Volume 10. Chapter 146: Stumping Us… Again. (Chapter 1047)
Chapter 146: Stumping Us... Again.
In awe, we looked on at Celia, who seemed to have no desire to explain her actions at all. Damn… damn! She’s gotten too cheeky in her old age. Or… is it because Celia is still… young?
Would she eventually age out of these habits? I honestly doubt it! Her cheekiness is such a fundamental aspect of herself… that Runeth was given the same trait. It’s hereditary, this smug and cheekiness!!! Ah, my head still hurts; and all the while, Celia looks to be having the time of her life right now.
Runeth: “Do you enjoy messing with us… No, don’t answer that, please. Celia, how exactly do you know that this woman will be my main wife?” She asked with a groan.
Vulely: “Yes, Celia; I am deeply curious about that as well. Surely, you didn’t just pick a random thread to go for… right?” I added with an uncertain tone.
Celia: “Hm? Could it be that… neither of you trust in my matchmaking skills?! Even with my astounding, 100% accurate track record?” She replied with a shocked expression, and tone that of pure disbelief.
Runeth and Vulely: “…”
While staying silent is still a reaction, it was better than giving more than that to Celia. She was clearly in the mood for being a brat; so ignoring her antics… was the best choice for Runeth and me.
Of course, if we asked her to stop messing around, my wife would go back to being serious. It’s just that, for one, this situation wasn’t that urgent; and, honestly, we were also having fun as well. Though, the limit of cheek has been reached, so hopefully… Celia realizes that soon.
Guanyu: “Celia, you’ve let them stew in their curiosity and confusion for long enough. Too long, in fact.” She said with a gentle, wifey, but scolding tone, voice appearing from nowhere.
Celia: “Ah, you’re right. Sorry, you two.” She expressed with a remorseful tone.
Vulely and Runeth: “( o_o)”
Ha, I was right! The Cultivator was inside Celia this entire time, as I expected. Which means… my daughter and I festered in this situation for no reason; as Guanyu wouldn’t let Celia do anything too absurd. Our suffering… and even us coming here was pointless. Runeth… we both derailed the story, making my narration job go on for longer. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!
Celia: “I’m not going for this specific woman on a whim; as I absolutely am certain of her being your main wife, Runeth.” She explained with a lightly serious tone.
Runeth: “But… how? There were so many threads connected to my Soul… it was like a magical light show!” She exclaimed in reply, more curious than upset.
Vulely: “Celia was the only one capable of even counting how many were present. Though, I swear that they all… looked the exact same.” I add with a thinking pose.
Celia: “Really? Hm… I was only keeping up the joke, as I assumed that you two simply forgot about how each thread is unique. I’d had stopped far sooner if I knew that you and Runeth were actually in the dark.” She mused with a conflicted expression.
Runeth: “…Unique?” She repeated with a head tilt.
Vulely: “…” “She’s not about to tell us that the threads weren’t all the same color and thickness; but only Celia can see that, right? That is dangerous information!!!” I inwardly screamed, dreading the worst.
Celia: “Well, yes; all 1,000 of those threads were unique as can be. Varying in color, thickness, etc. The woman in this dimension’s thread was the thickest, and a pure golden color; thus, likely your main wife.” She lectured in reply, telling us more confusing and terrifying words.
