Aspiring to the Immortal Path

As Tang Jie spoke, a light silently spread. It expanded at a deceptive pace, seeming slow yet almost instantly covering the entire Yellow Court World.

Thus, the Yellow Court World was bathed in a sacred light, imbued with a sacrosanct aura.

The center of this aura was Tang Jie.

He still stood there, fighting with his tattered body against the devils, but there was now a layer of light around him.

It was a mysteriously profound light.

Libido didn’t know what it was, but he felt danger.

Immense danger!

Unprecedented danger!

Not good!

With a strange shout, he hastily retreated, and with him went the three Lesser Demon Lords. Of the same cultivation level and only slightly weaker than Libido, they quickly felt the terror that Libido felt. In contrast, the other devils were much slower to react, still battering away at Tang Jie.

But no matter how far they retreated, they couldn’t escape this sense of danger.

For the entire Yellow Court World was bathed in this light.

Anyone under this light was in Tang Jie’s realm!

Demon Lord Libido felt a power flowing out of him. In shock, he saw Tang Jie’s damaged body starting to recover.

His missing ear, eye, nose, arm, and legs all reappeared.

It was not that they grew back, but as if they had always been there, simply popping into existence.

In a flash, all of Tang Jie’s missing flesh and energy returned.

Tang Jie had returned to his peak state.

And then Tang Jie said:

“Fixate!”

Law Speaking!

Tang Jie’s true body didn’t have the Law Speaking Dao Art, but within the Heavenly Dao Realm, his will was everything and decided all. His only limit was the realm itself. He could even have the devils simply die, but alas, this took a vast amount of energy that Tang Jie wasn’t able to sustain.

So he went for the second-best option.

In the first second, he restored all his lost energy. This saved much more energy than regeneration, as he simply had to take back what Libido had devoured.

In the second second, he chose to paralyze all the devils.

And then he began his attack!

World Devourer!

The terrifying black hole swiftly expanded, devouring all the devils and spreading toward the four Demon Lords.

Libido panicked, shrieking as he focused all his energy on breaking through. At this moment, the secretive Libido finally revealed his true power, and the surge of energy was too much for Tang Jie to bear. Maintaining the binding would take more of the realm’s power, so after 0.1 second of hesitation, Tang Jie let Libido go.

This Archdemon Lord instantly shot away. While he couldn’t escape the small world merged with Tang Jie’s Heavenly Dao Realm, he could at least escape the range of the black hole.

The three Lesser Demon Lords also mustered their energy to try and escape.

Tang Jie also released their bindings, but he only let two of them go, keeping Windfang.

The World Devourer instantly engulfed Windfang.

The devils revived, but Tang Jie immediately froze them again, making it so that they couldn’t even fight back.

Another World Devourer appeared.

This time, he ignored Libido and the two other Lesser Demon Lords, focusing only on Windfang and the devils.

Restored by the Heavenly Dao Realm to his peak state, he had no need to worry about using up energy, and the devils were killed moments after they revived.

Windfang knew that there was no escape, and numerous vortices appeared on his body as he layered demonic energy around himself.

These black holes summoned by Tang Jie appeared like blooming black flowers, radiating the beauty of death within the garden of the Yellow Court.

Thus, Windfang was able to endure two World Devourers, but the next one killed him.

When he revived, he still saw nothing but endless darkness.

“Shit,” Windfang mumbled, and then he was once more consumed by the torrent of energy.

In the distance, Libido, Logi, and Wano watched in shock.

“What is this power? What is it?” they muttered while trembling.

In truth, they could tell that Tang Jie’s power had limits, or else he wouldn’t have let the three of them go. It probably cost more the more targets there were, and Tang Jie had to let them go so he could thoroughly kill the rest of his enemies.

In other words, if the three of them charged in, they might be able to save everyone else, or at least Windfang.

But at this moment, the innate selfishness of demons came into play.

They would rather tremble in fear in front of Tang Jie and watch Windfang and the others die than charge in there to share some of the burden.

Nobody knew how long Tang Jie’s Heavenly Dao Realm could last, how it was used, or if it could change targets—which it could. Thus, if they charged in, they might be able to save Windfang and the others, but they also might end up throwing themselves into the flames.

Libido and the other two could not accept this.

Thus, these cunning Demon Lords, despite seeing Tang Jie’s shortcomings, were still unwilling to oppose Tang Jie, still unwilling to save Windfang.

Thus, the fate of Windfang and the rest was simply to die!

To die utterly within that black storm.

In the sixth second of the Heavenly Dao Realm, all the devils had died, and in the fourteenth second, Windfang died.

In this period, Tang Jie had used the Heavenly Dao Realm to restore his powers once.

One Windfang had been enough to consume as much of the Heavenly Dao Realm’s power as all the other devils added up together.

This wasn’t to say that Windfang was as strong as those twenty-some devils, but because Tang Jie had already killed those devils several times, greatly weakening them and reducing the number of times they could revive. In comparison, the three Lesser Demon Lords had died much fewer times. Moreover, Windfang was a True Immortal and could resist the binding of the Heavenly Dao Realm to a certain extent. “But you definitely can’t kill us again!” Wano immediately replied. “Or else you would have pulled us in.”

“But I can at least kill one more of you… including you!” Tang Jie turned to Libido. “Or else you would have thrown yourselves in.”

“Then why didn’t you kill one of us?”

“Because I have to leave a little in reserve,” Tang Jie chuckled. “I came in, so I have to come out.”

“You’ve killed so many devils, and you still want to leave?” Libido sinisterly said.

Although Libido was somewhat intimidated by Tang Jie’s power, he managed to keep his composure and hide his fear.

“If you want to come at me, then just do it. Why waste time talking?” Tang Jie countered.

The three devils fell silent.

He had healed his injuries and recovered all he had lost.

He had been able to battle against all the devils without using the Heavenly Dao Realm.

Now, all the devils were dead, and if he killed another, then in a one-versus-two, even without the halo, he probably wouldn’t be at a disadvantage.
