Chapter 126: Correcting Her (Cuteness Induced) Misunderstanding.

Guanyu: “Vulely, are you just going to stay quiet? Even worse than going after someone underaged… you’re cheating on Celia!” She accused with a serious and absolutely scolding tone.

Vulely: “( ? _ ? )”

Celia: “…”

Is this woman trying to come up with a silly excuse to kill me? Guanyu is glaring at me like she’ll kill my (supposedly) cheating ass any second now. For what purpose?! I am innocent in this case!!!

Vulely: “Like I said literally minutes ago, Guanyu, this is Celia. Those fakes seemed to like… keeping her in this form.” I explained after regaining my cool.

Guanyu: “Truly? Well, firstly… what proof do you have of this being the reality? She could be an illusion of my Soul Realm’s making, one which you fell for.” She asked in reply with a raised eyebrow.

Celia: “…”

Vulely: “Celia… please speak up, or your wife will kill this wife of yours.” I pleaded, at my wits end.

Celia: “Oh, uh… that gaze she was giving me earlier was… just a bit too similar to what those two would look at me like. Guanyu, Vulely is speaking the truth.” She finally added, after a long, dreadful silence.

Clearly, Guanyu was too… interested in the utter adorableness of our wife’s current form. Rather, she must have not heard what I said earlier, her focus purely on the cute girl before us.

Tap!

Guanyu: “Hm… it’s true; you’re indeed my wife.” She said with a smile.

Celia: “That I am, yes. And despite my diminished stature… I have returned to my full power!” She replied with her own smile, and in an excited tone.

Vulely: “Hey, Guanyu…” I deadpanly added.

Guanyu: “What is it?” She replied with a head tilt.

Vulely: “Did you… confirm that this was Celia by checking her Soul? You merely tapped the middle of her chest…” I asked with a still deadpan tone.

Guanyu: “That would be correct.” She answered with a nod.

Vulely: “Alright. Then… why did you have to run me through to confirm my Soul?!” I accused with an angry and loud tone, a similar fed up expression surely showing on my face.

Look, I know that I am an invader to this realm, a place that I would never have accessed in any other circumstance. But this is the most I’ve gotten injured in… literally thousands upon thousands of years!

Why me? And now… I see that, unbeknownst to me, Guanyu apparently has double standards. A tap for Celia, a blade right to the Soul for me. I know that Cultivators are often depicted as hypocrites even on a good day… Though, in this situation, Guanyu and I are sister wives; so she shouldn’t be that unfair to me. Aaaaaaaaaa, my frustration is endless!!!

Guanyu: “Vulely, I admit to being too… cruel just now. An overreaction, to say the least. What is wrong with you? More than angry… you look hurt, and I can’t seem to figure out why this is… Have I hurt you in some other way that I am unaware of? Regardless of if I unknowingly caused you pain or not; Celia has taught me how one should comfort those who are suffering. Especially those I love…” She approached and asked me with a concerned tone and expression, before then…

Hug!
