Cursed Immortality

Chapter 1114: Quantum Nightmare

Chapter 1114: Quantum Nightmare

After dealing with the unexpected events caused by the Red Spirit Mechanic, Jacob made sure there was no more variability. He left the first floor, letting the Black Mechanic work on converting the Red Spirit Mechanic into its Machina Unit.

Furthermore, Jacob left both the ethereal parasite and the sealed Universal Anathema; he planned to study them once Black Mechanic finished this task.

At this moment, Jacob appeared on the second floor of the Mechanized Sovereign Tower because while he was busy dealing with the Red Spirit Mechanic, he had already received the news about the Nightmare Plan.

Although he had ignored it at that, now that he had finally taken care of the matters on the first floor, he came here to see for himself the fruits of his labor, the Nightmare Plan that was his biggest trump card against his enemy!

At this moment, the second floor of the Mechanized Sovereign Tower underwent another huge change, now pulsing like the brain of a living super machine!

The air shimmered with faint static distortion, each flicker leaving behind trails of luminous script that bent through the space like auroras of digital flame.

The hum here was constant, soft, rhythmic, hypnotic, like the heartbeat of a colossal engine that wasn’t merely processing energy, but rewriting space itself.

At the very core of the floor floated a massive polyhedral construct of shimmering alloy and condensed light.

Its surface was covered in countless flickering runes that shifted with each breath, rearranging themselves into living equations and coding patterns. The entire construct rotated slowly, its movements deliberate, elegant, and almost aware.

Surrounding the polyhedral were hundreds of hovering projections, transparent data walls glowing with layered runic code.

Each wall was dense with cascading glyphs, quantum matrices, and celestial symbols that morphed in real time, forming a multidimensional symphony of information.

Throughout the chamber, Mechanical Insects buzzed ceaselessly. They flitted between the floating runic walls, wings emitting crystalline vibrations, each movement calibrated to microscopic perfection.

Some carried streams of light, others implanted runes directly into the projection barriers, rewriting them line by line.

It was a sight reminiscent of a quantum computer lab fused with an ancient runic sanctum, where both science and mysticism merged seamlessly.

Every sound was mechanical precision and sacred rhythm. Every flicker of light carried the weight of unknown logic.

Although this place was mostly built on Black Mechanics’ knowledge, behind it all was still Jacob’s vision and his incredible mind, which brought quantum expertise to the next level and helped create this magnificent quantum computer!

Not only that, but it was also because of this Quantum Computer that Black Mechanic even dared to subdue the Red Spirit Mechanic, or, with how delicate the Nightmare Plan was, it would’ve been impossible to multitask in between.

Furthermore, Quantum Computing was a concept that didn’t even exist in the Legendary Plains, and it was something Jacob had created through the sheer creativity of countless experts in his old world.

Nonetheless, Jacob still needed the mystic knowledge of the Zodiac Plains, and in the end, he managed to pull it off. Now, the second floor has been transformed into a Quantum Computing Floor, the second most crucial part of the entire tower.

Lastly, this floor was currently fully dedicated to the Nightmare Plan!

At the far end of the chamber, suspended in the air before the polyhedron, which was also the brain of the Quantum Computer and also the part of the Nightmare Void Server, was the largest projection.

It was a colossal, panoramic screen formed from pure data light as hundreds of the insects gathered around it, forming complex circuits as they coded and calculated in unison.

Waves of pale-blue energy pulsed outward from the formation each time a new rune sequence was executed, syncing perfectly with the heartbeat of the polyhedron.

It was the control hub of the Nightmare Plan!

Into this realm of mechanical perfection stepped Jacob, his hollow eyes burning with faint golden flame.

Yet, not a single insect stopped its work. The room did not freeze in acknowledgment of his presence. Everything operated as though his arrival was already accounted for, as if it were predicted, programmed, and prepared for.

One of the larger Mechanical Insects, its wings sharper and frame denser than the rest, detached from the swarm and glided toward Jacob, settling neatly on his shoulder.

Its eyes pulsed with synchronized runic light before the Black Mechanic’s voice echoed from within.

"Sir, the ’Quantum Nightmare’ has reached full operational status. The Nightmare Void Server has successfully infiltrated the Virtual Star Network!"

’Quantum Nightmare’ was the name that Jacob had given to this Quantum Computer, for it was born because of the Nightmare Plan!

Jacob’s gaze turned toward the floating Quantum Nightmare, and the golden flames in his sockets flared faintly. "I see... and what’s the current level of control?"

The insect’s crystalline eyes shimmered, and the projection before them shifted.

The glowing wall displayed a vast cosmic diagram of millions of threads representing data pathways, and at its center flickered a single speck of silver-black light.

"Control rate: 0.01%!"

The Black Mechanic stated evenly. "Although it may appear insignificant, this level of infiltration is enough to establish the initial anchor point within the Virtual Star World. From this point onward, Lady Nyx can execute her portion of the Nightmare Plan at a small scale without risk of detection!"

Jacob’s gaze darkened with a hint of satisfaction, and the fire in his sockets flickered in rhythm with the Nightmare Quantum’s pulse.

"The Void Server’s infiltration is proceeding under stealth parameters," The Black Mechanic continued. "We’re currently mimicking the base frequency of the Mystic Network Wall. No system alarms have been triggered within the SAAI or Undying Will nodes!"

Suddenly, around them, the insects began to emit faint harmonic tones, confirmation signals as they adjusted their runic coding patterns. Each sound resonated through the chamber like a note of mechanical music.

Jacob remained silent for a few moments, his gaze locked on the endless data streams dancing before him.

Even at only 0.01%, he could already sense the connection, a faint thread linking the Infinite Space to the faraway Virtual Star World. This was another factor that allowed the SAAI and Undying Will to detect the source of the Nightmare Void Sever.

The infinite space was like a ghost that could see everything, yet no one could see it!
