Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 3075 A New Request

Chapter 3075 A New Request

Steelmind didn’t hear from the Death God again. He didn’t even hear about her in the war reports.

The reports themselves were quite depressing, as the only news these days seemed to be about more people who had died. Another few gods had died recently on the front line, and from the sounds of it, it wasn’t going to get any better.

The other demons were strong enough, but the Undying God was presenting the most trouble, as no one was able to successfully kill him or trap him. His comrades helped him escape each time, making him almost impossible to kill.

The demons had grown exceptionally violent after the discovery of the World Tree. He wondered how the Sky God was planning to steal it from them.

The war grew bigger with time, the demons now showing up deeper in human territory. Places like the Sky Split Realm and the Spirit Soul Realm, which had seen very few battles, were now growing with activity as demons were finding new ways to sneak in.

Even places that were previously considered safe were starting to become less and less safe. At this rate, despite the demons’ overall strength being much less than the humans’ total, they might truly end up winning through their sheer group effort.

Humans were spread far too thin, and most of them fought for themselves as much as for someone else. And Steelmind had increasingly understood that many of the gods were cowards as well.

Many of the gods who held great powers refused to stay on the front line for too long. Similarly, many of the Celestials who hid around the world refused to take action as well.

Maybe, once they realized how dire the situation had become, they would finally take action.

Steelmind continued reading the reports and was quickly confused. He understood the Death God’s disappearance, but he was surprised to find that the Alchemy God had disappeared as well.

In his stead, there were now other alchemists working who had taken on his knowledge. Their combined efforts had saved many people from dying of wounds that would’ve otherwise been lethal even just thirty thousand years ago.

Still, the Alchemy God’s absence was felt in the war, and as time passed, it only grew.

It was many years later that he once again heard about the Death God. And even then, it wasn’t about her. The Death God had apparently grown far too weak to be traveling on her own, so someone else had come in her stead to request something.

Steelmind finished his current work and left to meet the person who had been waiting for him.

The person who had been waiting for him sat on the couch, wearing

a…

Their hair was…

Their eyes were…

The person spoke to him, saying something.

“Oh, I didn’t expect her to send a Death Sage,” Steelmind replied. “It must be an important task.”

The person said something else.

“Yes, I do still have the other portions,” Steelmind said. “What does she wish me to make for her? Another one of her weapons?”

The person wanted him to make something not for them or the Death God, but rather for all of humanity. With the demons’ current advancement, they were a threat beyond what they had ever been. As a result, it was of utmost necessity that they find a way to destroy them once and for all.

And the person had just the way.

Steelmind was given a talisman with an idea within it. He read

through it, learning about the sword he was being requested to make. The sword employed the understanding from the Fiend’s battle,

learning how to use it to kill the Undying God.

Reading through it, he quickly realized this was an almost similar request to what had been given to the Artifact Sage, who had ended up killing everyone. They had tried it in the past, but the Sword God’s arrogance back then had led to his death.

“I will need some time to think,” Steelmind said, but before he could leave, the other person spoke.

They made some arguments on why this was an urgent requirement, and while they knew the importance of the metal Steelmind had, it would be useless if not put to better use. And if they delayed any longer than they already had, more innocent humans would die.

Steelmind took a moment to read through what they wanted him to do again – to put not just Death aura but Darkness aura into the metal as well. It was going to be tough.

However, since he didn’t want to see the death toll rise, he was willing to give it a try. He would make this sword.

The Death Sage remained there while Steelmind got to working on

the sword.

Since the day he had made the Duskcorpse Scythe and failed, he had

some other ideas about what sort of weapons he could make with the metal. He had focused on using the Qi-lines to use the technique, but this time, he wanted to change that.

The metal itself was capable of absorbing and keeping aura, so he didn’t need a complex Qi-line to make it work. He just needed the metal itself to use the aura. The Qi-line itself could be a way to transfer the aura of the metal into an attack.

That would be so much simpler.

He found the Death Sage and asked how they were going to acquire

the Darkness aura required, but the Death Sage already had it prepared. The Death Sage brought out an egg-like artifact that contained potent Darkness aura.

They had been preparing to make this sword for tens of thousands of years and were ready for it. Similarly, Steelmind was also given

another egg-like artifact that contained potent Death aura. The Death Sage himself was willing to help pour the two auras into the weapon, just like the Death God had.

Understanding as much, there wasn’t much left for Steelmind to do. So, after some time, he was ready to create the Demon-Killing Sword.
