Chapter 3954: Higher Mountain
Chapter 3954: Higher Mountain
"Ximao," Roan took over, "The Balance Breakers, where do they come from? How are they even born?"
In their case, what probably made them Balance Breakers was their system, but it was unlikely that every Balance Breaker had a system too.
"If we knew, what use would be there for a Judgemental Eye?" Ximao shrugged. "As far as I’m aware, their appearance is a random occurrence."
"That’s not necessarily the case," Rean commented. "Perhaps you know why Balance Breakers appear, but you simply can’t prevent them from appearing, nor can you tell where they will appear."
"True," Ximao didn’t discard that possibility. "But if we do, at least no one told me. Well, not that it would make much of a difference for someone like me to know that. I’m just an observer of the Judgemental Eye of this area."
Kentucky remembered something. "Right! We checked the Werdlem Network earlier, and we couldn’t find more information about the Judgemental Eye. It is as if the only Judgemental Eye that exists is here in the Runia Continent and nowhere else."
"That is incorrect," Ximao continued. "There are plenty of Judgemental Eyes all over the Rank A and B Universes. It’s just that we are the Werdlem Empire. We control the Werdlem Network. Naturally, we exclude all information regarding the Judgemental Eyes so we won’t scare potential Balance Breakers. That’s all."
"You came from the Green Cluster, right?" Ximao then checked some information on his CD, the same CD that had a Golden Hue on it. "To be more precise, from the Panpasin Continent. The Panpasin Sect also had a different version of the Judgemental Eye of their own. Although it looks different and has a different name. In any case, it is the same thing with the same purpose. You will find many more over the years."
Roan narrowed his eyes. "Doesn’t that mean we will always be at risk of being identified as Balance Breakers every time we get close to one of those things? We will never be able to act freely."
"There is no need to worry about that." Fortunately, Ximao knew they would mention that possibility. "The Judgemental Eye only works for Void Tempering Realm experts and below. That’s why they are kept in places where large concentrations of young, new geniuses gather. From the Space-Bending Realm and above, detecting the Balance Breakers becomes a lot more difficult."
"For you, all this mess has actually turned into a pretty good thing," Ximao added another piece of information. "Since your IDs will state that you were once part of the Divine Military Exchange Program, anyone aware of the real use of the Judgemental Eyes will understand you were already checked. So, at the end of the day, you are just incredible geniuses that got a Level Five Golden Radiance potential measurement or anything equivalent to that title in other locations."
Roan was satisfied. "That’s good enough then."
Ximao was already feeling tired of speaking so much, though. "So, anything else? If not, I would like to continue working on this cultivation technique."
"Just one more thing," Kentucky raised his wing. "Caladara kept mentioning your desire to ’go up’ while she was here. What does she mean by that? Were you talking about the Werdlem Universe? The main one?"
Kentucky asked that because he remembered something. Back when Triaglia, who was the previous Universe F956 Owner, passed her position to Rifindio, Victor mentioned something to them. He said that as long as they managed to go to the same place as Triaglia was going, leaving the Werdlem Empire’s bubble would be a lot easier.
They had two clues to go out so far. The first one was the Charybdis Mother, who told them to go back to her once they reached the Celestial Realm cultivation. From what she said, they would be able to use the Celestial Laws to open a gap that would connect them to the Lisan Universe, their home. (Chapter 3082)
This might also be connected to the gap/channel Kentucky’s parents are trying to create for Soul Gem. (Chapters 3736-3737)
The other clue was Victor’s words about going to the same place as Triaglia, and Kentucky wondered if this ’go up’ had some connection to what Victor said.
Ximao shook his head in response. "No. By going up, I meant going to the Celestial Plane. I wanted her help, or maybe your backers’ help, to go there. The Werdlem Empire has a strong presence in that place, so I thought it was a good idea."
"Hum?" Roan noticed something. "A strong presence there? Are you saying that this Celestial Plane isn’t just a place from where you pull energy and laws, but an actual location that can be visited?"
So far, Roan has considered the Celestial Plane as a kind of concept, not a real, physical place where you could enter.
"Is that so surprising?" Ximao asked in response. "In small Universes, like the ones you had been before, it is pretty common for experts to ascend from the Mortal Realm to one of the three Higher Realms, right? Like the Divine Realm, the Underworld, or the Heavens. It is basically the same principle."
The twins’ group immediately understood what Victor Rampel meant when he told them to go to the same place as Triaglia. He was likely telling them about the Celestial Plane. If this Celestial Plane is something separated from the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble, then ascending to the Celestial Plane and leaving it through another location would indeed bring them outside the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble.
Of course, they know nothing about the Celestial Plane, so this theory might be completely wrong. For example, perhaps if you enter the Celestial Plane from the Werdlem Empire, you can only leave the Celestial Plane by returning to the Werdlem Empire’s bubble.
"What else do you know about this Celestial Plane?" Rean quickly asked.
"Sorry, but nothing much." Ximao felt a little sad. "Everyone wishes to go there, though. It’s either that, or be stuck in the Celestial Realm Cultivation Forever. But, to get there, you need to go beyond the Celestial Realm, or the so-called God Realm. I know my own talent, so I highly doubt I will ever get to that level. Thus, using this connection with the Judgemental Eye and the Werdlem Empire’s Main Universe could have been my key to going up. Now I have you, too, and hopefully, your backer. As I said, the Werdlem Empire has a strong presence in that place, but information is highly restricted. That’s all that I know."
"Sigh..." Rean couldn’t help but shake his head. "There is always a higher mountain, isn’t there?"
