“That would be for the best,” Tang Jie answered with a smile.

The elder stepped out of the Mountain God, raising the cane in his hand high and transforming into a raging sand tornado that howled toward the demons.

“Sect Master!” the young cultivator shouted.

Tang Jie also sighed, knowing that the old man was planning to die in battle. Of course, he could have stopped him, but he knew that an old leader of a formerly powerful sect could easily become the backbone of the resistance, the source of a future problem.

Only the death of this old man would strip the Five Mountains Sect of its ability to be threatening, would make it appear harmless to the Basking Moon Sect.

Only then could it be truly safe.

The devil chief swung his axe as if he wanted to split open the heavens.

But just when several dozen cultivators were about to be slain, a fist suddenly appeared and stopped the axe cold.

The owner of this fist was a bare-chested young cultivator, his body rippling with muscle and sheer physical force, more like a barbarian than a cultivator.

“Who are you?” the devil chief called out in alarm, sensing danger from this foe.

“Your killer, Wang Juemie!”

A punch flew out!

“The demons will never be defeated!” Another devil chief charged out, assuming their true form of an enormous snake. It opened its maw, unleashing a black vortex, and those cultivators caught up in it instantly had their bodies shredded to a pulp, not even their souls able to escape.

Another Immortal flew into the fray, firing off a chilling wave of sword energy. This sword energy shattered the fabric of space as it soared through the air, and as it fell on that snake devil, a fountain of black blood shot into the air.

“‘Demons will never be defeated’?” Xiao Biehan sneered. “You’ll get to have a good taste of it today!”

Another devil chief wanted to make its move, but then one Immortal appeared after another, several dozen of them!

The Primordial Fog Domain had a custom when invading the positive plane of assigning forces according to the strength of the domain being invaded. The Floating Rock Domain was a small domain, so while the strongest Demon Lord invading was at the True Immortal level, he was only a Lesser Demon Lord. Moreover, he was the only True Immortal, and under him were ten-some devil chiefs. But these new humans had sent out several dozen Earth Immortals and seven True Immortals.

And when they saw the several dozen Immortals, the demons finally lost all hope.

The battle turned into a one-sided massacre.

As the demons died, their demonic energy painted the sky in ink.

But the Rosecloud cultivators seemed unaffected by the demonic energy, continuing to charge in and out of it.

The demons knew that defeat was inevitable, and some of the high-tier devils began to tear through space to escape. But most of the demons could only die under the combined might of the humans, turning into demonic energy to contaminate the world.

To be honest, if the Rosecloud Domain hadn’t come in, the demonic energy alone would have posed a massive problem for the Floating Rock Domain.

But now, it was no longer a problem.

The battle entered its last phase, the demons having basically all been wiped out. The Rosecloud Domain drew closer, beginning the grandiose merging process. But the process was much gentler than the seismic transformation of before. This was possible because the natives were not interfering. The domain merging formation drew the two worlds together, allowing the special properties of the Floating Rock Domain to be preserved to their maximum extent, which would also make it easier to govern in the future.

When these two worlds of the positive plane began to merge, an earthshaking transformation took place in the Primordial Fog Domain.

The Forest of Silence.

This was where the demons had invaded the Floating Rock Domain, and it was located in the Flamma Rubrum Region.

As the domains began to merge, this area was engulfed in an inexplicable darkness.

The darkness persisted for an entire month.

This was the time it took for the Rosecloud Domain and Floating Rock Domain to merge.

Once they finished merging and became one, the darkness-covered Forest of Silence permanently disappeared.

Just like that, the Forest of Silence was gone from the Flamma Rubrum Region. Meanwhile, the Confusionem Region had been experiencing an earthquake.

This earthquake had lasted for an entire month.

After one month, a new area had permanently appeared in this region: the Forest of Silence.
