Death... and me

Chapter 4017: Last Plates

Chapter 4017: Last Plates

The years passed fast, Rean, Kentucky, and Foliana going out more and more often. Zonhime had her doubts about whether Rean’s group was truly going out to look for resources. However, considering Roan’s group always stayed behind, she didn’t have much to complain about.

That was especially so on the seven thousandth year. They were once again attacked, this time by Eronfi Gluou Alliance and the Lubraz Corporation. These two powers weren’t exactly close to the Qufis Alliance’s territory outside, but there were a few times their interests clashed.

As for the reason they decided to join forces and attack Qufis, that’s because of the Plovel guys, the ones the Qufis and the twins’ group easily beat before. They kept an eye on the Qufis Alliance and knew that Qufis had several Divinity Realm Experts. They used this information to convince Eronfi and Lubraz, saying that even though they weren’t located near each other outside, this sudden spike of Divinity Realm Experts would eventually spell trouble for them.

Too bad it was all for nothing. Eronfi and Lubraz attacked when Rean, Foliana, and Kentucky were in the Formation, thinking that it didn’t matter who was there now that they were allied.

What happened was a complete one-sided humiliation. Even if the twins’ group were using skills and weapons that their real selves don’t use, they were still much stronger than your average Divinity Realm Expert from this Future Realm.

Both Eronfi and Lubraz lost over half of the experts that attacked Qufis, including two Divinities. Only then did they finally manage to flee.

Qufis, of course, got a few deaths within its ranks too. That alliance just had way too many experts for even the twins’ group to manage to protect everyone. Let alone now that they were pretending to be someone else and not using their real skills and elements.

It wasn’t all bad news, though. Such a big battle obviously attracted a lot of attention, and many Divinity Realm Experts, new and old ones, came to watch with their Divine Senses. Once they saw what Qufis was capable of, they understood Qufis hit the jackpot during this Future Realm opening.

Many of their Space-Time Realm Experts managed to enter the Divinity Realm, and attacking them now would definitely not be worth it. If anything, they would have to keep an eye out in case Qufis decides to attack their settlements instead.

In the years of eight and nine thousand, no one came to cause trouble for Qufis. Everyone was able to cultivate without any interventions. Finally, Fonseca, one of the seven Peak Stage Space-Time Realm Experts from Qufis, succeeded. He reached the Divinity Realm, putting Zonhime’s mind even more at ease.

During this time, Tanxan also reached the limit of the Space-Time Realm, but he has been stuck in that since then. Foliana was the same thing. Even after thousands of years, she was also stuck in that Peak Stage of the Space-Time Realm.

Neither of them was discouraged, though. Once again, they haven’t even managed to find their own Celestial Laws to absorb, so they weren’t in a hurry. First of all, it wasn’t anything new for an expert to take tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, or even millions of years to achieve that one breakthrough. You truly couldn’t take the Rean, Roan, Celis, and Kentucky’s example. After all, they had guaranteed breakthroughs thanks to both the system and the fact that they had been in the Divinity Realm before.

---

Somewhere halfway through the nine thousand years, Rean’s group swapped the last Time Plate. All the Time Plates inside the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm were the last ones out of synch, and it would only take eleven years until Xyrath caught up to the frozen time displayed inside them.

"Phew... finally done," Rean said as he stretched.

Xyrath couldn’t help but feel a little emotional. "It’s been so, so long..."

"Say," Foliana spoke, "After he catches up to these Times Plates, how much time will we have available in the Future Realm?"

"Hum?" Xyrath looked at her, then focused for a few seconds. "Let’s see. Considering that the Time Plates inside the Dimensional Realm also affect the speed of the Future Realm... The amount of time it will remain open has decreased a little, but not by much. The formation of the Werdlem Empire should expel everyone by the year 10312. That means you still have around 800 years available here in my Future Realm."

Foliana nodded. "Rean, I’m thinking about creating an information exchange hub here in the Future Realm."

"What do you mean?" Rean asked back.

"The Celestial Laws, of course!" Foliana explained. "We are getting close to the end, and many experts haven’t achieved their objectives. They know that the outside world isn’t anywhere near as good for cultivation as this place. Thanks to Xyrath, we have plenty of High-Level Divine Stones and even Divine Energy Veins."

"I think I could use it to exchange for information regarding places where we can find Celestial Laws. Not only me, but I believe many others would love to exchange this kind of information now that we are separated from the outside world. For Tanxan and me, this is a great opportunity."

"I see..." Rean nodded. "That’s an excellent idea. You could use the Werdlem Network and have a talk with other experts. However, it will all be up to you and Tanxan. I want to use these final years here to get closer to the Late Stage of the Divinity Realm."

Xyrath didn’t mind either. "I cultivate time. These Divine Stones and Veins mean nothing to me. And since I won’t be staying for much longer, it matters not if the resources of this place are spent."

"Great!" Foliana was happy that both of them liked her idea. "When we return to Qufis and Roan, Tanxan and I will start to put this plan into practice."

[If it involves the Werdlem Network, I’m sure I can help you plenty.]

Foliana was more than happy to accept that assistance. "Thank you, Sister Orb! You are great as always!"

[Hehe! No truer words have ever been spoken.]

---

The following eleven years passed in a flash, and Rean released the last Time Plates into the Future Realm. Now, there wasn’t a single Time Plate in the Dimensional Realm anymore. The plates outside were all synced, and Xyrath could feel the time inside each of them.

"It is done! From now on, I can put my body together anytime I want!"
