Evolving My Undead Legion In A Game-Like World

Chapter 582 Taking Action [3]

Chapter 582 Taking Action [3]

The surviving Rank 3s steadied themselves, their laws igniting one after another.

Out of the nearly five dozen monsters, only thirty remained.

As if following some unspoken order, the thirty split evenly into groups of six-each set claiming a single undead as their opponent. The monsters didn’t want the aftermath of their clash to spill over and damage the “treasure” at the dome’s center. So, without hesitation, they pulled apart, opening space for their chosen battles. Rank 3 monsters were all capable of flight and stepping into the void. With a surge of power, the battlefield fractured as they vanished, dragging their duels into the first layer of the void-an eerie realm where the world itself looked like an illusion. There, they existed in two places at once: still in the world, yet also hidden in the veil of the void.

Michael’s breath hitched as the battlefield split apart.

He had known Rank 3s were destructive. But knowing and seeing were two different things. When Rank 3 monsters went all out, it wasn’t a battle anymore-it was a calamity show.

The sky itself had changed. Threads of light and shadow bled through the heavens, distorted by laws clashing in the first layer of the void. Each strike painted the horizon.

For a heartbeat, a thought came: Run.

If he fled now, the void battles would rage on. His undead, bound by contract, would return to him eventually. All he had to do was slip away in the chaos and escape the eyes of the monsters.

But the thought died as quickly as it came.

Because he felt them.

All thirty of the monster gazes.

Michael’s chest rose and fell, heavy, as his eyes darted across the colourful sky..

Michael knew his undead weren’t weak. Gale’s severing wind, he already knew, could cut through a lot of things. Beginning, he suspected, carried the greatest strength among his Rank 3s. Even if temporary, Michael had always thought Beginning would be the most terrifying of them.

But Lucky and Prince… they had blindsided him.

Lucky’s aura alone had frozen a dozen Rank 3 monsters in place, and his draconic flames-untainted by venom yet far more destructive- looked nothing like the creature Michael had first raised. That was no wolf-drake hybrid anymore. That was a calamity beast in the making.

And Prince…

Michael’s fingers trembled against the dome wall. He wanted to think more about it, to unravel how Prince’s law functioned, what it could mean for their future. But he couldn’t.

This wasn’t the time.

Somehow, Michael could already guess that these monsters were here because of him.

Michael sucked in a sharp breath, jaw clenched, his gaze lifting again to the warped, colorful sky above. The void shimmered there, laws clashing and folding into illusions that painted the world in impossible hues. Every pulse of energy from above hammered into him.

Michael’s heart pounded with urgency.

I have to think of a solution. Now.

Thinking that since this was caused by his evolution, it might be the solution to his problem.

Subconsciously, Michael called out his status.

[Name]: Michael Norman

[Skills; Undead Summoning, Undead Revival…………Genesis body…..]

Michael’s eyes skimmed the panel, his pupils dilating.

Immediately, he noticed something strange. His stats were lower- visibly, at least-but his body told him the opposite. He wasn’t weaker.

He was stronger.

Much stronger.

His mind, sharpened by his heightened intelligence, pieced it together in an instant. His race had changed. True Human. The difference wasn’t in numbers-it was in substance.

If a High Human and a True Human both had the same stats, the latter would crush the former with overwhelming ease. Two times… no, perhaps even more. Michael could feel it in his bones. The system’s numbers hadn’t lessened him; they had redefined him.

And yet, as monumental as that was, he knew this wasn’t the most shocking part of his status. The gifts, the titles, the shift of his entire existence-they were matters too vast to contemplate right now. He forced the thought down. His lips pressed into a grim line.

Because the battlefield outside did not pause for his realizations.

The sky above writhed with colour, laws tearing into each other in the

first layer of the void. Each clash bled through the veil. Michael focused on his status and there was one thing that immediately caught his attention due to the current situation.

A title.

[Title: Mortal God.]

Summary: Against the natural order, a mortal body not yet divine has

taken the shape and resilience of a god’s vessel. This title recognizes

your defiance of limits.

Effect: Physical durability, vitality, and recovery are drastically increased. Your mortal body functions as a pseudo-divine vessel, granting resistance to law-based damage.

There was one thing Michael had wondered about the result of his evolution and that was if it would finally give him the strength to face a Rank 3 in a true fight?

Physically, he knew he could. His body, even before this evolution, could crush ordinary Rank 3 creatures if it came down to brute force. But the moment they used their laws, the tide turned. Laws twisted the battlefield itself, made flesh and bone meaningless. Against that, even he had been helpless.

Yet now, staring at the new title glowing on his panel, Michael felt

something stir deep in his core.

[Title: Mortal God]

Michael’s chest tightened as he read. Resistance to law-based

damage.

Was this it? The answer to the question he had been asking all along? The bridge between body and law?

The numbers on the panel might have fallen, but the feeling in his blood told another story. Each breath filled him with force. Michael flexed his fingers, the dome wall trembling at his touch.
