Chapter 1990: Hidden Attribute

Chapter 1990: Hidden Attribute

“Why does he only bring the Diamonian Rabbit? We need to bring everyone in for a check-up as well.”

Meadow sounded annoyed as she cast a wind magic that lifted the Grounded Wombat’s cage. They brought all the newly bought Beast Spirits to the Medical Hub.

As they arrived in front of the building, the door was flung open as the Ogre ran out. He only stopped when he saw Tang Shaoyang. With a quick dash, the Ogre arrived in front of his boss, “What did you do to the Diamonian Rabbit, Sir?”

Meadow and Lavender were alarmed when they heard the question. Meadow looked confused as she believed her new boss would not willy-nilly kill the Beast Spirit, whether they were poisoned or not. However, the question and the tone implied that something bad had happened to the rabbit parents.

Tang Shaoyang knew what the question was about: “The energy that poisoned the parent rabbits is the Void Energy, and I took out the Void Energy. They should be fine, right?”

Azhug’s eyes went wide with a realization. He wanted to ask how his boss drew the Void Energy out, the most poisonous energy for any living being. The Ogre realized that he might pry into his boss’s skill if he asked.

“Yes. Elnar says they are safe and will live…”

The Druid got another realization. His boss was aware of what happened to the Diamonian Rabbit, and that was why his boss did not mind buying them. This realization gave him a sense of relief, a little bit. It meant he was not gambling with the Tang Garden’s funds.

“I think I have stayed too long here,” Tang Shaoyang said, not knowing how long he had stayed here. He skipped his night routine to be here, but he made progress with his new class. “I will let you take care of the rest, Azhug. I want my Ko— Crimson Mist to be in their pond when I return.”

The fish he called Koi was actually called Crimson Mist. He called them Koi because of the high resemblance to an actual Koi.

“Yes, Sir. I will make sure that all our Beast Spirits have a comfortable home!” Tʜe source of this ᴄontent s oᴠel Fre.nt

Tang Shaoyang left the Tang Garden and returned to the same spot where he had left, the Bathhouse. His Chaos Eyes saw through the wall and found out it was morning already.

He went to the terrace where he usually ate and took out a lunchbox. This was another moment he enjoyed during his stay here, enjoying his food while basking in the morning sunlight. Even though this was an abandoned world, this place was surprisingly comfortable to live in, which was a rare occasion.

[It’s because of the Thousand Vows Pavilion’s barrier that protected this place for years. Without the protection, you will not have the same experience.] Vandir commented.

Tang Shaoyang just shrugged, “Let’s check how many attributes I get from twenty Beast Spirits.”

———————————————

Beast Spirit Is My Power (Total of increased attributes: 2445)

[Beast Spirit (20)]

1. Snow Caracal (4) – 220 Magic Power

2. Auspicious Mytherean (1) – 100 Luck

3. Void Sparrow (3) – 375 Magic Power

4. Diamonian Rabbit (4) – 750 Charm

5. Grounded Wombat (2) – 200 Strength

6. Crimson Mist (6) – 800 Agility

———————————————

[That’s not bad, but this is far from enough. I don’t think you can feel the difference with such little attributes. But you might unlock a new attribute. I see Charm and Luck.] Vandir voiced out the two attributes that stood out.

Tang Shaoyang checked his window status to see if there was a new attribute aside from the five existing attributes. However, he did not find a new attribute on the screen. It was still the same five existing attributes: Strength, Agility, Stamina, Vitality, and Magic Power.

“I hope there’s a way to get more stats from the current Beast Spirits. It will be hard to rely on the number of the Beast Spirits.”

He agreed with the Death King that the increased attributes did nothing to someone like him. He needed at least 60,000 Attribute Points to increase a one-star attribute to one of his attributes. Even a one-star increase was not really that much for him. He could feel something different once he increased his attribute by ten stars.

[Maybe you will get more attributes based on the Beast Spirit’s happiness as well. Also, don’t forget that one of your skills is Beast Spirit Evolution. Helping them to evolve might also increase your stats.] Avyn reminded him there was more to the class.

“I hope so…”

Avyn reminded him of the other skills. There was also Beast Spirit Bond, and he did not know what the skill did. He realized that he did not need to bond with his Beast Spirit; he could simply bring them into the Tang Garden. He was curious about the skill.

———————————————

[Beast Spirit Bonds]

1. Snow Caracal (4): Level 1

2. Auspicious Mytherean (1): Level 1

3. Void Sparrow (3): Level 2

4. Diamonian Rabbit (4): Level 2

5. Grounded Wombat (2): Level 1

6. Crimson Mist (6): Level 1

———————————————

It did not give him much information until he tapped the Snow Caracal. It showed him a more detailed list that helped him to understand a little bit about the skill.

———————————————

[Snow Caracal]

1. Snow Caracal 1 (Level 1: 50 Hearts)

2. Snow Caracal 2 (Level 1: 50 Hearts)

3. Snow Caracal 3 (Level 1: 50 Hearts)

4. Snow Caracal 3 (Level 1: 50 Hearts)

———————————————

He understood a little bit as the list told him about their loyalty to him. He got it based on the heart symbol next to the level. The thing he did not understand was what the skill was for. Just to check the Beast Spirit’s loyalty? Why make it into a skill when this information could be placed in the Management Center’s menus?

[You need to name them. It’s ugly to see Snow Caracal 1? Snow Caracal 2?] Avyn complained upon seeing the list.

“I don’t know that I have to name them, and I think I will wait for Xiulan, Jiaying, and Yue to name them instead.”

[I also don’t understand why the System made this list a skill. Maybe you will get higher attributes from the higher bond? Again, you don’t have to make this list as a skill. This is not a skill!] Vandir was also frustrated. [It will be better if this skill gives you a clue to raise their loyalty, but it doesn’t.]

Tang Shaoyang agreed, but there was nothing he could do. He put aside the thoughts and checked the Void Sparrow. The family of three had level 2 bonds, which was surprising. He could understand why the Diamonian Rabbit had a level 2 bond because he saved their lives, but he did nothing special for Void Sparrow.

A notification followed right after he tapped on the Void Sparrow.

———————————————

[Void Sparrow]

1. Void Sparrow 1 (Level 2 : 0 Hearts)

2. Void Sparrow 2 ( level 2: 0 Hearts)

3. Void Sparrow 3 (Level 2: 75 Hearts)

———————————————

[The family of Void Sparrow looks at you favorably after your heroic feat for saving them from terrible hunters!]

[Your bond with the family of Void Sparrow has leveled up!]

“I see…”

He understood why his bond was at Level 2 with the Void Sparrow, but it was weird that his bond with the royal cat and the white cat were still Level 1. He saved them from a terrible fate as well. He checked the Auspicious Mytherean’s loyalty, and it was at Level 1 at 89 Hearts.

“What an odd number…” He muttered.

[Aren’t you curious about your Lucky and Charm Attributes?] Zara suddenly asked.

“I am curious, but we have nothing to investigate unless you know something about these two attributes.”

Tang Shaoyang was certainly curious about his Luck and Charm, but there was nothing he could do about it. There was no clue or anything to find out more about those two attributes.

[It’s called Hidden Attribute. You have them, but it doesn’t show in your window status; but it’s there. Something like that.] Avyn answered the question.

“Hidden Attribute? Is it something similar to aura?”

This was the first time he heard about hidden attributes. He figured out that it might be similar to Aura. There was no measurement for his aura or others, but he knew it was there, and he could use it for intimidation. Sometimes it was more than just intimidation.

“Is there something I can do to check my Hidden Attribute? Who knows that I might have other Hidden Attributes?”

[It’s called Hidden Attribute, so of course it will remain hidden. Maybe the Gods who want to meet you might know something.]

Again, Avyn reminded him about Thomas Lysvand, who had met the Gods and had his chance to meet the God. They told him that they were behind the System, and he was curious about these Gods as well.

“My list keeps growing, huh? Let’s focus on destroying our enemies first. The God Order and the Nirvana Alliance!”
