Death... and me

Chapter 3694: Hey, kid!

Chapter 3694: Hey, kid!

Rean and Zangeshu looked at the minerals that were nurtured by the dead worm with excited looks.

Rean quickly took out a micro rune from his system armor, too. "We were planning to upgrade the system armor with the advances you made during the Golden Palace. However, with this many minerals for us to work with, we’d better revise the blueprints."

Zangeshu agreed with him. "Indeed. Should we start now?"

"You two can do that later on," Roan stopped them, though. "Now, let’s talk about the next steps."𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

Roan walked to the center and looked at the five. "The main plan continues the same. We want to leave this Universe. We can go back to the Charybdis later, but there is another issue. Even if we leave the Werdlem Empire Bubble, we would probably appear in the middle of nowhere in the Great Void."

"So we would need to find where exactly our Lisan Universe is located, right?" Kentucky asked.

"Yes," Roan continued. "Outside, the Werdlem Empire is known for being a superpower that disappeared countless years ago. However, I don’t believe that is truly the case."

"What do you mean?"

Roan raised his hand. "You have heard about it from Victor, that kid from the Golden Palace. The Werdlem Empire has received outsiders before. Not only that, the Werdlem Empire seems very strict about capturing outsiders. I can only draw one conclusion from that. There are outside powers that know where the Werdlem Empire is located, even though sending scouts inside seems very difficulty. The Werdlem Empire probably knows about them as well."

Rean understood what Roan wanted to say. "If the Werdlem Empire knows about them, that means the Empire also must have information about the outside world. We could use the Empire to find out where we should go after leaving the Empire’s Bubble."

"Exactly," Roan thought the same. "I wouldn’t be surprised if the Werdlem Empire actually keeps some hub in between the inside and outside to keep some degree of contact with the outside world. And since this hub probably exists, there is bound to be some of those spaceships similar to the Garisan Universe’s ones."

"In that case, we would need to look for information regarding the Garisan Universe," Celis commented. "After all, our Lisan Universe was found just recently, so there is a good chance the Werdlem Empire doesn’t know about Lisan’s existence."

"Doesn’t it, though?" Zangeshu had his doubts. "You told me about those Werdlem Treasures back in your Universe, and each one of them seems incredible. They don’t look to be the kind of thing the Werdlem Empire would just let escape from their grasp. Why would they be there? Isn’t that proof that the Werdlem Empire actually has a connection with your Lisan Universe?"

Everyone fell into deep thought.

"Zangeshu’s words remind me of Soul Gem. Hex (The guy who brought the twins to the Werdlem Empire) called Soul Gem his fellow brother, like them being disciples of the same master." Kentucky pointed out. "This has to be the connection Zangeshu mentioned, right?"

"Possibly," Roan had to admit their words made sense. "But this is not something we can do anything about at the moment, so let’s go back to the main topic. We can’t just focus on leaving the Werdlem Empire’s Bubble; we need to find information on where to go once outside. For now, my idea is to focus our efforts on finding this hub to the outside. If it doesn’t exist, we can focus on finding only the information."

Rean pondered it, an idea popping into his mind. "If this hub exists, there is probably a spaceship we can use to travel the Great Void. But if it doesn’t... why can’t we simply make our own spaceship? The Werdlem Empire already uses such spaceships to travel between the Universes inside its Bubble. We could get the blueprints for them and build one. Or perhaps we can buy one. Worst case, we can steal one."

"Those Spaceships are gigantic and use huge crews for such long journeys," Roan commented. "Even if we can find a smaller model, we would at least need someone with experience to guide us through the Great Void."

"Experience...?" Kentucky knew exactly who. "What about Tanxan?"

Tanxan, the slime the twins met back in Lisan. Later on, they found Taxan in this Universe and helped set him free. At the moment, Tanxan is most likely still back in the Divine Snow World.

"That will do," Rean liked the idea. "I still have his number. Let’s see if it connects. If not, then he is probably inside the Divine Snow World still."

Surprisingly, it did connect.

-Well, well, well... it definitely has been a while.- Tanxan’s voice came from the other side.

"Yo!" Roan and the others connected to the same call. "So, Tanxan, how has your research been going? Found a way out?"

When the twins’ group separated from Tanxan, both sides had the same objective. Find a way out of the Divine Snow World, and then out of the Universe and the Werdlem Empire. Tanxan still wanted to go back to his Lingan Universe, while the twins’ group wanted to go back to Lisan.

-Easier said than done, but we are out of the Divine Snow World now. Since you managed to contact us, you also found your way out of there, right?-

"That is correct. In fact, we have been out for a while. Sorry for not contacting you earlier. We secluded ourselves for cultivation for the past 900 years."

-Not much different on my side. I also stopped to cultivate now and then, that’s normal. I managed to reach the Elemental Space Realm Middle Stage. Roan, thanks for the help with my cultivation technique. It has improved my efforts a lot.-

-Hey, is that Rean and the guys? Let me talk to them!-

-Use your own CD for fuck’s sake! I’ll add you to the call.-

-Oh, right!-

Soon, another person appeared on everyone’s CDs. It was Foliana, the history-loving girl and also the one with the Red Lightning Hawk bloodline.

Rean was happy to see the youngster. "Hey, kid! So you are still alive, uh?"
