Chapter 604: Chapter 170 Construction! Construction!_2
Sharia, Alya, and Tina also had a plethora of tasks to handle.
In the entire Potion Research Group, Lokan, who was luckily promoted to a Third Level Wizard, was the most idle.
It’s unclear if he had promptly reported his successful promotion to the college.
According to the education system of Ravensmouth College, apprentices received their education from the Junior Division, then furthered their studies at the Senior Division after becoming a First Level Wizard, and finally advanced their studies at the main campus of the college after being promoted to a Second Level Wizard.
Each successful promotion corresponded to a plan of study.
Similarly, a Third Level Wizard needed to study at the main campus of the college as well; however, the duration was shorter, merely half a year.
Once the semester finished, they would be sent to various Sage Armies for real battle training.
In other words, Lokan’s successful promotion meant his time at the main campus of the college had actually decreased.
Could this be considered a way to escape?
Walking to the office, this thought suddenly flashed in Link’s mind.
Immediately, he restrained his wandering thoughts and entered the office.
Just as he sat down, Jasmine, seizing the opportunity before work started, said ,”Buck and Linn sent a message, they have chosen the wedding gift for Assad. How’s your preparation?”
“I won’t let Assad down.”
Thinking of the magic tool he was forging, Link gave a smile, keeping his plans to himself.
“You show-off!”
Jasmine rolled her eyes at Link, disregarded her plan to stay longer and left for her own office.
Link didn’t attempt to keep her, letting Jasmine exhibit her little temper volition.
Watching Jasmine leave, Link immediately focused on his work, pulling up the data he’d collected during his spare time, and began reading seriously.
These materials had a significant relation to Link’s assumptions.
Over so many years, so many wizards, not to mention each path was already well-walked.
At least similar explorations, researches and experiments had been conducted.
The residual materials and references held a very high reference value.
Just as Link was seriously reading the materials, Sage Serene and Witch Renee suddenly returned from the Fairy World to the main campus and headed straight towards the Experiment Building of the Research Group.
The first thing Sharia, Alya, and Tina did was to present a comprehensive report on what had happened the previous day.
After hearing the report, Sage Serene and Witch Renee each had different reactions.
“Deserves it!”
Witch Renee directly scoffed, “This man always overestimates himself and frequently commits reckless deeds.”
“Renee.”
Sage Serene called out, giving a reminder, telling her not to continue speaking, but didn’t blame her.
“You two go ahead.”
After instructing Alya and Tina, Sage Serene turned to Sharia and said, “Take me to see Lokan.”
Alya and Tina paid their respects to Sage Serene and Witch Renee and left.
Sharia led the way, taking Sage Serene and Witch Renee to the observation room on the third basement level.
Through the one-way mirror, they saw Lokan sitting in a corner, lifeless like a statue.
Witch Renee didn’t react much, only lamenting in her mind, reckless people do reckless things, and even stumbled upon a promotion to Third Level Wizard.
Sage Serene, however, had a slightly creased brow, her emotions complex.
Over the years, she had been taking great care of Lokan for a very simple reason.
A few years ago, Palo Sigma, at that time a Third Level Wizard and main commander of a Sage Army, needed a body-refining wizard for a critical role in his special offensive squad.
Lokan, who had recently been promoted to a First Level Wizard and had just come from the Senior Division to intern, stood up and switched to being a body-refining wizard.
Sage Serene had vowed to solve the scarcity of body-refining potions that a body-refining wizard required.
Unfortunately, she was tied up with multiple tasks and different research fields, resulting in her inability to create a suitable potion. This left Lokan with no choice but to purchase common body-refining potions with toxic side effects from the market.
This matter had always been a thorn in Sage Serene’s side, causing her to feel responsible for Lokan’s change in character and increasingly reckless behavior.
Therefore, seeing Lokan in his current state, Sage Serene was not pleased.
However, Renee’s words of advice a few days ago had resonated with her.
If she was to put pressure on Palo at the moment and get him to pursue her, she knew she had to straighten out her interpersonal relationships.
There could be no ambiguity that might cause suspicion.
If anything, Lokan, who always stayed by her side, needed to be discouraged from his delusions.
Although the words Renee uttered yesterday were indeed harsh and injured Lokan’s self-esteem, they were not her own decision but were approved by Sage Serene.
The purpose was to discourage Lokan from his delusions.
From the looks of it, Renee’s words had a very good effect.
Sage Serene, with her complex feelings, carefully examined the data from yesterday, as well as the measures taken by Link, soon her attention was diverted.
The more she looked, the more amazed she was, and the more she felt Link’s handling was full of ingenious ideas.
She curiously asked, “Did Link talk to you about what he did yesterday?”
“No.”
Sharia replied truthfully, “He didn’t tell us, and we didn’t ask. Even if he did, or we did, it’s not like we’d understand.”
“Fair enough.”
Sage Serene thought for a moment, indeed it was the case.
Merely based on the surgery recorded, Sage Serene could only comprehend the operative part.
As for the underlying implications, she still hadn’t fully understood.
