Name: Duncan | Age: 26 | Level: 27

Title: Hunter, Silver-rank (A-)

Race: Were-Dog

Redvelia — Hunter's Guild training yard.

「 It was early in the night, during the last third of summer… 」

"Shield Barrier!" Duncan yelled.

The Bronze brutes formed up and began to tighten their formation. The new defensive formation was simple and without too extreme a variation of the ones already in use, making them easy enough to learn. However, it was too much for some of the sloppy rookies training in the yard. Unfortunately, Duncan had lost the coin toss. And was now stuck training the ones with the slowest brains. 'Fuck this.' He thought. Some hunters were true idiots. 'No wonder we lose so many every time we go hunting past the shield.'

Sigil, the Hunter Master. Came walking into the yard with a tired face. "How are they doing?"

Duncan exhaled. Trying to calm down. "Horribly."

"Well. Don't push them too hard."

Duncan lifted an eyebrow. "What? They will die in that psychotic raid at this rate, Sir."

"I know. That is why this batch is not joining the turtles."

"Turtles?"

"We will explain it later. Are any of them fast at running? Without being clumsy."

Duncan took a hard look at the hunters in the yard. There was not a fast runner among them. And they were all clumsy.

"No."

The Hunter Master let out a tired sigh. "Well. Stop wasting your time with them. We will assign them to something else; it's not like there is a shortage of roles to fill."

"I don't get it. Even my party of idiots was able to form up. But this lot. They will never get to Silver rank at this rate; they stumble on their own feet."

"I kind of knew that would happen from the start. It was a shot in the dark." As the Hunter master finished talking, Duncan materialized his fangs, seething in rage.

"Then why the fuck did you ask me to do this in the first place? I could be drinking myself into an early grave!"

The hunter master shrugged. "If anyone was able to make them follow simple instructions. That would be you. You failed. Meaning there is no hope for them. I'd rather they bark at me until their voices give out than—"

Duncan heard heavy, metal-clad steps approaching from far away. "Who's that?" He asked. The Hunter Master's expression had gone somber.

"An annoyance." The large man replied with a sigh.

"Shield Barrier!" They heard someone yell.

On the other side of the yard. There was another party of bronzes, like the ones he was training. Practicing the same defensive formation. Unlike his. These hunters were coordinated. Locking their shields together in a single movement. Acting as one. Leaving just a small space in the center, wide enough that one could see through it, even stick one arm inside. But not wide enough that whatever tried to break through could get an easy hit in.

"Open up!"

The hunters moved as one while taking a single step backwards and turning to the side. They even struck the dirt floor with their spears. Simulating tripping over whatever step through.

Duncan chuckled. "Yeah. The ones you gave me will die before doing that."

The Hunter Master did not reply. The heavy steps closed in. Duncan really did not want anything with the nobles. Or their lackeys. So, he bailed. Turning around without waiting to be dismissed, just leaving pour Sigil to deal with whatever the fuck that armored man wanted.

"Break up! Training's over. Leave and wait for further instructions." Duncan said to the Hunters 'training' under his care, just walking away without waiting for their reply.

This weird raid was calling fresh blood. The streets were full. Wagons carrying all kinds of goods wherever you looked. Prices had not gone up. They would, eventually. Once the merchants realized that all of these people were not just passing by, and would stay until at least the mid-autumn migrations.

He walked to the best part of town. The pleasure district. That was probably the place that developed the fastest. It was the first one to establish itself; even before Redvelia had walls, the whores were already draining the hunters. There was not a pouch or dick safe from the insatiable nymphs. Duncan loved those whores. And just like the rest of town. The pleasure district had also been graced by new blood. Ready to be devoured.

"Hello, love!…" "Knot me, doggy" "Hi, handsome." "Oh my. ~Silver!"

Duncan smiled. Taking in the sights. There was mostly more of the same. Lots of humans, with a few were-dogs thrown in between. He was looking for something new. Exotic.

He caressed his ring of holding. It was the smallest and cheapest one available. Just for coin. Duncan knew that if he wanted some real action, some of that coin would have to go. But what was silver for, if not spending it?

He took a deep breath. If this upcoming 'training' raid was half as good as advertised. Silver would come. So, he would allow himself to spend a little more that night. He let out a sigh. And began walking towards the center of town once again. His hand trembled as his boots began to pound against the cobbles. Expensive. That was a given. But his resolve did not waver.

However, even on the expensive side of the pleasure district. He could not find something to his liking. Just as he was about to turn and leave for his favorite pleasure house. His prayer was answered. The Mother Moon smiled upon him. One of the most beautiful women he had ever seen walked past him.

She had tanned skin, uncommon in the north. The rough tail and long, pointy ears of the scarce fox-kin. Blue eyes. And as if that was not exotic enough for him, the moon smiled again. Blue hair. The rarest of hair colors, with evidence of care and investment, nicely cut just above her shoulders.

As if finding her walking in the pleasure district was not allure enough. A strong smell of cum washed over him. That woman smelled like sex. No. She smelled like a whore. Duncan could feel at least four different smells within her. She was walking with a party of three with her; all three of them were part of the cocktail. Mixing inside her womb. The smell was also fresh, so she had fuck all of them at once not too long ago, or, in the worst case, one after the other.

His neck snapped to the side as he began walking with a purpose. "Miss!" He yelled. The woman did not stop. "You. The blue-haired Fox-Kin!"

That made her stop. And a few people around her. Maybe it was the low light, but most had not noticed her until he opened his mouth. 'Fuck.' he thought. Now there would be competition.

Thankfully, the woman stopped and turned towards him. "Hello, Doggy. What can I do for you?" Her tail shook lazily from side to side as she spoke.

"I… How much?" He asked. Not masking his intentions.

"It depends. Come." The fox woman came closer and leaned over to him. She was on the shorter side. Not tiny. But smaller than him. It was just the perfect size to bend over. And what a view would that be; her body was that of a true huntress. Tight and lean. With strong muscles barely visible under her skin. Wearing tight shorts, a loose top cropped above her waist, custom-made boots, and gold tags.

Duncan froze. They all carried gold tags.

Sniff— She inhaled deeply, taking in his scent.

She shrugged her nose to the side. "Sorry, Pup. I'm not interested."

"Wha— Why? I can pay!" Duncan was losing his mind. There was no way he was letting this beauty escape. He would empty his entire savings just to have a night. No. A single mount would do. Just knotting her once would allow him to die happy.

"I don't doubt it. Sorry. But it's not about the Silv.' I'm just not into you."

"But— You are a whore, right? N— No offense. It's just…" Duncan glanced at her sides, where her party was just staring at him.

"Kind of? Yes. I give comfort to my party. But I won't spread my legs to anyone my nose doesn't approve of; my senses are sharper than yours. You are not bad-looking. If you were, I would have said no before smelling you."

"I…" Duncan was gawking in shock and disbelief. Did he smell? No. He could not smell worse than those at her sides. "I have a lot—"

"She said no. Pup. Get lost." One of the males growled and placed his hand on his sword. Or the hilt of one. A mana sword. The kind that manifested a blade. Even if he was just a brute, the man was taller than Duncan, and he would not make the same mistake again. Fighting a heavier opponent without a plan.

"Hey. If she wanted you, we would not get involved. But she doesn't." Another man, the same height as Duncan, said. Moving his robe to the side and flashed some scrolls that radiated visible mana. He had pointy, elven-like ears with a lithe, shredded body. And… tusks? 'What the fuck even is he?'

"What they said." The third man was the smallest of them all. And just wiggled his fingers. Carrying a ring of holding with untold dangers with him.

Duncan swallowed his pride. He would not be humiliated again in public. "It's… Sorry. I really did not mean to disrespect. Your beauty blinded me."

The fox girl smiled sweetly. Tugging at his heart. "It's fine. Is just that there is a lot of scum going around. And this lot keep me safe. Like I said. It's not you; I just can't do it. Blame my nose."

Duncan nodded and turned away. Not wanting to be in her presence. She might find his smell repulsive, but the opposite was true for him. Below all the layers of cum. There was sweetness.

As he walked away, he almost crashed into a tall man. He carried a large shield on his back. A human Tank. "Sorry." Duncan dodged him. 'Quite rare… Must have some dwarf blood.'

"Nadia. I have good news for you." Duncan overheard the tank address the fox girl.

"What did cha' find!?" The fox girl. Nadia. Cutely asked.

"They say there is a blood-mage in town. And that he's loaded."

Duncan waited. But Nadia never replied. He turned around, his curiosity getting the upper hand. The blue-haired girl was gawking, almost salivating, with wide eyes.

'Curse him and all others this beauty approves…'

He turned away and just began walking to his favorite pleasure house.

Thankfully, even with the influx of new people, the place was not full. It was quite the hidden gem, playing the long game. The Madame bought a lot that would eventually be part of the rich part of town when Redvelia was founded a few winters back. Right now. The cobbled road had not yet reached them. So they could not charge as much as those where it had.

"Look what the dog dragged in. Or should I say, look at the dog that dragged himself back to us once again. What happened, pup? The ladies up the road still too expensive for you?" The Madame asked as soon as he was dragging mud towards her wooden shack.

She was a human, probably in her late thirties. Tall and not very good-looking. But she knew how to dress herself, wearing nice clothes with expensive accessories and even some infertility tattoos she must have done in the south. And most importantly. She knew how to suck a dick like no other.

"Not really. I have coin. But they are not worth it." He shrugged.

The madam reached out and scratched behind his ear. Sending a shiver of comfort and pleasure that made him regret even looking somewhere else in the first place.

"Don't worry, pup. Come inside. We just restocked on brews… And girls."

Duncan heard giggles coming from inside the house, his regrets drowned out by their song.

Name: Lisa Kadashi | Age: 27 | Level: 76

Title: Aizel Kadashi's Soul Bound

Race: Seraphim Angel

They left the Hunter's Guild after claiming the bounty for the dog. The only way to calm Aizel down was to tease him. And tease him they did. It was fun. The man finally stopped complaining after a while, even if he was right. It quickly got annoying.

Valerie had taken him to do some night training. Lisa and Vanessa stayed. They were not feeling like hunting. Besides. Valerie had not had him all to herself yet, at least not after getting married. So they let them be.

"There! They have gobo skewers!" Vanessa happily said and dragged Lisa along.

Lisa got handsy and copied the little maneuver Aizel did with Kira. Planting her hand firmly on Vanessa's behind.

Vanessa sucked her lips in and smiled at her. It was amazing. Not even a season ago, she could not tolerate her presence. Yet now they were proper wives. Lisa squeezed. Leaned forward and stole a kiss.

"Hello, happy ladies. What can this old timer offer you—"

"Skewers! Gobo, please." Vanessa said. Cutting the female vendor off after leaving Lisa's mouth.

"Yes. We are running out of special meat. So they are more expensive than normal. They are sixteen silver pennies—"

"Ow. But I love them!" Vanessa moved her hips to the side. It was nothing much. It came naturally to her. However, Lisa got to experience what Blaze and Aizel were talking about. The vendor's eyes went wide. Staring. Not even at her body. Just into her eyes. After a brief moment, she came back to reality and spoke.

"Yes. Please, forgive me. I'm sure the coming raid will restock my supply. For you, Dame Huntress. They are eight silver pennies."

'What— How!?'

"Lis. Do we even have pennies?"

Lisa reached into her satchel and felt out the bundle of coins she carried. Aizel left them with some silver before leaving. The smallest coin she pulled out was a full silver. Enough for five skewers. She gave it to Vanessa without saying anything.

"Give me three and keep the change… Well. I want two. Do you want more than one, Lis?"

Lisa shook her head. She knew Vanessa was bad at math. Right now. Lisa did not know if she was being charitable or if she really did not know how much she had lost there.

"Oh, thanks. May our mother Moon smile upon you this night." The vendor gave them their food with her blessing.

Vanessa took the skewers. Devouring them as if she had not just eaten before their arrival in town. Giving Lisa her own almost as an afterthought.

"Because your weenie-limp paw for a brain will not be alive in a few days! That's why bitch face—"

A man came crashing. Falling in front of them after sliding off a table outside a tavern they were walking by. They just stared. Vanessa kept cutely eating her skewer as the man tried to get up. Failing and falling back down.

"Go stuff your lard ass with mandragora, maybe you would scream less if—"

A second man came crashing. Also sliding over a table. Landing upside down at their feet.

They turned towards the source of the commotion. There was someone who fit a description Aizel had given them from one of his escapades.

"~Lis. Is thatthewere-leopard?" Vanessa whispered.

Lisa shrugged. It would be surprising if it wasn't. There were few Mithril ranks. And fewer Leopard kin in this part of the empire; they usually lived more to the East. So, the chances of them coming across a different mithril rank white were-leopard were almost none.

"I told both of you. Not to go through the forest! What part of it's infested with sub-humans was not clear? Don't come and blame me for your stupidity. You either pay up. Or pay up." The leopard woman roared as she walked outside of the tavern.

Lisa joined Vanessa and just kept eating her own skewer. There were not a lot of sources of entertainment going around. This was a welcome distraction.

"~Aiz is right. She's really hot. But I don't see him going for the aggressive type." Vanesa whispered without taking her eyes off the action.

Lisa turned towards her. "~Have you ever looked at your reflection, love?"

"~I'm notthataggressive."

The were-leopard stepped close to the men. They were still struggling to get on their feet, as if they had one too many brews.

She was not bad-looking. Well. There was yet a single female besides her mom that Lisa would not like to see bent over for her lover. All she could think about was Aizel stretching the porcelain-skinned were-leopard in front of her, taming her while they cheered along. The real question was. Was this woman beating the night out of this man worthy of something more? Or was she simply another cum-vessel for Aizel?

"I won't repeat myself. Either you pay, or I will (Bind) you right here and sell you to the first slaver that crosses my sight."

"~Can she do that?" Vanessa whispered-asked.

Lisa Shrugged. They needed more information about what had transpired between the parties to make any kind of call. As it stood. It was the were-leopard's word against the men. However, being a Mithril rank afforded her a lot of freedoms. She was two ranks above Redvelia's own Hunter Master. Sigil was gold and not a platinum-rank like other Guild Leaders. And even if that was the case, she would still be one rank above him.

"We lost—"

"I don't care what you lost! I told you not to—"

"You did not do such a thing!"

"Huh." There was not much of a conversation going on. Or context given. Lisa was already losing interest in them, and chose not to care about whatever they were going on about. Simply focusing on the woman. She was taller than Lisa. However, there was something that was not right. She looked strong. But not Mithril strong.

Lisa had seen only a few Mithril-rank Hunters during her life and travels. However, every single one of them had an undeniable presence; the only people that Lisa would even attribute that to could be counted on one hand. Her father, the Grand Priest, and Aizel. Two Adamant and their husband.

As it stood. This had to be one of the weakest Mithril-rank she had even come across.

"~Doesn't she seem… weak?" Lisa asked.

It was not the best moment to ask that. Because one of the men chose to sprint away without looking back. The woman chuckled. Before the man could get away, she shifted her weight onto one leg, pressing down into the floor and launching herself with an explosive movement, landing a knee on the man's spine.

"Ugh…" Everyone watching grimaced in unison. It was a nasty hit that could disable someone for life or require the aid of restoration magic to fix.

Vanessa turned towards Lisa and smiled.

Lisa rolled her eyes. "Please. Any Gold-rank brute I've seen can do that."

"Well, I'm technically gold and I can't— …"

Vanessa tried to argue but trailed off mid-sentence. She must have forgotten for a moment how deadly she had become after their bind, because she shut up without trying to finish her argument. Just giggling while stuffing her face once again.

"Do we go talk to her?" Vanessa asked with a mouth full of goblin meat.

Lisa glanced at the man still on the floor. Then at her side. The other one was still being beaten into paying the woman. "No… We can wait for when she calms down."

"Vanessa!" The voice of a man called from behind.

"Hm? Oh Hi… Silver." Vanessa probably failed to remember the name of the poor man coming towards them.

"Huh. I've never seen him before." Lisa said while looking up. As if that action would help her remember. She had seen a lot of faces come and go when she was working for the temple, and had a good memory for hunters. But this man was not someone she could recall. It was probably someone new who came for the raid.

"Yeah. He's a guy from…" Vanessa narrowed her eyes, most likely trying to remember the name of the poor man in front of her.

"~Did you fuck him?" Lisa whispered-teased with the same question Aizel used to annoy her with. Biting her lip and wiggling her eyebrows like Valerie liked to do when she was teasing someone.

"~What? Ew. No. I don't recall the name of the town. I was just there for a few days when I left home. But… This one had a thing for me."

"Hey… Sorry to come up and meet you like this. Is just that I overheard people asking about you. Something about a blood mage?"

Vanessa turned towards Lisa with a raised brow. It was not a secret. But it was also not common knowledge that she was a blood mage.

"Could they be referring to Aiz?" Vanessa asked.

— — —

Redvelia — Lazy Hunter's tavern.

Vanessa still had some admirers after marrying. One of them had just left them and went on a self-imposed mission. It was a misguided mission based on an assumption. One they did not correct.

"And there he goes," Lisa said as she watched the Silver-rank hunter they still did not know the name of go out the tavern's door.

"Do you think Aizel will go for it?" Vanessa asked as she drank some Honey-brew.

Lisa was in love with this woman. She looked majestic as she cutely bounced in her seat to the beat of the drum some drunk bard was playing.

"It will take some convincing. You know I don't mind. But what do you think?" Lisa asked.

"Hmm… What do I think?" Vanessa turned pensive and kept bouncing from side to side. "I kind of want to see him fuck her. But it's not lewd. Is more curiosity than anything else."

"Curiosity 'bout what?"

"Well… From what he's told us. He has never been with a woman aside from us three and Kira. I don't know about you, but as much as I love to tease him, I don't have that much experience with men, not as much as a whore, at least. So, if he can make her scream… It's kind of the same thing that you like? The whole validation through power, or in this case. Sexual prowess."

Lisa had to agree to that. "My experience is limited to little dicks." She said without shame. Vanessa raised her eyebrows, but said nothing, prompting her to continue. "I… Loved to entice the weakest men at the temples I visited. There was something really alluring about having them be all over me, always eager to give it their all to please me. Failing miserably"

Vanessa sipped her drink, still not speaking and inviting her to continue. Lisa bit her lower lip. "So. You can imagine what going from weaklings to Aizel was for me. He must have believed that I was some kind of experienced woman, and went insane on our first night."

"That I remember." Vanessa finally spoke.

Lisa gawked at her. "You said you didn't hear!"

"Well, I didn't lie? I think I've never lied in your presence. But I heard enough. You began screaming as if he was stabbing you at some point; that made me stab my bedroll and stuff my ears with wool."

"Were you jealous?" Lisa teasingly asked.

"You know the answer to that, bitch."

They kept making small talk while they waited to see if Vanessa's admirer had any luck. It was not in vain, since the man came back not long after with a party of hunters following him.

"Uh!—Fancy." Vanessa said as she looked at the incoming group.

They were four males following a beautiful were-fox woman. She might take the title for most exotic beauty in the northern part of the empire. Her skin tone was the same as Vanessa's, but her hair was blue. It was something that many women liked to fake with alchemy, but it always carried a noticeable mana footprint not present in the woman walking towards their table. There was simply no hiding that kind of thing from angel senses.

Vanessa and Lisa's noses were assaulted by her smell. And it was quite the smell. She carried within herself the scent of at least four different males. Normally that would be enough to tell her to fuck off and stay as far away from their man as possible. However. It was nothing his skills could not remove.

"Hello!" The were-fox woman said when she was beside their table.

"Hi. Thanks, Silver. We would like some privacy. I hope that is not offensive given how you did us this favor." Lisa said, because Vanessa would have to call him by his name if she were to dismiss him.

"Not at all! It was a pleasure seeing you again, Vanessa." The man waved his hand. Vanessa smiled at him and waved back. He went away without saying anything after that. As much as Lisa wanted to tease Vanessa because a man she had met only once, many winters ago, was still infatuated with her. But there was something more on the table that no teasing could beat.

"Please take a seat, Miss…"

"Nadia." The were-fox said.

"Hello, Miss Nadia. My name is Lisa, and this one right here is my wife, Vanessa."

Nadia took a seat at Vanessa's side while facing her. The other hunters were quite well behaved and waited for them to invite them to take a seat. They all carried gold tags; none of them were vassals. So they must have earned them the traditional way. That sight was rare in Redvelia, but it was becoming more common as the siege-raid approached and more people flooded into town.

"So… I was told you knew a blood mage," Nadia said.

Vanessa was staring at the woman with so much intensity that she almost drooled. So Lisa spoke up. "Yes, we do know of a couple. Why are you looking for a blood mage in particular? The only reason that hunters look for them is their strength. I can see that your party is a strong one, but if you are looking for another member. I'm afraid we can't help you."

Nadia slowly nodded as she heard her while biting her lip. "I can't deny that having one in our party would be pretty nice. But no. That is not the main reason that I'm looking for one. I wanted to offer my services to them… Is she…" She trailed off while looking at Vanessa. Her mana senses must be quite acute if she could tell she was a blood-mage. Vanessa was not using any skill. And her aura did not randomly roar like Aizel's.

"Yes. She is. But I assume you meant you wanted to offer your services to a male. Right?"

"Yes…" Nadia did not look ashamed at the implication; if anything, she looked quite impatient.

"There is just one problem with that. Miss Nadia." Vanessa said.

"And that is…"

"He will never pay you for your services. We are his wives. And we're still missing one. So he's not in need of that kind of thing. You are beautiful, but he's not the type of man who will throw silver at you because of that. We were talking and… We will need to convince him. Heh. If anything he will probably charge you."

Nadia did not reply right away and was giving the issue some thought. Lisa chose that brief pause to give her an alternative. "If you really require payment. There are other things that he might want to do for you."

"Like what?" She asked. Her ears twitched cutely, and her tail lazily wagged behind her. It was not like the overexcited tail movements from the were-dogs or the stoic ones from were-wolves.

"He can use purify and restore." Vanessa said while giving Lisa a look that she supposed meant 'don't reveal more.' Lisa did not know if that was her way to negotiate or protect their secrets. Nevertheless, she shut up.

"Holy gremlin." One of the gold hunters with her spoke up. "Is he a healer?"

"When he needs to," Vanessa said.

There was no need to ask more of the were-fox woman. They both knew why she was looking for a blood-mage. Just like dragons. It was a known thing among those who looked for specific things. Either she wanted to taste him, or simply be fucked.

Lisa saw Aizel's aura flying directly into town. She was so used to it that they could both feel him even inside the inn. He was going right into the Hunter's Guild training yard. He and Valerie were probably using the cover of night to not draw any attention to them. Or simply forgot that was something that scared most people. Not that they cared that much.

"Well, why don't we go and see if he's interested?" Lisa said.

"He probably dropped off some gobos for the formation training! He will go to Kira's house next! Let's go!"

Vanessa didn't say anything else and ran with haste directly at him. Probably not wanting to let Valerie or Kira get the upper hand and have the first few rounds of the night before her. Lisa wanted to say that Aizel would most likely already be fucking them by the time they reached him, and that rushing would probably not help her.

"We will discuss it with our husband, Miss Nadia. We will wait for you in the Hunter's Guild yard in the morning to give you his response." Lisa took her time to say her goodbyes to Nadia and her party. The prospect of her husband bringing an experienced whore as beautiful as the were-fox to her knees was too good to pass up.

— —

She was proven right. As soon as she entered the living room, Lisa was met with the image of her husband being treated—and behaving—like a King.

How had he gotten himself in that position in the short time it took her to return from the inn was one of Geas' great mysteries.
