After a brief, stunned pause, many of them cried out in grief and despondency. Mi Yeyun gnashed his teeth. Jin Buyi’s face was ashen. Buddhist Son Lian Sheng closed his eyes and clasped his palms together, a hint of grief on his brow.

The corners of Feng Wuji’s lips twitched, and he muttered, “Martial Uncle Wen Xiao, I warned you many times over, so why did you refuse to listen…? But don’t worry. I most certainly won’t be getting revenge for you.”

The little monkey shot forth, and when it saw the dead gods strewn all over the ground, its eyes lit up with mad delight.

The vertical eye on its forehead silently opened, and a beam of gray light shot forth and scanned the area. The strewn corpses and pooling blood vanished completely.

“Don’t get greedy,” warned Su Yi.

The little monkey nodded repeatedly.

Meanwhile, Ferryman Mu Tianqi was scared completely out of his wits. He cried out, “Your Excellency Su, this old man is willing to do whatever it takes to make amends for his crimes! Just please, show mercy and spare my humble little life!”

“You knowingly violated the rules. On what basis should I spare you?” Su Yi said coldly.

Mu Tianqi shrieked, “I was coerced! I had no choice but to agree!”

“Oh? Whose orders were you acting on, then?”

“Celestial Venerate Fiery Abyss!” Mu Tianqi said hurriedly. “Numerous terrifying experts once held in check by the power of reincarnation have reawakened. Celestial Venerate Fire Abyss is one of them!”

Su Yi looked at the old man in gray. “Qin Futao, huh? You can hold onto your life for now.”

The old man was instantly mad with delight. “Thank you so much, Your Excellency. Thank you so much!”

Su Yi then addressed the other five. “I also need someone else for verification. If you catch Qin Futao in a lie, you can live.”

Qin Futao quivered from head to toe.

“I’m willing! Your Excellency Su, I’m willing!” a middle-aged man in black cried out urgently, longing written all over his face. “I can do more than just ensure that Qin Futao doesn’t dare to lie to you. I can also tell you everything I know!”

“Very well. You’ll do.” Su Yi nodded.

The other four panicked. All of them frantically expressed their willingness to cooperate.
