Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 2897: Final Preparations

Chapter 2897: Final Preparations

The Yin Bead sucked in all Yin in the surroundings, filling Alex with a deep sense of coolness. He had delayed this one task for a long time, but with how his body constitution had developed, he had to take in the Yin.

As coldness seeped into every aspect of Alex’s physique, he finally left when he could handle it no longer. He escaped back out in the middle of the night to where Pearl and Whisker were waiting for him.

Pearl moved forward. “Are you done, brother?” he asked.

“A little,” Alex explained. “My body is temporarily stable, but once the Yin in me is used up, I fear I will start heating up again. I need to do this multiple times until the Yin Bead is strong enough to produce enough Yin on its own.”

“I see,” Pearl said.

They left back for the sect after that, having nothing else to do.

Alex relayed what had happened to the Grand Elder and Bladedance, telling them that it wouldn’t be long before it was time for them to leave.

The old man began making preparations. He had already been preparing for a long time, but having heard how soon it would be, he began dealing with all the things he had kept for the end.

Bladedance just waited, having nothing else to do.

While they all waited, Alex gave them the fruits. He told them of their benefits and let them consume as much of the fruits as they could.

Alex spent all his time studying the void, the distorted sky, and going down to consume more Yin from time to time. The more he studied, the more he was certain that there was nothing he could learn anymore.

He had learned a lot of various daos as much as he could. And if he wasn’t wrong, he now understood, with quite an extensive knowledge, the Dao of Time.

At that point, he was ready to leave.

Once Alex told the others of that, they settled to leave in 2 more days.

Wugin Langwan, the sect master of the Endless Night sect, came to meet Alex the evening before their departure. He bowed slightly as he entered.

“Sect Master Wugin, what brings you here?” Alex asked the man.

“I wanted to speak to you about something.”

The man entered and sat to the side. “How confident are you in escaping this world?” he asked.

“I… can’t say I’m very confident,” Alex said. “But I am decently confident.”

“Grand Elder makes it sound like a done deal. I’m glad to hear that you’re not going in with overconfidence.”

“No, I’m aware of my own limits,” Alex said. “There is a discernible amount of risk in this endeavor of ours.”

The sect master remained quiet for a moment. “I hear we can only cultivate for some few thousand years with our current system.”

“At least another 50 thousand years, no doubt,” Alex said. “Maybe even more.”

“But that’s not a long time,” the sect master said. “We will be unable to cultivate after that.”

Alex failed to respond to those words for a long while. How could he explain that it was, in fact, a very long time to a man that had already lived that long? Their perspective on the entire thing was so skewed by the years they had lived.

“I see,” he said in the end. “Why do you tell me this? I have no way of helping you with the space stones.”

“We don’t need any help with the space stones,” the man said. “In fact, we were hoping you would help take us away.”

“Take you away?” Alex asked in surprise.

“Yes,” the sect master said, before immediately following. “Not right now, of course. There is a chance it may all fail. But if you succeed in leaving, then you’ll surely find a way to come back in the future. There is a long time before we stop being able to cultivate, so I just wish to ask you to come before that time.”

Alex smiled a little. “I see. I will return then,” he said. “I will not promise this since I cannot guarantee I can keep my words, but I will try my best. I have reasons to return to Hell in the far future anyway, so I will do it.”

The sect master smiled. “Thank you. That is all I wished to say. I will leave you now. I’m sure you have a lot to prepare for your journey tomorrow.”

The sect master left.

Outside, the Grand Elder said his final goodbyes to the members of his sect that he had been with for so long.

He had long since passed on any and all knowledge he had gathered, so now it remained for these people to take care of Hell. The old man had cleared his hands of such a responsibility.

The next morning, a select group of people left the sect, going over to a location far away. They arrived on top of a dune and landed.

Whisker and Pearl had long since entered the Soul Space, so only Alex, the Grand Elder, and Bladedance were out.

The several elders that had come to watch them leave stood far away, giving them space.

Alex looked toward the old man and his master. “It would be better if you both were to enter my Soul Space too,” he said. “I will have to worry about a lot less that way.”

“I shall do that then,” the old man said. He turned to wave toward the people that had come to see him off and entered Alex’s Soul Space.

Bladedance shook her head. “Until I’m certain there is no danger for you inside, I won’t leave. It is likely you will need me.”

Alex did not argue. He simply brought out his sword and took a deep breath. Aura of space and time filled the sword, and he prepared the attack and swung it.

Limitless Void Slash

The attack tore open a hole to the Void and Alex turned toward his master.

“Let us enter, Master.”
