Apocalypse Supermarket: My Four Overpowered Husbands Wontstop Hoarding

Chapter 10 New timer

Chapter 10: Chapter 10 New timer

The cargo stopped close to the shore, and Luna climbed down to inspect everything that was being brought to her new home.

The moment she saw the shipment, a wave of satisfaction washed over her.

She was truly preparing for what was coming.

Originally, Luna had planned to visit the government office and hand over the documents for the house she had sold to them. After purchasing the mansion, they had called her to claim the ownership papers and complete the remaining arrangements, which was why she had chosen to deal with that first.

Now those plans could wait.

The government wasn’t going anywhere.

Looking down at her phone, she noticed that her so-called friend had finally stopped calling. Whether she could still call that person a friend anymore, Luna wasn’t sure. What mattered was that the calls had stopped.

That alone was a relief.

"Position everything where it’s supposed to be," she instructed the workers. "And make sure you follow the design I gave you."

She had already handed them detailed plans of how she wanted every section of the mansion completed, and they had agreed to follow every instruction.

Satisfied, Luna headed toward the hills.

The mansion stood almost against the mountainside, and seeing it up close made her realize just how enormous it truly was.

The location was perfect.

The mountain behind it stood high enough that flooding would never become a problem. Thick forests surrounded the property from every direction, hiding it completely from anyone passing by. From a distance, no one would ever suspect that a mansion was hidden among the trees. Only after coming much closer would the building finally reveal itself.

That was exactly why she had bought it.

To hide it from humanity.

And it was doing its job perfectly.

Stone steps had been carved into the hillside, allowing an easy walk toward the mansion. Even if an earthquake ever struck, there was already an underground bunker beneath the house, carefully built to ensure her safety. The bunker also served as a panic room, while another reinforced section was still under construction.

Watching the movers carry expensive furniture inside, Luna folded her arms quietly.

Everything was progressing exactly as she had planned.

Once she was satisfied, she shifted her attention toward the next priority.

Food.

"Nicole."

A young woman hurried over immediately, still wearing her apron.

"Yes, ma’am?"

Luna glanced around before lowering her voice.

"Monitor everything happening here. Don’t leave the property. Keep me updated on any progress, and if anything happens that needs my attention, call me immediately."

Nicole had been managing the mansion before Luna officially moved in, making her the only person Luna trusted enough to supervise the remaining work.

There wasn’t time for unnecessary delays.

Every wasted minute brought the future one step closer.

"Understood, ma’am."

Without wasting another second, Luna got into her car and drove away.

She had once considered selling the vehicle during her final round of purchases to recover some money.

After thinking about it carefully, she abandoned the idea.

What if an emergency happened?

What if she needed transportation when the roads became dangerous?

Keeping the car was the smarter decision, even if fuel eventually became difficult to find.

"This is exactly why I need to finish everything before it’s too late," she muttered.

As she drove through the busy streets, Luna suddenly remembered something.

"Hey... are you there?"

Almost immediately, a translucent panel appeared before her.

[Ding!!]

[According to your saved list, you planned to purchase rice. That is the only item currently recorded.]

Luna almost swore.

"Seriously?"

She frowned.

"I could’ve sworn I completed the list last night."

Had she really forgotten?

That meant she had practically wasted an entire morning.

Letting out a long sigh, she rubbed her forehead.

"Fine."

"We’ll start with rice."

She drove toward the largest wholesale market in the city.

It was a place where bulk purchases happened every day, making it the perfect location. Even if she bought an outrageous amount, it wouldn’t immediately attract too much attention.

Parking her car, Luna stepped out with the graceful confidence of a wealthy young woman.

Her calm expression and expensive appearance immediately attracted countless gazes.

Men admired her beauty.

Women either admired her elegance or envied it.

Young boys couldn’t help stealing another glance.

Luna noticed none of it.

Her attention remained fixed on the endless rows of stores, carefully searching for the right supplier.

After walking for several minutes, she finally stopped.

"This one."

The owner was a woman with puffy cheeks and a pleasantly plump figure. She had a cheerful smile that made her look approachable.

Luna couldn’t help admiring her confidence.

Despite her size, she looked genuinely happy.

Unfortunately...

That happiness wouldn’t last.

Soon enough, nothing in this world would.

"Good morning," Luna greeted politely. "I’d like to buy rice. Do you carry different varieties?"

The woman smiled brightly and nodded.

"Of course we do."

Satisfied, Luna didn’t bother asking for the woman’s name.

The woman introduced herself anyway, but Luna barely listened.

It didn’t matter.

Sooner or later...

She would die like countless others.

"I’ll need both grains and staples."

Without hesitation, Luna began reading from the notes she quickly typed into her phone.

"White rice—five thousand kilograms."

"Brown rice—one thousand kilograms."

"Jasmine rice—one thousand kilograms."

"Basmati rice—five hundred kilograms."

"Quinoa—three hundred kilograms."

"Rolled oats—one thousand kilograms."

"Instant oats—five hundred kilograms."

"All-purpose flour—three thousand kilograms."

"Bread flour—one thousand kilograms."

"Self-rising flour—five hundred kilograms."

"Cornmeal—eight hundred kilograms."

"Pancake mix—six hundred kilograms."

"Biscuit mix—four hundred kilograms."

"White sugar—two thousand kilograms."

"Brown sugar—five hundred kilograms."

"Powdered sugar—three hundred kilograms."

"Table salt—one thousand kilograms."

"Sea salt—three hundred kilograms."

"Kosher salt—three hundred kilograms."

"Cornstarch—two hundred kilograms."

"Baking soda—two hundred kilograms."

"Baking powder—one hundred and fifty kilograms."

"And dry yeast... one hundred kilograms."

By the time Luna finished, the woman stood frozen.

The quantities were unbelievable.

After recovering from the shock, she forced out a smile.

"Are you... stocking up for a business? Or maybe a really big house party?"

Luna simply looked at her before giving a careless shrug.

"Both."

That was all she said.

She had no intention of explaining herself.

It wasn’t anyone’s business.

Their job was to sell.

Nothing more.

Realizing Luna wasn’t interested in conversation, the woman wisely stopped asking questions and immediately began arranging the order.

Workers hurried around gathering everything on the list.

After watching them for a while, Luna spoke again.

"Once that’s finished, I also need pasta and noodles."

"The different varieties."

"Ramen."

"Spaghetti."

"Penne."

"Macaroni."

"Fusilli."

"You know the rest. Just bring everything."

The woman hesitated for only a moment before nodding.

Within minutes, more workers disappeared into the warehouse.

Luna considered adding several more items but stopped herself.

The woman was already becoming suspicious.

Buying everything from one place would only attract unnecessary attention.

It would be much safer to spread the purchases across different stores.

As requested, every sack and carton was loaded onto a massive transport truck.

Standing nearby with her arms folded, Luna silently watched until the truck finally drove away.

One category down.

Many more remained.

Next...

Canned food.

Although she preferred fresh meals, canned goods were invaluable during emergencies.

They lasted for years.

They were easy to transport.

And they provided variety.

Inside her storage space, nothing spoiled anyway, but there was no reason not to prepare for every possible situation.

Driving through several streets, Luna eventually slowed before a large supermarket.

A small smile appeared on her lips.

"Now..."

"This is it."

But changes were already going on which she doesn’t know about and right before her on her panel, was a new timer two hours more before the apocalypse.
