Chapter 1839: Joining a Major Power...?
Chapter 1839: Joining a Major Power...?
Finding themselves completely occupied dealing with the Land Creation Realm demon beast, none of the ancestor figures had the time or energy to spare looking for the wandering cultivator that they had learnt joined the struggle that had played out inside the ancient alchemy sect ruins before this Land Creation Realm demon beast had emerged. In turn, this had not only allowed Xuan Hao to leave the place unstarched without being discovered, but any traces he had left behind that might have allowed these senior figures to potentially link him together with the chaos he had caused through the Eastern Central Region not too long ago had also been erased by the battle between them and the Land Creation Realm demon beast.
In the end, Xuan Hao successfully managed to bring his disciple and his friends away from the ancient alchemy sect ruins without facing off against any of the senior figures from the different major powers of the Eastern Central Region, a blessing in disguise, as it would have been troubling for him to deal with so many powerful figures at the same time. Especially considering it was almost certain that one of them would have an artifact on hand capable of sealing space. Making it more difficult for him to use the Dao of Space to simply run away.
Of course, this didn’t mean that he was entirely done with the ancient alchemy sect ruins, as he still had to hand over one portion of Stardusk Essence to Huo Fen and his disciple so they could find a solution to whatever problem they had that required the Stardusk Essence.
With his current large supply of Stardusk Essence on hand, this would hardly make much of a difference to him, as amount left inside the treasury would be more than enough for him to reach the Peak of the Sea Formation Realm in the future. The only thing he had to worry about was whether his foundation was strong enough to endure such a rapid improvement in strength.
Speaking of returning to the ancient alchemy sect ruins to meet up with Huo Fen and Meng Jie, who should be eagerly waiting for him, he decided to first drop of Chu Yang and his friends at the border of the Northern Central Region. Not intending to bring him and his friends back into the ancient alchemy sect ruins, as doing so might turn out dangerous considering he had already managed to run into a Land Creation Realm demon beast and couldn’t say for certain that he would be able to keep him safe in case he ended up running into a Land Creation Realm demon beast he was unable to simply escape from.
"Master? You are not coming back to the sect...?"
In turn, this earned him a rather confused response from his little disciple, who had clearly been expecting him to return to the sect along with him.
"No, I still have something to do inside that place and bringing you and your little friends along is a bit too dangerous for that. For now, you should return to sect on your own, it shouldn’t be that difficult from here and... For your little friends, you can ask Elder Song for help if you plan to have them join the sect."
"Huh?" Showing a somewhat confused expression, a look of understanding soon dawned as he nodded his head eagerly. Understanding his intention of recruiting the group of wandering formation master to join the sect had already been seen through. "Yes, master!"
"""..."""
As for the group of formation master... None of them dared to say anything in the face of Chu Yang’s master.
Not to mention, none of them felt it would be bad to join a power with such a powerful figure in it. After all, even though they weren’t clear about Chu Yang’s master’s strength, they could at least tell he was far stronger than a normal Celestial Immortal Realm cultivator with how he had been able to easily use a group of Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators as training dummies to teach his disciple.
If not for the fact that they had witnessed that scene themselves and seen how he had reduced and limited his own strength to clash with those Celestial Immortal Realm cultivators, they would have never believed that there was someone capable of so easily sealing off their own cultivation realm and making themselves appear no different from someone of a far lower realm. Especially so when this person had indeed not tapped into anything beyond that realm outside of an especially high comprehension of different Daos, something that was at least required to close the massive gap between the Dao Seed Realm and the Celestial Immortal Realm.
Even if it was a bit unrealistic for someone in the Dao Seed Realm to possess such a terrifying comprehension realm, it was theoretically possible.
All of this in mind, the group of wandering cultivators who had found themselves struggling most of their lives on the path of self-exploration in the Dao of Formations found themselves looking forward to joining a major power like the one that stood behind their relatively new friend.
The main reason didn’t have much to do with them getting a powerful backing, but more so because they realized that a major power capable of housing a figure like Chu Yang’s master would undoubtedly have access to a Saint Grade Inheritance for the Dao of Formations!
To formation master like them, this was undeniably something they yearned to get their hands on but always found out of reach.
Joining a major power under normal circumstances might give them a chance at gaining access to a Saint Grade Inheritance, but it wasn’t certain, and they would have to first slave away for an untold number of years before even catching a glimpse of it.
But... With them joining in this kind of situation, being the friends of a disciple of such a powerful senior, they all felt that their chances of getting their hands on Saint Realm Inheritance was far greater than if they joined another major power.
Not to mention, though they still had no clue about how strong the major power behind Chu Yang was, they could to some extent tell that it was far stronger than the average major power.
With all of that in mind, the group of formation master all began obediently following behind Chu Yang as he began making his way back towards the Star Shattering Sect. Earning a rather curious side-glance at the sudden change in behavior.
Although, it wasn’t difficult for Chu Yang to figure out what was going through the minds of these wandering cultivators, as he understood that this wasn’t just an opportunity for him to earn a few extra contribution points from Elder Song by recruiting some much needed Formation Masters for the sect, but also an opportunity for these new friends of his to gain a solid backing and place where they could aim for advancing further on the path as a formation master.
As for whether the sect had resources to assist these formation masters? He didn’t really think about it, as he believed that his master would have already taken care of it.
If not, he doubted his master would have allowed this group of formation masters to join the sect in the first place.
And... He was correct in this belief, as his master had indeed already accounted for what these formation master would want to get their hands on after joining the Star Shattering Sect, A Saint Grade inheritance, something that he just so happened to just have gotten his hands on not too long ago. Securing the path for reaching the Saint Realm in the Dao of Formations for the Star Shattering Sect.
With this, the three main profession halls of the Star Shattering Sect would soon be able to give birth to Saint Realm cultivators, the Blacksmithing Hall already having a Saint Realm Blacksmith in the form of Gong Cheng and the Alchemy Hall having Pei Yang who was already at the Pinnacle of the Grandmaster Realm and only a single step away from reaching the Saint Realm.
The Formation Hall might be a bit behind the other two, but with a Saint Grade Inheritance in hand, it wouldn’t take too long for the Formation Hall to give birth to a Saint Grade Formation Master.
Who knew, it might take less time than Pei Yang breaking through to become a Saint Realm Alchemist. After all, he didn’t exactly have an inheritance anywhere near the one that Xuan Hao had just managed to get his hands on for the Dao of Formations.
In a way, it was a bit unfair to Pei Yang, but there was nothing much Xuan Hao could do about the situation. After all, it was the system that decided to reward him with a Formation Master Inheritance instead of an Alchemist Inheritance. Nothing he could do outside of hoping he would be able to find a Saint Grade Inheritance for Pei Yang inside the ancient alchemy sect ruin, something that shouldn’t be that difficult considering it was the ruins of an ancient alchemy sect.
