Chapter 3950: Simple Trial and Error
Chapter 3950: Simple Trial and Error
Before, Ximao truly thought the twins were in the Space-Bending Realm Initial Stage, just like Wisfreya. They had been following her cultivation realm on purpose so they could stay with her while they took her soul pieces and blood.
Now, however, Caladara showed that the twins were actually in the Space-Time Middle Stage. On top of that, they displayed the strength of a Divinity Realm Peak Stage when they attacked her, and a pretty damn strong one at that. Simply put, any of them could beat Ximao.
He wanted the secret behind such strength. Anything that just cultivation alone wouldn’t be able to provide. If someone had it, that must be these four. Ximao firmly believed that the ’expert backing them up’ left many things that could help him on that front. "Strength. Truth be told, compared to other Divinity Realm Middle Stage experts, I’m quite strong. I can even put up a short-term fight against some of the more average Divinity Realm Peak Stage experts."
"You, on the other hand, can obviously keep fighting at that level as long as you have the energy reserves to back you up. That’s what I’m interested in. Naturally, I’ll tell you what you want to know in exchange," Ximao completed.
Rean began to discuss this with Roan, Celis, and Kentucky. Right now, there were a few things they could offer Ximao. The most obvious was the Blood Reformation. However, that was the System’s Ability, not theirs, and it cost Celestial Points to use.
The second one was a cultivation technique. Roan could work with Ximao to create a new cultivation technique that was wholly his, perfectly made to his constitution, abilities, and talent. With enough time, it would show not only gains in cultivation speed, but in Ximao’s own strength.
The third thing they could think of was the simplest, and yet, the most effective. Training! Hellish training! Drill into his head everything he might be doing wrong and help him gain extra strength by simply being able to use his own abilities better.
There were also others, like Roan’s pills, for example. He could make Laws Pills, which would allow Ximao to comprehend laws faster since Roan’s pills’ effects lasted forever. If you are better with your laws, you naturally would be stronger too. Or the pills capable of clearing and rebuilding the meridians, although in Ximao’s case, his meridians were likely already in good enough shape.
In the end, Roan decided to take the second option, as it was mostly based on pure knowledge and wouldn’t put them at risk of revealing any excessive information. "If that’s what you want, take your cultivation technique out. We need to rework it from scratch."
"My... cultivation technique?" Ximao was taken aback. He was expecting some treasure or maybe some pills, not a cultivation technique. This is still a Rank A Universe, so the techniques available here are highly advanced. As long as you had the right connections and strength, you could find the best ones for your own needs. Even if Roan could provide him with something better, it wouldn’t make much of a difference.
But then, he noticed something. "Wait! Did you just say make something from scratch?"
"Yes," Roan nodded. "I can help you make a technique that is only yours. Others might be able to use it, but no one will benefit more from it than you. This alone should help you remap the uses of your meridians and the way you circulate your Divine Origin Energy. Soul Power should benefit from it as well, which is directly linked to everything."
Ximao narrowed his eyes. "Do you have any idea what could happen if you create something flawed? We are talking about damage that can’t be fixed unless you start cultivation from zero."
"Stop wasting my time and show that to me already!" Roan had no reason to hide in front of Ximao anymore, so there was no need to be respectful either.
The twins’ group was never really worried about Caladara earlier, so why should they be worried about Ximao? Even if Caladara destroyed their bodies completely, they would have their bodies and souls reformed somewhere else. The System’s Range was now an entire Light Year, 9.46 trillion kilometers. They made sure to leave some drops of their blood somewhere safe, just near this range limit. That was many continents of distance, which was easily traversed with their own Spatial Gates.
Rean patted Ximao’s shoulder as if they were some good brothers. "Friend Ximao, trust him. You have a lot to gain from it. Just show your technique to him. If there is any problem, he will let you know."
Ximao’s mouth twitched. They were basically asking him to trust them, but would he really?
"Besides," Rean continued. "We are in your hands. If you decide to simply ignore Caladara’s warning and tell the Werdlem Empire about us, we are basically done for. All our hard work would have been for nothing. Sure, you would be done for, too. But at least you would get your revenge."
Ximao still didn’t like that idea even a bit. Nonetheless, there was no harm in just showing them the technique. Yes, showing your technique to others could help them get an advantage over you. However, the twins’ group was already much stronger than him, so what’s the point? They had no need for such a thing since they could beat Ximao head-on. "Fine, here it is."
Roan took the technique, and Rean pulled Ximao closer so the three of them could work together. The technique itself would likely take several weeks to build, not to mention the following months or even years of adjustment. Yet, if it were just an initial analysis, a few hours should be enough.
Celis and Kentucky didn’t have much to do there, so they entered the Celestial Soul Dimensional Realm during it.
The hours passed while the twins worked with Ximao. At first, Ximao was skeptical. But as the time passed, he felt more and more shocked by the issues and improvements Roan suggested for the new technique. Rean often checked Ximao’s body with his Light Element and passed the information to Roan through their connection, making the perfect combination.
Several hours later, Roan brought up a sample of what the new technique might look like. It couldn’t be used, had many flaws and things to be worked on, but it gave a general idea of what it could turn into. "This is where I will stop. Take a look, think as much as you need, and then give me an answer. If that is enough, we can proceed with our deal."
Ximao didn’t need to think, though. He watched the entire process and was now even more certain about why the ’highly influential expert backing the twins’ had chosen them. "There is no need. Still, I have to ask. Where did you obtain such a deep knowledge of cultivation techniques? Who could have taught you so much? I won’t lie here. Just this alone would make many continents go to war just to get you in their books."
"Taught me?" Roan looked at him with a cold expression. "It was a simple trial and error. What else is there? As long as you put your mind into it, anyone can create a cultivation technique."
Ximao felt like crying. Since when can anyone create a cultivation technique, especially something tailor-made for a single individual? Let’s not even talk about the level of this technique. ’Just what kind of world did he live in before coming to the Werdlem Empire? Is this normal outside the Empire’s Bubble?’ Those were Ximao’s thoughts.
"Ahem..." Ximao cleared his throat. "Is that so? Well, let’s not talk about it anymore. I accept this trade. Go ahead, ask your questions now."
