Chapter 1802: I Am Not Yours!
Chapter 1802: I Am Not Yours!

The White Ghost’s Secret Cultivation Arts: White Ghostly Mist Consciousness Method was far more than a mere book. It formed part of the White Mist Ghost Mother’s enduring legacy, carrying a direct link to her ancient powers.
Cultivating it felt as though the practitioner would gain her subtle protection. Perhaps this very bond explained how the White Ghost Race had grown so dominant, conquering an entire region and proving resilient enough to withstand even the Demon King of Death himself.
The method worked by refining the soul and consciousness through a unique runic formula, allowing them to disperse like white mist. The soul grew weightless, far easier to maneuver and expand. It turned pale and ethereal, yet immensely stronger.
When practiced alongside the previous technique, the White Ghostly Mist Consciousness Method did not consume or override it. Instead, the two harmonized, producing a profound combined effect.
Yet this new method proved far more intricate to cultivate than the Phantasmal Soul Consciousness Method. Elayne had studied the entire book and grasped its principles thoroughly, so she pressed on, refining her soul with both techniques to accelerate her growth.
Throughout the process, she drank Yaga’s potent potions, advancing steadily in her soul cultivation. These methods also nourished her Nature Soul, bringing everything into beautiful alignment.
“Why are you leaving? Stay! Please stay longer! I order you to remain with me for five more days!” Chalk pleaded, clinging desperately to Elayne’s hips as she tried to step away, dragging along behind her.
“L-Lady Chalk, I am a busy woman. I cannot stay here forever,” Elayne sighed, her voice gentle but firm.
“It has barely been twelve hours outside!” Chalk protested, her tone aching with need.
“I know, but I truly want to sleep,” Elayne replied softly.
“Then sleep in my bed with me!” Chalk begged, eyes brimming with tears.
Over the five days they spent together, Elayne discovered that Chalk craved nothing more than attention and genuine affection. Elayne’s warm, motherly nature and endless fascinating stories were everything Chalk had longed for throughout her isolated life.
She had found a true friend; one she could not bear to release. White Ghosts were fiercely possessive by nature, and Chalk’s heart refused to let go.
“Life feels so empty without you. Stay!” Chalk sobbed. “Please don’t go!”
Elayne edged slowly toward the door, fingers reaching for the handle.
“I’m sorry. We can talk outside, you know? My beloved must be worried, and I miss everyone dearly,” Elayne murmured, sorrow threading her words.
“Ugh! You don’t need them. You only need me! I’m your best friend now!” Chalk cried out, anger and tears mingling as countless hands of White Ghostly Energy materialized, wrapping tightly around Elayne.
“Eeek! P-Please let me go!” Elayne gasped, struggling against the unyielding grasp, but Chalk only tightened her hold.
“Sorry, Elayne, but you’re mine now!” Chalk declared, a slightly unhinged smile crossing her face. “You will stay here. Don’t worry, I’ll feed you well and teach you everything you desire to grow stronger. Until then, I will protect you within my domain!”
“W-What? Lady Chalk, I have an entire family waiting outside! I cannot do this!” Elayne protested, desperation rising as she fought to break free.
The vast gap in power struck her like a cold wave. Chalk’s magic overwhelmed her completely. Those White Ghost Claws felt like unbreakable mithril chains, rendering every effort futile.
“I have to get serious!” Elayne thought fiercely. She swiftly channeled both the White Ghostly Mist Consciousness Method and the Phantasmal Soul Consciousness Method, transforming into a ghostly form of swirling blue phantasmal flames and white mist, slipping free from the binding hands.
“H-Hey!” Chalk exclaimed. “Don’t go!” She pursued instantly, summoning ghostly chains to drag Elayne back. “Come here and tell me more about that anime thing!”
“Uuugh,” Elayne groaned in frustration. “Lady Chalk, I understand you’re lonely and crave company, but if you truly care about my feelings, you would let me go.”
Chalk froze, noticing the genuine sadness in Elayne’s eyes, the pain she was causing without realizing. “A-Ah…”
The chains faded slowly as Chalk stepped back. “S-Sorry. I don’t know what came over me.”
“Lady Chalk?” Elayne paused her escape and approached instead, concern softening her features.
“Maybe I’ve never had a real friend before, so my first instinct was to keep you all to myself,” Chalk admitted with a heavy sigh. “That’s how we’re raised in this society—seize what you want without hesitation.”
Elayne nodded understandingly and gently patted her head. “It’s okay. I know you didn’t want me to leave and acted out of fear, but it’s fine. I forgive you.”
“Really? You won’t hate me?” Chalk whispered. Despite her centuries of age, her eyes held the vulnerable gaze of a child who had spent most of her life alone.
“I won’t,” Elayne smiled warmly, taking Chalk’s hand. “Come on, let’s go outside. I need to sleep now, but once I wake up, we can spend time together again. No problem.”
“R-Really?” Chalk’s voice trembled with fragile hope. “Elayne, you’re too kind. I still want you all to myself…”
“What did we discuss about that?” Elayne reminded her gently, halting any rising intensity.
“A-Ah! Sorry,” Chalk nodded quickly.
Together, Elayne and Chalk stepped outside. Elayne reunited with Mark, apologizing for her long absence and explaining her experience with Chalk. He listened in amazement, fascinated by the time distortion within the domain.
“Wow, that’s incredible,” he said. “You advanced so much in just twelve hours. Maybe we could use that domain too?”
“Eeeeh? I don’t want you there,” Chalk grumbled possessively.
“Please be patient, Lady Chalk,” Elayne said with a weary yawn. “They may seem a little odd, but my friends are all kind and wonderful people to know. And even as an Undead, my soul needs rest sometimes. I’m going to bed now. Goodbye for now.”
Elayne headed to bed, only to find Blank standing silently before the window, gazing outward.
“B-Blank?!”
“Ah, Elayne. Forgive me for startling you. I was worried. I nearly entered my sister’s domain but chose to wait.”
“H-How did you get in here?”
“This is my house, so technically my room.”
“Oh.”
“Still, you’ve been gone nearly half the week. Would you mind visiting my domain next? Or perhaps I could show you other places you have yet to see.”
“I wouldn’t mind at all! But I’m exhausted right now. I need rest.”
“Very well. Sleep soundly.”
Blank departed quietly, his face as emotionless as ever, yet Elayne sensed the quiet jealousy burning beneath, he clearly envied his sister for claiming so much of her time.
