dr. Lynne said with guilt on the other end of the line.

At this point, Yvonne did not want to blame Dr. Lynne anymore. She only asked her to write down what had happened and did not pursue the matter anymore.

After hanging up the phone, Yvonne could not calm down for a long time.

She never thought that the truth would turn out to be like this.

Stanley and Dorothy, the two of them echoed each other and put on a great show.

It also blamed herself for being so sad and ignoring a lot of common sense issues.

Because of the deliberately falsified diagnosis report, those wrong decisions she made, she even lost her favorite person. Thinking of this, Yvonne gnashed her teeth in hatred.

Anyway, she would not let them off.

With this thought in mind, Yvonne took action immediately. She found the photos that James had once given her.

The photos were all about Stanley and Mrs. Lynne, as well as some shady things she had found in the laboratory.

At that time, when she broke the scandal between him and Mrs. Lynne, she had the idea of reporting him.

However, she spared him because of the consideration for their relationship as fellow before.

Unexpectedly, he was so frantic to do such a thing.

If that was the case, he could not blame what she would do.

She sent the evidence to the report mailbox of the Ministry of Public Health of Tomaville. What’s more, Dr. Lynne also made a real-name reporting.

She didn’t believe that she couldn’t beat him.

...

As for Dorothy, there was nothing crueler than seeing the collapse of the man who she had loved for so long with her own eyes.

After finishing doing these things, she suddenly felt much more relaxed.

It was as if spring had arrived.

Meanwhile, on the other side.

James rushed to the Nopeka, got out of the car, and followed the IP address to find Yvonne. However, to his surprise, it was an Internet cafe.

He immediately asked the boss to show him the surveillance video at that time, but he didn’t expect that it was a strange man who posted the email to them.

The clue came to an end here again.

James was disappointed and almost mad.

He thought that he was about to find her, but he didn’t expect that the connection was cut off again.

"Mr. Taylor, should we keep looking for Miss White?" After coming out of the Internet cafe, James had not said a word. Assistant Hammer was a little undecided, so he asked.

"Yes. Even if I have to turn the whole county upside down, I have to find her." James said.

He didn’t believe that he couldn’t find her.

In the hospital.

"Jason, let’s go back to town." After finishing the discharge formalities, Yvonne said to Jason.

"But, Dr. White, aren’t you going to Tomaville?" Jason was confused.

Yvonne paused for a moment before continuing. "You know the situation in town. Recently it is a high-incidence period of epidemics. There is too short of doctors. I can’t delay any longer."

"But what about your matter in Tomaville?" Jason asked.

Thinking of James, who was still waiting for her to go back to sign the agreement, Yvonne could not help sighing in her heart.

"Let’s talk about it later." She said.

They came out of the hospital one after the other and got in the car. This time, she learned a lesson and did not dare to sit in the passenger seat. Instead, she sat in the back seat.

When they passed by a nursing home, she deliberately asked Jason to stop the car.

She sat in the car, looking at the familiar gate and the row of familiar words through the window. Suddenly, a lot of memories surged into her mind.

She recalled that she and James had done volunteer work here.

At that time, James was not as mature and steady as he was now.

He was like a playboy, acting slovenly all day long.

However, he changed a lot after marrying her.

Thinking of those scenes with him, she could not help curling her lips into a smile.

But she knew that these would eventually become her memories.

"Let’s go." She sighed and retracted her gaze.

Jason continued to drive the car, but unexpectedly, as soon as they left, James came out from the nursing home.

He did not remember much about this county. He could not think of anything except the nursing home where Yvonne had volunteered with him.

He thought that there would be some clues about her here.

But actually there was nothing.

James stood at the door and looked at the endless traffic on the road. Suddenly, he was at a loss. "Where should I go to find her?" He thought.

"Mr. Taylor, we’ve searched everywhere we can, but there’s still no clues of Miss White. What about..." The assistant wanted to ask if he should go back to Tomaville or continue searching, but he was scared by James’ cold eyes and did not dare to say anything more.

James looked around.

Although there were no clues, and it was no different from looking for a needle in a haystack, it was still much better than before.

At least, he knew that Yvonne was here!

He paused for a moment and said, "You can go back first, I’ll stay here."

"No. I can’t do that." Hammer said.

James said impatiently, "Just go back. Don’t talk too much. If something happens in the company, you can telecommute and tell me."

"Okay." Hammer replied.

After coming back to town, Yvonne only rested for one night and went to work as usual the next day.

During the break at noon, her colleagues went over to complain.

"Dr. White, you’re finally back. We’ve been busy these days without you." They said. She didn’t tell them about the car accident, so her colleagues didn’t know about it. She said, "You’ve all worked hard these days. But it’s your own duty."

Fanny sat down in front of her and teased her colleagues who were complaining, "Even if Dr. White was here, we wouldn’t dare to let her do those things. She is now the most important person to protect in our hospital. Am I right, Dr. White?"

Without waiting for Yvonne’s reply, several colleagues hurriedly echoed, "Yes, yes. Dr. White is now our focus of protection."

They laughed and chatted. Yvonne also smiled.

"By the way, have you heard that something happened in our hospital?" Somebody said.

"What happened?"

"I heard that Dr. Levingston was suspended for investigation."

"What? Why?"

It was unknown who started this topic, but soon they got together and began to chat enthusiastically.

"By the way, Dr. White, aren’t you familiar with Dr. Levingston? You should know more about this than us, right?" Someone remembered and asked.

Of course she knew that Stanley had been suspended for investigation.

After all, she was the one who reported him.

However, she didn’t want to talk about this and only said, "I’m not sure what happened."

Her colleagues found that there was no useful information, so they gradually left.

Yvonne didn’t take it to heart.

After all, she had just done what she had to do.

As for the result, it was beyond her control.

But she didn’t expect that something would happen in the morning three days later.

"Dr. White, someone is looking for you at the gate of the hospital." While she was consulting a patient, someone came over to inform her.

Yvonne nodded. After sending the patient off, she put away her tools and went to the gate.

As soon as she arrived at the door, she saw a familiar person. He turned his back to her. But who else could it be but Stanley?

"Why is he here?" Yvonne thought.

She paused for a while and walked forward. "What are you doing here?"

Only then did Stanley slowly turn around and look at her. His gaze fell on her face with a hint of suppressed anger.

"Yvonne, I heard that you reported me?" He raised his eyebrows with a disdainful look on his face.

Yvonne did not intend to hide it and said directly, "Yes, I reported it."

She had an aboveboard look on her face.

Stanley stared at her and his gaze gradually became malicious.

"Why did you do that?" He asked.

"I’ll give you a taste of your own medicine. Dr. Levingston, have you forgotten what you have done?" Yvonne said meaningfully.

"You..." Stanley gnashed his teeth and thought of something. "You know everything?"

"That’s right, I know." Yvonne said directly.

There was a flash of astonishment on Stanley’s face, and then he smiled and said, "I thought you would never know it. I didn’t expect you to find it out so soon. How is it? How did it feel in the past few months?"

Yvonne gritted her teeth in hatred as she stared at Stanley’s vile expression.

He still didn’t realize how despicable the things he had done to her.

That’s right. Someone like him doesn’t deserve to be a human. He was just a scumbag.

Seeing that she didn’t say anything, Stanley’s mood instantly improved. He had come here just to disgust her.

"Oh, I almost forgot that your husband has already found a new lover. What can you do even if you know all these things?" He said triumphantly.
