Celia: After Dying in the Apocalypse, I Live Once Again!

Volume 10. Chapter 123: An Expression That I’ve Never Seen On Her Face Before! (Chapter 1024)

Chapter 123: An Expression That I've Never Seen On Her Face Before!

My conscious returned sooner than it took for it to fade. When I awoke, Guanyu was looking down at me, face red as can be, her being clearly (and deeply) embarrassed.

Of course, despite us having a good relationship, things such as a lap pillow… are exclusive to Celia. So Guanyu left me lying on the cold, dead ground, which I got up from as soon as I could steady myself. Now then, what was her reasoning for this?…

Guanyu: “Vulely, I needed to make sure that you were real, and not a false creation of my Soul Realm; one which would surely trick me into making a mistake.” She admitted without me asking about this yet.

Vulely: “Alright… But how come you had to stab me to do that? I think that I was the closest to dying that I’ve ever been before…” I asked in reply, sighing all the way.

Guanyu: “To be accurate, you absolutely did die.” She nonchalantly informed.

Vulely: “( ’-’ ~)”

That’s right, Guanyu, my sister wife, had accidentally killed me off. I was trying to ignore this truth, but the Cultivator ripped that band-aid off for me, all without my consent. Though, this does beg a question. How… am I still alive?

Guanyu: “Faces, a body, personality, tone, those… are all things that can be faked. A Soul can truly never be copied; each one is 100% unique.” She explained with a serious tone.

Vulely: “…”

Guanyu: “With that blocking Celia put on our Souls, it is impossible to see and detect them anymore. As such, I had to give yours a little… poke, of which proved that you’re the genuine Vulely.” She continued, seeing my silence, tone switching back to embarrassment at an absurd speed.

Vulely: “That poke of yours… apparently ended my life, Guanyu.” I replied with an upset tone and expression.

Guanyu: “And I can never earn your forgiveness from me doing so. That action was reckless, one of a woman who hadn’t yet taken full account of the situation we find ourselves in. I didn’t know that one of my split-off personalities injured you this badly, nor notice that you were even still hurting in the first place…” She expressed with a deeply remorseful tone, even adding a bow to her apology.

Vulely: “(~OAO)”

So… it truly was an accident, and I wasn’t just giving her the benefit of the doubt in my narration from minutes prior. Even more so… she bowed to me. I am probably the only person in existence that Guanyu has bowed to like this!!!

Vulely: “Guanyu, I forgive you, don’t worry. Though… can you tell how I didn’t die, or rather, stay dead? Xena and Runey put a lot of work in fixing up loopholes, like reviving someone before their Soul can leave their vessel, etc.” I asked with a curious thinking pose.

Guanyu: “Thankfully, those fixes do not apply to Soul Realms. Your Soul was unable to leave, giving me more than enough time to put it back together. It was quite the task, in all honesty. Perhaps we should have Celia or Nemu look it over? That is, once we’re out of this predicament.” She answered with a nonchalant tone and light smile.

Vulely: “( o_o)”
