Chapter 2555 - Those Who Do Not Kneel Must Die

Chapter 2555 – Those Who Do Not Kneel Must Die

Next to the ancient ritual grounds.

The five Master Gods who’d come here with Su Yi awakened from their comas.

When they realized their predicament, their expression shifted. Still, all of them were experienced Undying Realm Master Gods, so they quickly calmed back down.

This was naturally no problem for Su Yi. He’d been conscious this entire time.

He was busy evaluating the ancient ritual ground. It was pitch black and paved entirely out of mystical chaos stones. It covered about one hundred thousand square feet.

The surface was covered in mysterious images of sacrifices. That was the source of the dazzling, blood-red light.

There was no doubt about it. This was the Shattered Heart Battlefield the chaos fiends spoke of.

Hm? When Su Yi’s gaze shifted to the side of the ritual ground, his pupils silently constricted.

A massive cage stood there. It imprisoned a group of experts, all of them an indistinct, meaty pulp. They were utterly wretched, and they lay there like beaten beasts, unconscious.

It was then that the four-armed Ming Ke’s voice rang out. “Everyone, this is the ‘world in the pit’ you speak of. We are chaos fiends, and you are now our prisoners.”

The five Master Gods exchanged glances. All of them were bewildered, but none of them said anything. All of them managed to keep their cool.

“Earlier, while you were unconscious, we placed a Divine Flame Totem in each of your bodies.” Ming Ke continued, “The totem serves as invisible shackles. You’re already thoroughly bound. No matter how hard you struggle, you cannot possibly escape.”

Divine Flame Totems? The group’s expressions darkened.

“But you should consider yourselves fortunate. Those with cultivations above the Five-Tribulation level have a chance at life.

“I know that you’re confused, but none of that matters anymore.” Ming Ke gestured to the ancient ritual ground. “Before you do anything else, you must attempt the trial of the Shattered Heart Battlefield. If you make it out alive, you’ll be worthy of serving us. We’ll naturally answer your questions then.”

One of the Master Gods couldn’t help but ask, “And if we fail?”

Ming Ke gestured to the cage and said flatly, “Fail, and you’ll become an offering, just like them. We’ll deliver you to the Chaos Fiend Blood Pool and sacrifice you to the Ancient Fiend.”

The group looked over, and when they saw the wretched figures in the cage, all of them looked stricken. Chills coursed through their hearts.

These Master Gods had been sent into the Shattered Heart Battlefield, just like they were about to be.

However, they’d obviously failed the trial. Now, they were just listless, captive beasts in a cage!

“Alright, you can now begin.” Ming Ke scanned the group. “Who wants to go first?”

The Master Gods avoided Ming Ke’s gaze. None dared to respond.

Ming Ke sneered, his gaze utterly derisive. “All of you are Undrying Realm Master Gods. That makes you peak experts by the standards of the God Domain, yet now, all of you are too intimidated to step forth?”

The golden-armored man and the woman in beast skins looked disdainful, too. These humans… have no guts!

“You go first.” Ming Ke pointed to a man in white.

The white-robed man was instantly frantic. “Sir, might you answer some of my questions first? Then, I’ll naturally enter the ritual grounds and try my luck.”

Whap!

Ming Ke smacked him in the face, making him stagger back on impact. His butt almost hit the ground.

Then, Ming Ke said disdainfully, “Bear this in mind: you are prisoners, and you’ve yet to prove your worth. What right do you have to haggle with us?”

The white-robed man’s cheek swelled. He was both startled and furious.

“Go quickly, or I’ll kill you on the spot,” Ming Ke said with seething murderous intent.

The white-robed man’s expression shifted erratically, but in the end, he gnashed his teeth. “I’ll kill you instead!”

Boom!

He charged explosively at Ming Ke, his Seven-Tribulation Undying Realm cultivation base erupting around him.

Ming Ke just stood there, unmoving, mockery written all over his face.

Bang!

The thousand-foot giant in golden armor suddenly pressed down, forcing the white-robed man to the ground and creating a giant crater.

Deathly silence fell.

The armored giant sighed in apparent pity. “Give up the struggle. Compared to us, you people… are no more than insects.”

He grabbed the white-robed man and said, “We were commanded to make all of you undergo trial on the Shattered Heart Battlefield. Were that not the case, I’d have cut you into pieces and devoured you a long time ago!”

With that, he flung the white-robed man onto the ritual grounds.

However, before he hit the ground, an old man appeared out of nowhere, pulling him out of the air. The two of them then stood outside the ritual grounds.

The old man’s eyes flashed like cold lightning. “You can kill a man, but you mustn’t humiliate him! We’ve been captured alive, but that doesn’t mean we’ve submitted!”

“Good! You’ve got guts!” Ming Ke laughed and applauded. “Finally, someone with a spine. You’re really not bad.”

The armored giant said expressionlessly, “Let’s just see how much spine he has left after I’ve crushed all of his bones!”

Boom!

He raised and swung his arm, palm swinging toward the old man. His arm was like a mountain range, and his palm was the size of a house. His hand was swathed in monstrous divine power that bore down on the sky. His terrifying strength wasn’t one whit inferior to that of a Nine-Tribulation Master God!

The old man couldn’t breathe. That terrifying pressure left him unable to move a muscle, let alone fight back. The disparity instantly made him give in to despair and surrender to his fate.

“Allow me.” A calm, soft voice echoed through the old man’s ears, but before he could respond…

Boom!

A massive impact rang out, and the armored giant’s mountainous figure staggered several steps backward. With each step he took, his face paled.

When he took his ninth step, he couldn’t help but cough up blood. Throughout his body, his blood and qi churned violently.

The sight startled everyone present. All of them instantly looked in the same place.

They weren’t sure when, but someone had appeared in front of the old man. He was an extraordinarily looking young man with a Daoist topknot and Daoist robes.

This was none other than Su Yi. However, he was in disguise, and no one knew his identity. They just knew he was another of the chaos fiends’ captives.

But none of them had anticipated that he’d step forth at a critical juncture. He hadn’t just saved the old man; he’d even forced the terrifying armored giant back!

“Impressive!” The three-tailed woman’s beautiful eyes lit up. “Big Brother Jin Ba is as strong as a Nine-Tribulation Master God, yet that guy managed to force him back. Doesn’t that mean that he’s a Nine-Tribulation Master God? That’s just the kind of subordinate the Ancient wants!”

Ming Ke exclaimed, “I didn’t realize that guy was so capable.”

Even after seeing Su Yi’s strength, both of them seemed fearless. They didn’t seem the least bit concerned that anything would go wrong.

“Hmph!” The giant, Jin Ba, snorted coldly. “That was just a casual strike. I didn’t even use thirty percent of my true strength!”

His eyes blazed like twin suns as he glared at Su Yi. “Let’s try that again!”

Boom!

His thousand-foot-frame shifted through space, swathed in blood-red, monstrous divine power. He swung his palm as if it were a giant axe.

A massive chasm tore open in the sky.

That tyrannical power sent those nearby flying. None of them could remain standing.

Except for Su Yi. Even in the face of this strike, he just stood there, unmoving. All he did was raise his right hand and deliver a similar palm strike.

Bang——!!

Heaven and earth shook violently. Divine radiance erupted.

The armored giant flew back like a kite with its strings cut, then slammed to the ground several thousand feet away.

His armor was now cracked in countless places, revealing skin now covered in bleeding wounds.

“This…” Everyone was horrified. Their eyes widened in disbelief. He injured the armored giant in a single palm strike?

Even Ming Ke and the other chaos fiends looked at Su Yi differently now.

The chaos fiends stationed near the battlefield were alerted, too. All of them shot toward Su Yi.

The atmosphere was oppressive. Murderous intent permeated the air.

But Su Yi didn’t even seem to notice it. He just said to the old man, “The rest of you should step back for now.”

Next, he swept his gaze across the chaos fiends. “I have questions for you. Starting now, those who kneel before me shall be worthy of answering them. Those who refuse to kneel must die.”

His voice boomed throughout the area.

This wasn’t a discussion; those were orders! He was like a sovereign issuing a decree.

None could disobey!
