Facing an Ancient God for a Year

Chapter 1977 - 1972: Mathematical Nirvana (33)

Chapter 1977: Chapter 1972: Mathematical Nirvana (33)

Each new system seems clearly obsolete for a long time.

Without much effort, Fu Qian locked onto the third active umbilical cord.

By comparison, it already had a noticeable dry feeling, and the veins connected behind were the same, with the special liquid flowing from it being almost nonexistent.

It was apparent that it hadn’t been very active before, thus not stepping up when the second cord was pulled out, allowing itself to gain extra time.

Of course, even if it did step up, it wouldn’t change anything.

Once there’s the second successful case, Fu Qian didn’t mind slicing through all the way.

The question now is, if the first cord was originally connected to the body, how did the second one step up?

...

Considering that the taste completely matched the "bliss" he was searching for, the first cord can be confirmed as original.

Based on this, it seems imaginable that his "cutting" behavior in the Paradise coincides with pulling out the umbilical cord at an even higher level.

And once it’s pulled out, cutting off the subsequent bliss supply, sooner or later he would awaken in this world, achieving yet another transcendence.

However, during this process, the second umbilical cord smoothly connected, causing him, under the influence of another kind of pleasure, not to awaken immediately, even falling into another illusion.

Where is the world without the White Head Holy Church where he fell to the ground?

Referring to these numerous umbilical cords and the journey, it’s actually not difficult to understand.

There’s an old saying that deep skills need corresponding Buddhist teachings to dissolve them; otherwise, they risk backfiring and causing deviation.

Analogous to this, each kind of chemical bliss requires a corresponding scene to digest it; otherwise, the potion’s effect wouldn’t be optimal.

The two different worlds are precisely the tools to digest two different types of pleasure.

The reason for making such a judgment is also because right at this moment, as Fu Qian recalled the past, some sort of wonderful change was happening in his mind.

Not only the True Bliss Realm and the world he fell in, but more than one seeming illusion surged forth all at once.

This is what’s called a dimensionality reduction strike.

Examining and comparing these scattered bits of information, Fu Qian had a brand new angle of understanding the experiences in the Paradise.

It’s only a part of the "self".

Like the brain sliced into pieces and soaked in different concentrations of potions, the "True Bliss Realm" corresponds to the highest concentration, then the fallen world, and then decreasing one by one.

Different worlds are not interconnected, only when awakening from the third realm do they merge together again, defining the self.

And each slice’s corresponding experience turns into past dust.

So is this the chemical version of the "Reincarnation"?

Counting the number of umbilical cords, I’ve practiced Reincarnation eighteen times.

Although earlier experiences are very blurry, leaving only fragments, you can still discern the pleasures’ flavors getting stronger.

Corresponding to the image of these umbilical cords, it’s entirely imaginable for them to grow one after another, replacing the older ones.

So theoretically, the "next-new" umbilical cord should have already been eliminated.

Rather than believing it has not completely lost its vitality and instinctively stepped up after I pulled out the cord, Fu Qian is more inclined to believe there’s an additional push from an invisible opponent.

This is akin to a behavior similar to nailing a coffin shut.

If not for being well-read in game theory, I probably would’ve mistaken that world as the third realm and explored it thoroughly.

The path to enlightenment truly is not just talk.

As for now, why not try to find the long-past acquaintance or traces here?

Confirming that control over his limbs had mostly recovered, Fu Qian didn’t mind the persistent abdominal pain, discarding the cord and sitting up to search around carefully.

...

See, there would be a switch.

Soon, Fu Qian discovered an oddly-shaped structure hidden among the umbilical cords.

Like an old car’s interior door switch, or a giant zipper lock.

It’s actually not very eye-catching, but Fu Qian was purposefully seeking it.

The reason is simple, although the interface on the belly is organic, it’s designed with a full flesh-punk aesthetic.

Trying to find something with the same style is quite normal, right?

Ssshhh—

Within the peculiar sound, Fu Qian already pulled the lock.

And indeed, as if there is an invisible zipper, a seam slowly tore open on the container wall with exertion.

Given that the position was below the waterline, warm liquid immediately flowed out.

...

What is this?

Without hesitation, carefully controlling the force to enlarge the gap, at one moment Fu Qian finally saw a bit of the outside scene.

Looking over...a beverage canning machine?

It’s visible that this container akin to a Nutrition Chamber was slanted on a not-so-large platform.

And above the platform, it’s facing a similarly organic structure.

The style is similar to the interface on his navel, with a bio-mechanical feel, but much more complex in structure.

The center is a circle of downward-spiraling thin tubes, slowly retracting, seemingly just having finished injecting into the container, with droplets still falling from the tip—the color is indeed the second kind he tasted.

So there was indeed some small action involved?

The originally next-new umbilical cord wasn’t so active anymore, just pulled here and re-injected with corresponding material?

The observation and conclusion came almost simultaneously, and his actions didn’t pause either. Fu Qian already climbed out from the opened gap, landing on the platform outside.

It’s not just the filling head that’s organic, but all the structures.

The platform, seemingly smooth, has a certain soft warmth when stepped upon, also has a slight anti-slip callous texture.

He really seems to have arrived at a flesh factory—more than one set of filling equipment even.

Scanning around, Fu Qian quickly discovered that the current platform is actually the top of a high-raised tower from the ground.

And similar Towers of Flesh are not just one in sight.

Each tower’s shape varies slightly, but all have similar functions.

Among them, two towers’ tops can be seen with similar Nutrition Chambers like the one he just crawled out of.

The farther one is indeed tightly connected to the upper filling head, seemingly undergoing injection.

Interesting, it really does look like a production line, just missing conveyor belts—

His contemplation abruptly halted, as at one moment in his vision, a slender gripper unexpectedly descended from the sky, gracefully grasping another Nutrition Chamber, swinging it towards the distance.

Got it, so it’s not conveyor belts, but mechanical arms?
