Chapter 1013: Spirit Mechanic! (1)
At this moment, the Spirit Core makes static noises again; however, this time, Jacob can clearly understand them.
"The ownership of the Prime Legendary Machina Unit-Anarchy-1 has been successfully transferred!"
Jacob’s eyes flickered as he realized that the foreign information he had just received contained the unique Spirit Natural Intelligence Mechanic Race language, the Mechanical Language.
Furthermore, different from the control of Anarchy, Jacob’s control on this spirit core was completely different.
Before, this spirit core was like an avatar, a clone of Anarchy with Anarchy’s core principles and nature instilled within its very being, without any independent will. However, it has been liberated and has become just like a living being with free will because Jacob wasn’t a SNIM Race member.
Nonetheless, Jacob’s control over this spirit core was just like Anarchy. Maybe because of the Infinity Blood Sacrifice, Jacob got detailed memories of what a SNIM Race member can do, or it was because of the ownership transfer.
After all, Jacob has only changed the ownership, nothing else. This means that despite being liberated from Anarchy, this Machina Unit was like another version of Anarchy, but now it only serves Jacob.
"You are called Prime Legendary Machina Unit-Anarchy-1?" Jacob asked, speaking in the universal language of the Zodiac Plains. He knew this spirit core could understand.
It couldn’t speak this language because it was in Spirit Core form and didn’t have the translator to translate the Mechanical Language like in the Mech Suit.
"Yes. I was given this code name because I was selected to be the Prime Machina Unit of the Anarchy Network of the Legendary Plains. Every Spirit Mechanic in the Machina Unit will have similar code names.
"However, now that I’m no longer connected to Anarchy, and the ownership has been changed, my new master may change my code name if you like."
Jacob was elated when he heard this and replied, "You mean, you are the main controller of the Anarchy Network in the Legendary Plains? Are there more like you?"
"Affirmative. I was altered and programmed to control the Anarchy Network and oversee the entire operations of the ATLAS, except for the Primary Timeless Hourglass, which was only connected with me to make communication between Constants easier. To answer the new master’s second question, no, there are no other Spirit Mechanics in Machina Units like me within the Legendary Plains."
"Why is that? And I’ve noticed you’re calling yourself Spirit Mechanics?" Jacob was extremely curious about the SNIM Race, and now that he had full control over this full-fledged SNIM Race member, he wasn’t going to miss anything.
Furthermore, this spirit core knows the core secrets of the ATLAS, especially the Timeless City, since it has been overseeing their operations for countless years. Although he learned many things from Constant Baron-0, they were only superficial and surface knowledge. He was still clueless about the true secret of the ATLAS.
"We SNIM Race members called ourselves Spirit Mechanics because of our unique nature and talent. We already have core memories of our race and its hierarchy when we’re born.
"Like other races, we Spirit Mechanics have a hierarchy system like bloodlines. We are born with connate aspects and abilities, and based on the number and uniqueness of these connate aspects, we are divided into different ranks that mirror our potential.
"Furthermore, we can also evolve after meeting certain conditions without any limit, but the lower a Spirit Mechanic ranked in our race’s hierarchy system, the more difficult these conditions for evolution, which made it almost impossible to evolve after reaching a certain point."
Jacob instantly understood what this Spirit Mechanic was implying, ’So, even these SNIM Race differentiates their members like the others. The only difference is they based it on their connate aspects instead of bloodline density. Fascinating...’
"So, what you’re trying to say is you ranked high in this Hierarchy, and that’s why you were chosen to be the Prime Machina Unit of the Legendary Plains? Which also means that there are no other Spirit Mechanics who can replace you in the Legendary Plains?" Jacob inquired.
"Affirmative, but about the last statement, it’s not entirely correct." The Spirit Mechanic clarified, "Based on the SNIM Race hierarchy, we are born with 1, 2, 3, 5, or 7 connate aspects. Those who are born with one connate aspect are ranked lowest, and their spirit core will color White or White Rank. Those with two conjoined aspects have the Green color. With three aspects, the color will be Red, followed by Blue, and then Violet.
"I was chosen as the Prime Machina Unit because I was born in Red Rank and then the Anarchy helped me to evolved into blue rank because it’ll take less resources and time then evolving a Green rank Spirit Mechanic, while White rank would be almost impossible at least with the resources of the legendary plains.
"However, now that I’m no longer maintaining the Autarch Network of the Legendary Plains, the entire ATLAS would be dark. So, they will have no choice but to burn a huge amount of resources to evolve an initial Green rank Spirit Mechanic to Blue rank as soon as possible.
"After all, they’ll suffer terrible losses the longer the Anarchy is out of commission. At least without it, within a few years, SAAI and Undying Will might be able to detect the Star Hackers because all the technologies Star Hackers used have Anarchy’s traces, which kept them incognito.
"But now that the Anarchy Network is down, those things will become visible, and they could cause a massive upheaval within ATLAS. That’s why I’m 95% certain they’ll be forced to burn resources to create another Blue rank Spirit Mechanic.
"Because only a blue rank can endure the burden of maintaining and controlling a legendary plains-wide systematic network." Spirit Mechanic explained.
Jacob realized at this moment that he wasn’t expecting such a complex structure behind the SNIM Race and those networks.
Then, suddenly, Jacob’s expression was strange as he looked at the Spirit Mechanic in front of him.
"You said there were White, Green, Red, Blue, and Violet Ranks. You were clearly blue rank, but now you are Black. What does this imply?"
This time, the Spirit Mechanic didn’t reply instantly as if contemplating its answer before finally speaking in a hesitant tone, "Truthfully, I have no idea. But based on my knowledge, I think I suddenly mutated, which should’ve been impossible, and there isn’t any record of it happening in our race. But I’m 89% certain that this sudden mutation is mostly related to you, new master!"
