Chapter 25: Chapter 25 Hijacking the bunker.

The day had barely begun to descend into chaos, and Luna simply smiled.

"Let’s begin."

Her fingers brushed against the ordinary-looking backpack hanging over her shoulder. It wasn’t special at all—at least not to anyone watching. She had taken it out of her supermarket space for one reason only: appearances.

There was no way she was going to let people see supplies appearing out of thin air. Everything would seem as though it came straight from that worn-out bag.

"Whatever you’re planning is never going to fit inside that thing. Have you even thought this through?"

Luna scoffed.

Adrain seriously thought she was an idiot.

The confidence in his voice only made her want to throw the bag at his face.

Footsteps echoed throughout the underground passage as alarms continued to blare from every direction. Soldiers barked orders over one another, boots pounding against the concrete floor.

Surprisingly, none of them had reached the bunker entrance yet.

"Anyone that proves to be a threat... shoot them down!"

Kai froze where he stood.

His eyes widened in disbelief.

The government had actually given that order.

What about the civilians who weren’t infected?

Would they be executed too simply because they happened to be in the wrong place?

The thought alone made his stomach tighten.

Meanwhile, Adrain still hadn’t moved.

Luna walked over to the massive bunker door before pointing directly at it.

"Bring me in."

There wasn’t even the slightest hint of hesitation in her voice.

It wasn’t a request.

It was an order.

Adrain blinked.

"Excuse me?"

"I am not your servant."

Here we go again.

That familiar self-righteous pride.

Luna had heard the same tone from countless capable men in her previous life.

Every single one of them believed their pride mattered more than survival.

And every single one of them died like fish washed onto dry land because they refused to bend.

She folded her arms.

"Do you honestly think I’m treating you like a servant?"

Her voice softened just enough to make him listen.

"Look around. This is our chance to get supplies that people would kill for. We escape safely, we get additional rewards from my system, and your ability will grow stronger too."

She pointed toward the bunker again.

"All I’m asking is that you open one portal."

She looked directly into his eyes.

"Compared to everything I’m offering... that’s hardly a difficult bargain."

Silence.

Adrain stared at her, trying to understand what exactly she was after.

He glanced toward Rowan and Kai for support.

Both of them merely shrugged.

"Don’t look at us," Rowan said helplessly.

"We’ve received even less explanation than you have. Compared to us, you’re actually the lucky one."

Adrain let out a slow breath.

After weighing the options in his head, he finally nodded.

Without another word, he stepped away from the bunker wall.

His eyes closed.

Dark energy gathered around him before space itself distorted.

A swirling portal quietly appeared against the thick iron walls.

Luna immediately gestured toward the opening.

"Boys."

She pointed inside.

"We’re going in."

Rowan entered first without hesitation.

Kai followed closely behind.

Just as Luna was about to step forward with Adrain, strange sounds drifted across the safe zone.

Then came the screams.

One after another.

Gunfire erupted outside, echoing continuously through the underground facility.

The desperate shouting told Luna everything she needed to know.

The military had finally realized the truth.

Their bullets weren’t working.

Not against these zombies.

These weren’t the ordinary infected from her previous life.

They were something much worse.

Luna didn’t waste another second.

Before Adrain could even react, she grabbed his hand tightly.

The two of them crossed through the portal together.

The moment they arrived on the other side, Adrain immediately pulled his hand back.

"Why did you hold my hand like that?"

He frowned.

Luna released him without another glance.

"Don’t get any strange ideas."

She adjusted the backpack over her shoulder.

"I simply didn’t want you running off and closing the portal behind you."

Adrain frowned even harder.

That explanation somehow made even less sense.

Even Luna, who already knew its size, couldn’t stop herself from looking around.

Towering shelves stretched upward until they almost touched the ceiling, disappearing into rows upon rows of neatly organized supplies.

Boxes.

Cartons.

Medical equipment.

Daily necessities.

Enough food to feed thousands for an entire year.

If it was only herself and the four men...

It would probably last them several years.

Not to mention everything she already had stored inside her supermarket space.

"This is insane..."

Kai slowly turned in place.

"How did they even gather this much?"

Nobody answered him.

Everyone was too busy taking in the unbelievable sight.

Rowan narrowed his eyes.

"Isn’t a place like this supposed to have cameras?"

"And traps," he added.

"There should be security everywhere."

Luna nodded.

"There was."

Past tense.

The system had already hacked into the entire operating network the moment she arrived.

Every surveillance camera.

Every motion sensor.

Every hidden alarm.

Every automated trap.

Disabled.

No warnings had been sent.

No one outside knew they were already inside.

"It’s been taken care of."

She tossed another backpack toward Adrain.

"Start loading everything into that bag."

The backpack looked completely ordinary.

Only Luna knew it wasn’t.

It acted as a temporary entrance to her supermarket space.

Anything dropped inside would instantly be transported away, where her system automatically sorted every item onto the appropriate shelves at her supermarket.

If she needed something later, the system could immediately teleport it back into the bag, making it appear as though everything had been stored there from the beginning.

"I still don’t understand."

Adrain stared suspiciously at the small backpack.

"We’re supposed to fit all of this... inside that?"

"It doesn’t even make sense."

Kai laughed before patting his shoulder.

"If you don’t want your brain to explode..."

He grinned.

"...just do what she says."

"No matter how ridiculous it sounds..."

"It somehow always works."

Adrain gave up trying to understand.

With a sigh, everyone scattered in different directions.

Kai headed toward the frozen food section.

His eyes nearly popped out.

Rows upon rows of frozen meat.

Chicken.

Turkey.

Beef.

Fish.

Seafood.

Ready-made meals.

Everything remained perfectly preserved inside industrial freezers.

Without wasting time, he began lifting entire cartons before dropping them into the backpack.

Each one disappeared without a trace.

The bag remained exactly the same size.

Adrain and Rowan stopped working for a moment.

Both men stared at it with blank expressions.

"...What?"

Kai smirked.

"I told you."

"Now stop standing there and help."

He continued emptying freezer after freezer.

Meanwhile, Rowan reached the medical section.

Bandages.

Antiseptics.

Painkillers.

Antibiotics.

Syringes.

He swept entire shelves clean without leaving a single packet behind.

Luna looked across the massive warehouse.

Her voice echoed across the bunker.

"Raid everything."

Rowan looked around helplessly.

Her answer carried absolute certainty.

"So don’t stop moving."

Adrain eventually abandoned the idea of carrying boxes.
