Emperor’s Domination

Chapter 6366: Destroy Them All

Chapter 6366: Destroy Them All

Regardless of their feelings toward the Chen, the blood maelstrom was a discomforting sight.

Calling Desolate Frontier as the leader of the righteous faction was not out of line. This maelstrom shouldn’t be here.

“It’s the rebirth legacy.” Protectors and elders became alarmed.

“They activated that place.” Crimson Virtue said.

“Who? Ten-realm Emperor? But he’s dead.” One disciple said.

“Who knows? Maybe it can revive him but that’s ominous. This phenomenon does match historical descriptions though.” A protector responded.

“Just what kind of place is it?” The disciple became curious.

The upper echelons of Desolate Frontier rarely discussed this special location, treating it as a taboo subject.

Now, most disciples thought this place was taboo, hence the supreme ancestor’s decision. The other two branches also wanted it to stop. Nevertheless, this didn’t kill their curiosity.

“I have no idea, few have actually seen it.” The protector shook her head.

“What’s wrong with it, why must it be destroyed?” Someone else asked.

“Because the legacy requires blood sacrifice.” The protector answered.

Those nearby became alarmed. Even a fool understood the meaning behind these two words.

“Please elaborate.” Another asked while staring at the blood maelstrom.

“I don’t know, outsiders aren’t privy to this information.” The protector responded.

Everyone thought the legacy process gave the Chen immense strength. Each legacy produced a new primal ancestor or heaven-slayer.

Tenth-gen Chen became equal to Everlasting Jiang. The next one might produce a supreme overlord. However, they knew little about the actual process.

Of course, no secrets could be kept forever. A few desolate gods and emperors were in the know. Some protectors and elders caught whispers of it too.

“Don’t tell me they’re catching people for the sacrifice.” One disciple remarked while trembling.

As a righteous sect, such a heinous deed was indeed unforgivable.

“No, it’s all voluntary. Their members sacrifice themselves.” The protector revealed.

“Voluntary?!” Listeners felt their scalp tingling.

“But why?” Someone murmured.

“They consider aiding the legacy process to be a supreme honor. Thus, they take pride in doing so.” The protector said.

“Isn-isn’t this a devious path?” Another remarked.

“Of course.” The protector agreed.

“Then why haven’t we stopped it?” The disciple asked.

“Because it’s their internal affair. Now, they became strong enough for the other branches to stop.” The protector sighed.

At the very start, the Chen led by First-gen Chen was stronger than the initial form of Desolate Frontier. He was the seven stars’ senior.

Once Desolate Frontier took form, the Chen joined as a clan with full autonomy. Desolate Frontier never interfered with their internal matters, which led to this situation.

On one hand, there was no problem if the sacrifice was voluntary. No outsiders were being hurt and the participants were more than happy to do so. Why would anyone else interfere?

Li Qiye saw the blood maelstrom and glanced at Centurial Peak: “Can’t spare the suicidal.”

“The Chen isn’t doing the legacy process.” Jiang Qingmei frowned and said: “They want to call Ten-realm Emperor’s soul back.”

“Then destroy them, all.” Li Qiye said.

“All of them?” She was surprised to hear this.

“We have shown enough mercy, no need to hope for them to change.” Li Qiye said.

She pondered and agreed. Desolate Ancestor had warned them before but they insisted after her departure.

“I understand.” She took a deep breath.

“Gather your men and take them out.” Li Qiye waved.
