Eternal Cultivation Of Alchemy

Chapter 2871: Ways to Exit

Chapter 2871: Ways to Exit

Between cultivating, consuming Sunhearts, and eating the fruit of the Tree of Life, Alex was lost in his days, with nothing else to do.

He occasionally forced himself to stop in order to go out and teach Alchemy to the old man as he had promised, but that was the only respite he got before he got back into his tasks.

By now, the old man had understood that Whisker was just as useful to teach him Alchemy, so he had decided to teach everything he knew back to Whisker. The man and the mouse spent their days passing along knowledge and fighting battles in the Battle Mimicry Artifact.

While Whisker did his own thing, Alex focused on what he needed to do as well. With his promise to Pearl, he had focused initially on finding out the composition of the energy within the fruit, but it was far too complex.

Sadly, he needed a much better understanding of it, and for that, he needed his proper spiritual sense back.

That meant he would have to focus all he could on getting rid of the seal as quickly as he could.

He was certainly making improvements on that front. The hole he formed in the Seal was larger than ever. He could now easily send in and bring out objects larger than the size of his fist without forcing them through the seal.

Soon, he would be able to take a lot of things out, so long as they didn’t have a space of their own on the inside.

Alex happily cultivated for nearly 3 months when Bladedance arrived once again.

“You’ve rested long enough. We need to go train again.”

Alex didn’t question the Sword God. He followed her and went to the desert.

They arrived at the same remote location as before. Bladedance brought out her sword and cut through the fabric of space, spilling out the colorful light onto the red sand.

Alex widened the hole again and began learning the knowledge within.

Bladedance sat to the side, waiting.

She didn’t just waste her time doing nothing either, and closed her eyes, trying to meditate. She needed to reach her peak as soon as she could.

A little more than a day passed when Bladedance opened her eyes and used her Intent on the Void opening, keeping it wide open.

Alex was a little surprised. He could still continue holding on to this, but the help was certainly appreciated. He said nothing and continued understanding the aura, trying to get as close to it as he could.

The more he did, the more information he got.

The main issue with learning from the Void, sadly, was that there were too many aurae forcing their way out at once, and he could not focus on just one part.

There were 3 Daos that he already knew, 5 he had begun learning, and more that he hadn’t the faintest clue where to start from. An amalgamation of all of those made it difficult to concentrate on just one at a time.

There wasn’t anything Alex could really do, however, so he was forced to continue just like this. Thankfully, he had already gained some idea of what he needed to do for this.

After some time, Alex let reality close up to the Void, and slumped down on the sand.

Bladedance’s face was slightly haggard as well. She had helped him keep it open for quite some time.

“Nearly 2 days,” she said with a light gasp for air. “That was much better than last time.”

Alex nodded. “My Intent has grown a little stronger in the past few months,” he answered. “And your aid has no doubt helped too.”

Bladedance supposed that was true. “Is it helping though?” she asked. “If we spend all this time without any improvement, then that would just be a colossal waste of both our time.”

“I’m improving,” Alex said. “At the very least, I’m beginning to understand what I’m supposed to do on the inside. Although, it isn’t such an easy thing to do.”

“You’re understanding that?” she asked.

Alex nodded. “I don’t need to have the exact Dao. My only task inside will be to understand the Time and Space aura and decide based on that how to navigate it. We’ll need to avoid places that have sped-up time, or places that expand space, making us travel for ages for no distance at all.”

“That sounds about right,” Bladedance said. She didn’t have any particular idea about traveling through the Void to begin with; just that one would need to understand the inside to go in and come back out.

“Have you understood yet how we are leaving?” she asked him. “Or am I just going to have to cut open a hole to the outside like I am doing here?”

Alex raised an eyebrow. “Can you cut a hole to the real world when you’re inside the void?” he asked.

Bladedance paused. “Perhaps… not,” she said in a serious tone. “There is technically no space on the inside, is there? I cannot cut space if it does not exist.”

Alex nodded.

“That’s annoying. How do we get out then?” she said. “Surely we aren’t going to try and find a Voidgate to go outside.”

“That… may be our main way of getting out,” Alex said. “However, we shouldn’t rely only on that, so I have come up with a possible alternative.”

“What alternative?” Bladedance asked.

“Your technique that you use to open Void, it is specifically made for cutting space, right?” he asked.

Bladedance nodded. “It’s a technique I made after the sky of my world,” she said. “What about it?”

“Would you mind teaching it to me?” Alex asked. “I can use pure Space aura, so I may be able to use it on the inside.”

“You want me to teach you my sword skill?” Bladedance asked.

Alex nodded. “And if you don’t mind, could you teach me a bit more too? I wish for you to impart upon me your understanding of the Sword.”
