Jacob’s unexpected question made those eight even more shocked than his presence in this place. Furthermore, with Jacob’s unknown strength, they were apprehensive.

The other seven glanced at the first one, who had just spoken, silently, and the latter knew they were leaving to deal with Jacob.

Furthermore, this was the territory of the Cardinal Spirit Temple, one of the big three of the Neutral Faction. If the Champion King’s men, who were all at the peak of Legendary Lord Rank and four among them were even at the Legendary King Rank, suddenly found themselves here, the Temple won’t sit still and might even take this action as a disrespectful act against them.

With the Great War underway, even a minor misunderstanding can have enormous consequences that can alter the course of the war.

Lastly, everyone knew about the map the Champion King had won the auction and if this fact was revealed that the map lead to the Ashen Mirage Desert, the entire Neutral Faction will get involved not to mention the Temple would everything in its power to claim the Yang Flame or obstruct the Champion King since this was essentially their home ground.

This might also be the reason the Champion King had waited for so long before investigating the map he won decades ago. Now that the Great War was going on and everyone’s attention was shifted, he could easily send his man secretly here and get the Yang Flame without raising any suspicion.

However, the Champion King shouldn’t have expected that Jacob would be here at the same time and bump into his men.

"Stop denying it. You are the Corrosion King, one of the Overlords of the Evanesce Hub." Jacob impassively exposed the Corrosion King’s identity as if it were nothing.

The Corrosion King trembled with fright as he wasn’t expecting Jacob to see through him so easily. The other seven were also horrified as they looked at the mysterious man with even more fear.

But Jacob wasn’t done as he looked at another one and said, "And should be the Nightingale King, the blood aura on you makes it pretty obvious."

The Nightingale King’s heart trembled as he instinctively took a step back. He didn’t even speak all this, but somehow this person easily sees past his identity. But he didn’t know that Jacob had only made a guess because of Jacob’s unique sense towards the ’Blood’, and only Vampires have this unique blood aura on them.

Jacob had already met with the Nightingale King and the Corrosion King when he tricked the Champion King into trading the Light Law Essence. In the Corrosion King case, he also has a unique aura about him that can’t be hidden away from Jacob’s eyes. So, he easily deduced their identities.

As for the third Legendary King, the woman with unique eye ability, Jacob hadn’t seen her when he visited the Evanesce Hub last time, but her identity as another Overlord of the Evanesce Hub was pretty much apparent.

The last Legendary King was very evasive, but Jacob also guessed his identity because of the Dark Law.

’He should be that Dark Elf called the Dark Wing. After all, the Champion King won’t completely trust these overlords with the Yang Flame, so he obviously sent his right-hand man to keep an eye on them. However, his personal absence raised questions. What was he thinking?’ Jacob thought as he eyed those Star Pirates.

At this moment, Dark Wing decided to take charge. Since their identities had been exposed, they might offend Jacob if they continued to deny it. Furthermore, just as Jacob suspected, Dark Wing was in charge of this mission and strongest among them. He was letting the Corrosion King play the leader for convenience, and he was too lazy to order them around.

However, now wasn’t the time to be lazy since this mysterious person was aware of their identities, just this fact was enough to make them treat him with utmost attention. Not to mention, he had appeared in this place of all the places.

Dark Wing thought about another possibility, and his heart turned cold.

Pretending to be calm, he spoke in a respectful yet probing tone, "Since Your Excellency knows who we are, could it be that Your Excellency has been to the Evanesce Hub? Are you perhaps acquainted with my lord Champion King?"

"You are indeed, Dark Wing." Jacob casually said, but Dark Wing felt waves rising in his heart because knowing the Overlords and knowing him were completely different, as he rarely showed his face publicly.

Only the Overlords, the Champion King crew, and the chosen few were aware of his identity, and this man in a windbreaker and head covered in a hood also knew. This could only mean that he was either one of Champion King’s absolute enemies or friends. The possibility that the latter was very low because Dark Wing knew almost all Champion King’s friends and even met them at least once.

Yet, Jacob’s silhouette didn’t ring a bell, nor did he seem like anyone famous. But this exactly made him even more apprehensive of the former.

"No need to waste your energy. You don’t know me." Jacob suddenly said before he sent a soul transmission directly to Dark Wing’s head as if he didn’t want others to hear this particular part, "Tell me, why didn’t the Champion King come here personally to search for the Yang Flame?"

Dark Wing’s eyes widened fully with horror as his heart palpitated, ’Shit! Just as I suspected, he’s really here for the Yang Flame as well and knew exactly when we’ll start searching for it. He might’ve followed us here. But who leaked this news!? The Champion King had every person sign a soul oath contract, and that Rat didn’t seem to know him either. But then how did he know!?’

Jacob was slightly amused, sensing Dark Wing’s chaotic energy, and he could easily guess what he was thinking. Nonetheless, Jacob has no intention of killing them yet.

Dark Wing suppressed the terror in his heart and also replied with a soul transmission, his voice contained a hint of trepidation, "Your excellency, if you want to contact the Champion King, I can arrange it. What do you think?"

Dark Wing’s question has two purposes.

First, if Jacob was after the map, he wouldn’t allow them to contact the Champion King, because this would mean he had only shown himself after ensuring the Champion King wasn’t following them.

Second, if Jacob allows them to contact the Champion King, then things would become even more complicated. Nonetheless, in the second case, the Champion King would know about Jacob’s involvement, and with how important the Yang Flame was for the Champion King, he won’t allow anyone else to take it, and he’ll rush here without caring about raising other attention.

Jacob’s eyes flickered profoundly as he impassively nodded, "Go ahead, contact him if you want. But I’m going ahead."

Thereafter, under the dumbfounded look in everyone’s eyes, Jacob’s figure vanished like a ghost. Dark Wing was even more shocked because not only did Jacob not attack them, but he also didn’t seem to be interested in the map.

Furthermore, by announcing his knowledge about the Yang Flame, he had exposed his purpose, and Dark Wing will definitely contact the Champion King without hesitation.

Dark Wing’s mind was in a mess, and he was full of indignation as he thought, ’Why!? Just what is this guy after!? Should I inform the Champion King or not!?’

But right at this moment, Dark Wing was appalled when he finally noticed something, and he roared frantically, "Where the hell is that Rat!?"
