Chapter 1346 - 1385: The Night Spent Together
This was Alice Conley’s understanding during this period.
Mabel Quinn was stunned by the words, and she couldn’t even remember what she said to Alice afterwards. Her mind was repeatedly filled with only Alice’s understanding.
Could it be possible? Is it like this? Did he lose this memory because he wanted to disappear with her?
Her heart seemed to tremble slightly again, with a feeling she couldn’t even describe.
In the evening, Kyle Kinston came to the Quinn Family. Edward Quinn didn’t show much friendliness towards Kyle Kinston, but he didn’t shut him out either.
Thinking about his daughter spending the night with Kyle Kinston, Edward Quinn, as a father, couldn’t help but feel displeased.
He hadn’t even forgiven this guy for what happened years ago. Yet now, because of the Full Moon, because of the Kinston Family’s Blood Curse, this guy can openly take advantage of his daughter.
As for little Katherine Quinn, she was very welcoming to her daddy’s arrival, pulling at Kyle Kinston to continue building the "Kitty’s Home" with her.
After dinner, Edward Quinn looked at the hands of his daughter and Kyle Kinston joined together, and solemnly said to Kyle, "Tonight, you may only hold Mabel’s hand, nothing more."
In other words, any further actions were not allowed!
Kyle Kinston agreed quite magnanimously, which made Edward Quinn’s expression slightly better.
Because of the hand-holding situation, Kyle Kinston couldn’t help his daughter build the Kitty’s Home. Fortunately, Mabel Quinn agreed to let her daughter watch an extra hour of animation today, so the little girl was rather happy with that.
Mabel Quinn and Kyle Kinston took their daughter back to the room, the little girl sat properly in front of the TV watching animation, while Mabel kept an eye on her daughter’s reaction. Tonight was the Full Moon, and if her daughter had indeed inherited the Blood Curse, it should manifest.
However, even after her daughter finished watching the animation and fell asleep, there were no signs of discomfort or pain.
This allowed Mabel Quinn to breathe a slight sigh of relief; at least for now, it seemed, her daughter hadn’t inherited the Blood Curse.
"Are you worried about Ivy?" Kyle Kinston naturally noticed Mabel Quinn’s tense and worried demeanor.
"It’s hard not to worry," Mabel Quinn smiled bitterly. "When you... first experienced the Blood Curse, what was it like?" She hesitated and couldn’t help but ask.
"The first time it struck, it wasn’t too painful. The pain deepens year by year, but at least before the age of 10, it’s still within bearable limits. Back then, for me, the pain wasn’t the most painful thing," he replied.
She was taken aback, then realized; before he was nine, he lived with his mother, and probably more painful than the Blood Curse was the abuse from his mother.
The Blood Curse occurred only once a month, but that kind of pain might have been daily; meaning he probably lived every day in fear of being beaten at any time.
She bit her lip slightly. If she hadn’t asked that, maybe he wouldn’t have recalled his childhood once again.
However, she then heard him say, "In fact, more than pain, there’s a feeling of something missing."
"Missing?" She looked at him, puzzled.
