Wang Yao’s words stunned Tang Xuanyu and Huangfu Meng.

Tang Xuanyu stood up and said, “With Father present, you will never succeed!”

“Father…” Wang Yao chuckled. “I already said, ‘What do you think I’ve been preparing all these years?'”

Wang Yao began to exude an unprecedented power.

All the devils on the mountain immediately prostrated. Even those possessing wild auras seething with demonic flames that indicated that they were Demon Lords bowed before Wang Yao.

Huangfu Meng and Tang Xuanyu looked at each other in surprise. Wang Yao’s advancement had to do with what he had experienced in the Rosecloud Domain?

He slowly narrated, “In the ancient past, the Four Sacred Beasts were born as supreme existences of the Great Stellar Chiliocosm, dominating the universe for tens of thousands of years. But who could have imagined that humans would have the power to defy the heavens? They developed the Immortal cultivation system, and starting from the weakest Spirit Disciple, they slowly developed, going from Spirit Disciple to Spirit Master, and then Celestial Heart, Violet Palace, Immortal Platform, until they stood equal with the Sacred Beasts! The Four Sacred Beasts could only watch as our status in the universe fell lower and lower… Can you understand… how that feels?”

Tang Xuanyu nodded. “Although I’ve not experienced it before, it’s not hard to imagine.”

Wang Yao nodded. “Thus, the Four Sacred Beasts began to think of ways to break their shackles.”

Huangfu Meng recalled the story of the Azure Dragon that Tang Jie had recounted to her, and she said, “The Azure Dragon… Could the White Tigers also have…”

She didn’t finish, but Wang Yao chuckled and said, “Correct. Did you think that old scoundrel the Azure Dragon was the only schemer? The White Tiger was just as sharp!”

It seemed like he knew of what the Azure Dragon had done.

Wang Yao went on, “The Four Sacred Beasts were divine beasts from birth, able to grow strong without cultivation, and for this very reason, our shackles were countless times tougher than those of humans. Long ago, the Four Sacred Beasts realized that if they wanted to break these shackles and attain higher heights, they would have to pay an enormous price. But when it came to how to pay this price and what sort of price would be paid, each Sacred Beast had a different idea. Among them, the Black Tortoise had the idea with the least ambition. He had no thought of breaking his shackles through his own efforts, instead seeking out a natural opportunity to break them through endless Reincarnations. This opportunity might be some divine item or some lucky encounter, or perhaps some divine individual. He placed his hope on an ethereal future, but as a result, in all those countless lives, not only did he fail to find that opportunity, he even found it hard to preserve his original strength. Although he was always a genius in every life, the bottleneck he faced grew stronger and stronger, and now, he can’t even break into Violet Palace. But perhaps this sort of endless Reincarnation was a good thing for him. At least he didn’t end up like the rest of us…”

Wang Yao’s voice faded away, and only after a short pause did he continue.

“As for the Azure Dragon, that old fellow was a master of Fate and Karma, so he manipulated Fate, ruining the life of Immortal Ji Yao, and used the Fake Sky, False Sun Immortal Art. As he called out, a dragon roared.

An enormous Azure Dragon came flying out of the distance, radiating terrifying majesty.

It was Lin Xin, still occupying the Azure Dragon’s body.

She was in the Primordial Fog Domain, and from Wang Yao’s tone, the two were apparently extremely close.

A moment later, the Azure Dragon transformed into an azure-robed woman. It truly was Lin Xin, and it seemed like she now had full control of her body.

She went up to Wang Yao, and Wang Yao embraced her and gave her a kiss, using his actions to indicate their relationship.

The Azure Dragon and White Tiger had become a couple?

Huangfu Meng and Tang Xuanyu felt like something had gone wrong with this world.

Although Huangfu Meng had never met Lin Xin before, she still bowed and said, “Tang Jie’s disciple, Huangfu Meng, pays respects to Aunt Lin.”

She brought up Tang Jie’s name with the intent of reminding Lin Xin of all that had happened back then.

Huangfu Meng said, “Aunt Lin knows that Master became a Gold Immortal? I never mentioned such a thing.”

Lin Xin smiled. “Bao’er wasn’t joking when he said that he had been watching the Rosecloud Domain all this time.”

This sent a shiver through Huangfu Meng’s heart.

This simple sentence divulged two important pieces of information. The first was that Wang Yao truly was keeping an eye on the Rosecloud Domain and hadn’t simply obtained information from Lin Xin. Thus, he knew far more about the Rosecloud Domain than they could have imagined. The second was that ‘Bao’er’ was the milk name Tang Jie had given Wang Yao. Lin Xin bringing it up here was no accident, but an intentional way to bring up her old relationship. This meant that her mind tended toward Tang Jie’s side. Moreover, she had yet to become a demon and was no fiend demon. On the other hand, Wang Yao had neither demonic energy nor any power of the positive plane. He seemed to be between the two, making it impossible to determine if he had become a demon or not.

But considering his intense hatred toward the Rosecloud Domain, Huangfu Meng felt like the chances were greater that he had become a demon. Moreover, the demons of the Primordial Fog would find it very difficult to accept a non-demon as their leader.

As Huangfu Meng considered countless things, Wang Yao said, “Lin’er, there’s no need for that. Thus, it was inevitable that we White Tigers would break our shackles. The only difference was that the ancestor of the White Tigers would never be able to enjoy this fruit, only his descendants. To break these shackles, we even endured generations of slaughter and breeding.”

Huangfu Meng and Tang Xuanyu were stunned.

At the cost of countless lives and generations of imprisonment and slaughter, the White Tigers had been able to allow a single descendant to break their shackles. The price the White Tigers had paid was countless times greater than the Azure Dragon’s!

As he spoke, his aura expanded once more.
