Cultivating Disciples to Breakthrough

Chapter 1873 A Small Incident

Chapter 1873  A Small Incident

Having returned to expanding his spiritual sea after having successfully managed to break through to the Saint Realm with the Dao of Formations after it reached the Perfection Realm, Xuan Hao didn't pay much attention to the situation outside his cultivation. Only getting a brief idea of what had happened after he had rushed back to comprehend the Dao of Formations after having confirmed that his little disciple's formation wouldn't end up destroying the qi spring.

The little information he did managed to hear about the chaos and destruction that had been caused by the sudden surge in spiritual water production from the newly promoted qi spring wasn't exactly something he cared too much about, as although the spiritual water rushing through the sect out of the blue had caused quite a bit of damage, it had also given Elder Song a perfect opportunity to restructure the sect.

Something the old man had been more than happy to take advantage of from what he had seen…

Outside of that, there was also the fact that the large quantity of spiritual water sweeping away a large number of younger disciples hadn't caused any real damage to these disciples and had instead ended up benefiting them. Forcing those caught off guard by the spiritual water flood to accidentally swallow large quantities of spiritual water that in turn ended up helping their cultivation improve, while those who hadn't been swept away wasted no time jumping into the water without the slightest bit of hesitation.

Even the youngest disciples, only at the Qi Condensation Realm and generally below the age of 14, ended up joining in. Knowing that this might be the greatest chance they would encounter in their younger years in the sect, as there wouldn't ever be a seemingly endless quantity of spiritual water available for them to freely absorb and drink without anyone stepping forward to stop them.

A situation that would indeed end up true, as the highest quality of spiritual water would be concentrated back at the qi spring lake, while the lower quality spiritual water that had lowered in quality a bit ended up being what ended up going down the mountain and into the lakes and rivers that now surrounded the Seventh Star Peak to deal with this increase in spiritual water.

Of course, even if the quality of the spiritual water ended up dropping a bit due to part of the spiritual qi from it being absorbed before it could cascade over the edge of the mountain, it was still of a far higher quality that had left the Seventh Star Peak before. More than enough to keep these disciples who were mostly in the Core Formation Realm happy, as the sheer quantity of spiritual water now present was more than enough to ensure that everyone could now get some without having to spend any contribution points. A clear benefit that had been added for all disciples to enjoy.

The only person who ended up being negatively affected outside of those who ended up losing their homes, being none other than Zu Fei, who found close to half of the water lotuses she had been carefully nurturing and growing, being destroyed in the chaos that had been caused by the emergence of the high grade qi spring lake. Only having managed to defend the remaining half because she got there in time before they suffered a similar fate.

But it wasn't entirely negative for her, as she had somehow managed to break through during the entire upheaval while defending her little lotus farm, something that was rather baffling to the elders who had been keeping an eye on the state of her lotus farm and happened to catch the sight of her breaking through amidst violent waves as she did her best to divert the violent waters away from her water lotuses.

Breakthrough aside, as her attention had been entirely focused on defending against the violet waters, she didn't notice that along with the spiritual water sweeping away a large section of her water lotus farm, a certain blue deer who had been lurking nearby jumped forth and followed the violent waves alongside the section of the farm that ended up being carried off-

Chomp~ Chomp~ Chomp~

Showing not the slightest care in the world while eagerly chomping down on the water lotuses that Zu Fei had already considered lost and didn't have the time to care about for now.

It was only after things calmed down and Zu Fei decided to check out how the part of her farm that had been ripped off and carried away by the violent spiritual waters had done and if anything could be recovered, that she realized her water lotuses, that should have remained intact given the few formations that helped guard to some extent during the turmoil, had been eaten.

Not just that, but the perpetrator behind this had clearly eaten far too much and couldn't even finish all the water lotuses, something that was apparent from the few intact water lotuses left with a few clear bite marks on top… And the bite marks left on those water lotuses were clearly not human. Making it rather simple for her to guess to culprit behind this little attack.

"That little deer… To think it ended up almost eating everything…!" Muttering this to herself as she gazed over the devastation that had been left behind and the surrounding terrain that had been affected by the spiritual water flood. It is already starting to show signs of rapid growth in the flora and plants nearby. Zu Fei found herself wanting nothing more than to find this bold little blue deer and teach it a lesson about stealing from her.

Unfortunately, over the past few weeks, the little blue deer seemed to have disappeared from the sect. Not appearing before her to beg for water lotuses like it had done in the past. Instead, it seemed to be working towards something that could potentially be a breakthrough from the Nascent Soul Realm to the Domain Lord Realm.

No matter what it was, Zu Fei silently promised herself that she was going to find this little demon beast when it got out of seclusion. Intend on using her full strength to teach this little demon beast a lesson and ensure it didn't end up attempting to pull something similar in the future.

Of course, there was also a chance that it had been done by some of the other powerful demon beasts inside the sect.

However, given that she already knew one of those demon beasts, the rabbit demon beast, wasn't currently in the sect, while the other had been lazing around like always on top of one of the sect's mountains while either eating something from the beast tamers eager to serve it anything it wanted even if they had to foot the bill themselves or at the sect's borders ensuring the stable balance of the battlefield with the demonic cultivator, Zu Fei felt certain that the only culprit could be the blue deer.

But… For now, she really didn't have time to chase down that elusive little demon beast and instead had to first recover what she had ended up losing.

Rustle~

For this reason, even if most of the section of the water lotus farm that had broken off was damaged, she still decided to recover what she could before making her way back towards qi spring lake that had once again returned to its former calm during the few hours she had spent carefully searching-

Chomp~!

"Huh…?"

However, the first sight that met her when she got back was not the peaceful water lotuses she had imagined, but instead the sight of a certain blue deer eagerly chomping down on a single water lotus close to the edge of the qi spring lake.

"You… You… YOU DARE!?" Yelling out loud in anger at the sight of the blue deer happily nibbling away at one of her water lotuses with a clearly bloated stomach from all the water lotuses it had eaten earlier, Zu Fei felt a profound sense of anger coursing through her body as she rushed forward filled with killing intent-

Swoosh~!

Catching the blue deer completely off guard, as it barely managed to move a bit before being caught by the angry Zu Fei. Not having the ability to rely on its nimble movements, the escape like it might have been able to do in the past due to its current bloated stomach making such precise movements impossible.

In the end, unable to escape and now in hands of an angered Zu Fei, the fate of the blue deer was sealed. No way out as Zu Fei made sure to punish this little deer and ensure it wouldn't end up aiming for her water lotuses again in the future.

The few months it had been out of sight and rarely ever appeared, clearly having erased the past restraints that had been carefully cultivated by her. Leaving her almost back at the beginning again when it came to teaching this little blue deer not to eat her water lotuses.

For the first time since meeting this little blue deer, Zu Fei genuinely hoped that it would be able to improve its strength soon.

After all, the stronger a demon beast became, the smarter it would be and the easier it would be for her to make sure this little demon beast understood her properly when she told it not to eat her water lotuses.

But then again… This might also end up backfiring…
