Chapter 110 Strip for the devil II

Chapter 110: Chapter 110 Strip for the devil II

Hearing the word "strip" was like a slap to Luna’s face. The look Malcolm gave them was that of a predator who had finally cornered its prey. His eyes slowly passed over the men trapped in the net before settling on Luna, and he stared at her for a little too long. There was something almost thrilled in his expression, as though her presence had suddenly made this entire situation much more interesting for him. A sneer slowly appeared across his face—the expression of someone who believed he had already figured her out. The only woman. The only unfamiliar face. And, judging by the way he was looking at her, the one person in the group he was most curious about.

Luna’s expression remained cold. She didn’t like the way he was looking at her—not one bit.

"Gather them around!" Malcolm’s voice echoed through the massive hall.

The second-in-command immediately stepped forward, walking toward the giant fishing net where Luna and the others were still suspended. He pulled out a remote control and pressed a button. With a sharp mechanical sound, the net suddenly snapped open, the ropes releasing them and allowing them to step down onto the floor.

"The guys should all move to the right," the second-in-command ordered, his eyes settling on Luna. "You, girl, come with me." His command was absolute—there was no politeness in it, no room for refusal.

Luna simply stood there. She didn’t move an inch.

Kai was the first to walk toward the designated corner. Ethan followed. Adrian came next, still looking exhausted from the strain of opening the portal. Rowan, however, remained beside Luna, looking at her before turning his gaze directly toward the gigantic man standing in front of them.

"Anything we’re doing is supposed to be together," Rowan said firmly. "We’re a team. So she isn’t going anywhere without us."

The second-in-command’s face twisted as he stared at Rowan as if he couldn’t believe what he had just heard. Then, suddenly, his right arm moved, and a gigantic hammer appeared in his hand. The weapon was just as enormous as the man himself—it looked heavy enough to crush someone with a single swing.

The entire hall went silent. Nobody spoke. The civilians standing around them exchanged nervous glances. They knew what was happening, and they knew better than to interfere. Malcolm remained seated, watching. Luna could feel his gaze on her even while the second-in-command continued staring at Rowan. The pressure radiating from Malcolm’s armor was becoming increasingly unbearable—it wasn’t simply intimidating, it was suffocating. Luna’s eyelids felt heavy, her knees beginning to ache from the sheer force pressing down on her body. Even keeping herself upright required effort. But she refused to break. Not here. Not in front of these bastards. She wasn’t going to give Malcolm the satisfaction of seeing her struggle.

"Shut that shit you call a mouth," the second-in-command growled at Rowan. "Move to the right with your fellow guys unless you don’t like what I’m going to do." His grip tightened around the hammer.

Rowan stared at him. For some reason, the threat didn’t seem to affect him at all. "Make me shut my mouth." A cocky smile appeared on Rowan’s face. "That’s if you can."

A ripple immediately passed through the crowd. Several civilians looked at one another in disbelief—someone had actually challenged him. Nobody dared speak, nobody dared laugh, nobody even dared react too loudly. During their entire stay in the supermarket, there had always been one rule everyone understood: you did not challenge the rulers. Malcolm and his second-in-command controlled this place. They were the reason everyone obeyed. They were the reason everyone survived. Or, more accurately, they were the reason everyone knew what would happen if they disobeyed.

The second-in-command’s expression darkened. "You do know what you’re doing, right?" He took a slow step toward Rowan. "You understand what this is going to cause for you?" Rowan didn’t answer. "I’ll kill you right in front of your friends," the man continued. "And nothing will be done about it. No one here will mourn you."

Still, Rowan only smiled. "As I said..." He didn’t blink. "I’d like to see you try."

The second-in-command’s face twitched. Malcolm’s gaze shifted toward Luna. "You’re not going to talk to your boy?" Luna raised an eyebrow. "Tell him to keep his mouth shut." His voice carried a warning. "Won’t you tell him to stop being a fool?"

Luna smiled. But inside, she was already calculating. This was exactly what she wanted—while everyone was focused on Rowan and the second-in-command, Malcolm’s attention was divided. And more importantly, his eyes were still fixed on her. Perfect. She needed only a few seconds.

While the argument continued, Luna casually looked around. Her system had already infused its scanning function into her eyes—she didn’t need to open a visible panel, she only needed to look. No one would notice. Her gaze moved across the hall: left, right, behind the rows of civilians. Then she saw something—an enormous cubicle-like storage unit stood toward the left side of the hall. Several similar units were arranged in a straight line, and men were standing directly in front of them, guarding them.

Luna’s eyes sharpened. Supplies. There was no doubt about it—those men wouldn’t be protecting empty storage containers. Her lips curved into a tiny grin. Mine. She didn’t even need to touch it. Her system responded to her intent, and the enormous cubicle simply disappeared—gone, vanished straight into her space. No sound, no explosion, no flash, nothing. The people around her didn’t notice. The commotion between Rowan and the second-in-command had provided the perfect distraction.

Luna calmly looked away. She had just stolen an enormous storage unit full of supplies from right under their noses. Nobody had seen a thing. She almost wanted to laugh.

Then she turned her attention back to the second-in-command. "Can’t you handle him?" The man’s eyes snapped toward her. Luna’s expression became colder. "I mean, what’s the use of being the second-in-command if you’re incapable of making him obey you?"

The man’s hands twitched—his anger was becoming impossible to hide. "How dare you?" Luna didn’t flinch. He stepped forward. "How dare you?" His voice echoed across the hall as he looked ready to strike her.

But before he could move, Malcolm interrupted. "Bring her closer." The second-in-command immediately stopped. Malcolm’s eyes remained on Luna. "I think she’s going to be my mistress."

Everything changed. Rowan’s expression instantly contorted with rage as he took a step forward. Adrian reacted immediately, grabbing Rowan and holding him back. "What do you think you’re doing?" Adrian whispered.

"Let go." Rowan’s voice was low and furious.

Adrian tightened his grip. "Have you forgotten what we agreed on?" He lowered his voice further. "Let’s follow Luna’s idea again—at least one last time. We need to see whether we can survive this place. Don’t sabotage everything now."

Rowan’s jaw clenched. "He wants Luna to be his mistress." His voice was filled with disgust. "That’s fucking disgusting."

Adrian scoffed quietly. "I know." He glanced toward Malcolm. "But this is exactly what he wants." Rowan looked at him. Adrian continued, "He’s testing us. He’s trying to figure out our personalities and weaknesses. He’s watching how we react when he pushes our buttons." He tightened his grip on Rowan. "And you’re giving him exactly what he wants."

Rowan went silent. Adrian lowered his voice even further. "Pull yourself together. Luna won’t have anything to do with him—I won’t allow it, and none of us will." He barely finished speaking before one of the women in red slammed her baton against the floor.

Bang! "No whispering is allowed here!" The hall immediately went silent.

Kai, however, had been watching everything. His eyes had already noticed something else—Luna. More specifically, what Luna had done. He had seen her gaze move toward the storage area, seen the enormous cubicle, and seen it disappear. His jaw almost dropped. She stole it. Kai stared at the empty space, then slowly looked toward Luna. Of course she had done something like that. And somehow, no one else had noticed.

Kai didn’t say anything, but his mind was already working. Malcolm was studying them—that much was obvious. He wanted to know their personalities, their reactions, their strengths, their weaknesses, how easily they could be provoked. It was actually a smart strategy. But it was also a weakness because by trying so hard to understand them, Malcolm was revealing pieces of himself.

Kai had noticed something strange—the armor. The enormous armor covering Malcolm’s body wasn’t simply for appearance. The pressure coming from him seemed tied to it. Even the heavy mask covering his face seemed suspicious. There was something about that armor, something that didn’t feel normal. And Kai had a feeling that whatever Malcolm was hiding beneath it might also be connected to his weakness.

Interesting. Unfortunately, they didn’t have time to investigate it. Malcolm’s orders were still being carried out. Luna was pushed forward, and the other men were moved toward the opposite side of the hall and kept under guard. Rowan continued watching her. Kai remained alert. Ethan’s expression was cold. Adrian looked ready to intervene if necessary.

Luna, however, remained calm. She allowed herself to be brought closer—closer—until she stood directly before Malcolm’s golden throne. From this distance, he looked even more intimidating. The armor covered almost every inch of him, his face hidden behind the enormous mask.

Malcolm looked down at her. "The boys..." His voice echoed. "You know what to do with them."

The second-in-command nodded. "Throw them into the crocodile den."

Luna’s eyes narrowed. But Malcolm wasn’t finished. He looked at her. "This beauty will be my bitch." Luna was suddenly pushed forward, her balance failing as she fell directly at Malcolm’s feet.

His lips curled upward. "What a beauty." His voice was filled with disgusting satisfaction. "And I’m going to fill you up tonight until you’re nothing but my whore."

For one brief moment, Luna said nothing. She simply stared at him. The hall was completely silent. Malcolm seemed to believe he had finally broken her—that she was frightened, that she understood her position, that she was nothing more than another person trapped inside his territory. He had no idea.

Luna slowly lifted her head. Her eyes were ice cold. Then—SMACK! A thunderous slap echoed through the entire hall. Malcolm’s head snapped violently to the side. The sound reverberated against the metallic walls.

Every person froze. The civilians stared in horror. The guards stopped moving. The women in red stood completely still. The second-in-command looked as though his brain had stopped functioning. Rowan’s eyes widened. Kai’s mouth fell open. Even Adrian looked stunned.

Luna’s hand remained raised. Her palm stung from the impact, but she didn’t care. She had just slapped the ruler of the entire supermarket. And she had done it without hesitation.

The hall remained silent. Then the lights flickered—once, twice—and the entire room suddenly plunged into darkness.
