Name: Aizel Kadashi | Age: 19 | Level: 32
Title: Gold-rank Hunter (S-)
SE: 0 | HP: 525
Race: Crimson Were-Dragon
Bonded Souls: Lisa Kadashi, Vanessa Kadashi
「 Late Night, of his 30st day on Geas. 」
The monster gathering was not where the guild had informed him. It was thirty clicks north of it. But it was still in a zone that he had scouted before because it was between the border of what he now knew was the beginning of The Death Plains. It was still a forest with valleys. But it had nice plains around, and many more water sources nearby, even a large lake west of it.
That lake would be perfect for a little town or a Hunter camp. He was now an airborne creature, so he only looked for hills and mountains to make his shelters back in his monk days.
'Though a fort would also work. It's too far for normal people to do quick trips… So its construction would be difficult and expensive. All the materials would need to be brought via rings, and the camp for the workers heavily defended; this is still shaman-land.'
To call it dangerous was an understatement; he would not even recommend a full Mithril squad to go walking near that shit. Even he would have a hard time leaving a dent on the monster rave if he went berserk on them.
There were thousands of Goblinoids, Serptiloids, Wolfoids, and a fuck fest of whatever the ones that look like chimeras and flying creatures were called.
The gathering area was five clicks across. As soon as a monster or large predator like Dire wolves entered it. They went around to find a spot to just chill; there was some kind of world aura entering from time to time. He assumed it was what kept them alive while lazing around, or slowly turned them into dungeon creatures.
It was located on an elevated plain with a small river that came from the lake he saw to the west. The caves that were reported were within the trance area of five clicks. Three small mounds with entrances had groups of Orcs and even Ogres of all kinds, just chilling inside as they had just smoked the best weed in two realms.
'Yeah, that shit was not there before.'
In the middle of the plain, there was a smaller area that had a giant egg at least the size of a sedan standing up. It was swallowing the world mana, or whatever it was called, like Vanessa swallowed cunt juice or Lisa his cum.
He could see it clearly even from high up in the sky, so he was sure that it was not there before; it was like a black hole for mana and not easy to miss. The dungeon egg also looked like an actual black hole, but without the event horizon, just a two-dimensional egg standing straight and floating about a Valerie from the ground.
But it was three-dimensional; it was just like Vantablack, where the lack of features made it look like it was flat. It was pretty amazing too, because it looked like that on all of the spectrums of energy he could see and sense.
All day and well into the night, he had been getting closer to the trance area. Memorizing everything he could from the air and going back down to take notes and make drawings and maps, he had almost all he needed when he saw it.
'Oni.'
The creatures were different shades of blue. And they sweated iridescent mana as he had never seen before. They were hard to watch during daytime, and because of the large gathering, it also got lost with the others, but once he saw it, it was pretty clear that this creature was as strong as or stronger than him.
They had the classic look of a goblin. Jacked body and dense like a chimp. But they were more shredded and had either one horn on their foreheads or two on their temples. They were white and the size of his hand—so big for a goblinoid—but puny compared to his own horns that were two times their size and had a triangular cross-section unlike their round ones.
'Am I really comparing horns with them?'
There were twenty of those. Once he tuned his (Detect) to their frequency, they had slight variation between themselves. But it was like trying to find a hobgoblin in a group of goblins; once he knew what to look for, it was easy to do.
He had enough intel to come back. There was no Yōkai in the mix, no matter how hard he looked; the problem was that apparently the resistance to the trance was not exclusive to the kings, like the Dwarf had hypothesized.
After he got too close to the trance zone. An Oni turned towards him and immediately used (Teleport), crossing two and a half clicks in an instant, getting behind him, already slashing at him with a great sword that it wielded in a single hand.
He immediately put up a (Barrier) reinforced with (Harden).
"Dragon meat. I smell females, two. No, three… four? Hhm. You shall guide; I like smell, strong… Angels." The Oni said calmly, unlike his kin who always acted like twitching crackheads.
'At least he is no longer baby dragon, or him wanting to rape me. But him threatening my women… He's lucky I made a promise.'
An army of iridescent hands surrounded Aizel and restrained him. He wanted to see him use (Teleport) again before trying to kill him or run away, and did not want to reveal his skills right away, so he prepared himself to go all out in a single move.
"Talk. And I will kill you before I eat you. Or not, and it will be reversed."
"P' P' Please, Mister Oni, sir. Dragon meat tastes bad? And angels are salty individuals."
Sniff "You lie."
"Can you smell my lies, Mister Onini?"
"You don't smell of fear, even in my grasp."
"I mean, it's kind of nice; you are even giving me a massage and all."
"I shall follow smell instead; waste of my time with an idiot no more."
"Can I ask you a question before you eat me, good sir?"
"What?"
"Do you know what that weird thing behind you is? I think it's called Yookáii?"
"HM!?" The Oni immediately turned around.
'Heh, Fucking idiot'
Aizel used (Focus) and began to deconstruct the skill the Oni was using to keep both of them in the air. The aura was locked in the sky by straight anchors, like a sea urchin; it was a combination of constructs of (Condensate) that bridged the world mana to the creature without becoming fully physical.
〔 Notice: Complex skill usage detected.
► Complex Active Skill (Anchor) Acquired. 〕
'Nailed it.'
"Magikas Fi— hmhm…" Just as he was about to use system-talk, an iridescent mana hand muted him.
'Seriously!? The one time I try to system-talk outside of fucking…'
(Finalize)
All the skills that the Oni was using were cut off for a fraction of a second, releasing him and sending the creature falling to the ground.
"Dam, he's a heavy one."
Thump!-Thump!-Thump!
Suddenly, the one falling and two used (Teleport) and were already slashing at him.
"Fuck!"
The skill was too fast for him to deconstruct; he would need to overcharge (Focus) to make sense of it, but Lisa would have his balls if his HP fell too much.
He pulled his resonant daggers from his ring and shot them at the three Oni, while placing reinforced barriers around him.
The Oni used their own (Barrier), but the daggers pierced right through them just like Pops' fancy sword did his constructs. One of the Oni died on the spot, getting both of its eyes pierced all the way to its brain.
Another one managed to (Teleport) away. The first one was using (Sharpen) on its sword and deflected his attack at the expense of the sword's integrity. Sending his daggers flying away from the backlash. While disrupting the (Doppelgänger) hands carrying them.
"Those are worth a week's wage, you know? It's a whole goblin crystal!"
The other Oni came back by teleporting to Aizel's back and was slashing downward with a sword that also had an iridescent (Sharpen). It got a (Spectral Missile) to the face that even stunned the dagger thief. He protected himself with (Barrier) and (Harden), so he almost did not feel a thing from the explosion.
"Rwa!"
Aizel used (Infuse) and one of Pops' principles to attach his own (Anchor) to the one that was crying for some reason, and immediately flew downwards towards the plains below before any other Oni joined the party.
He caught the falling body of the dead one and stored it on his ring.
Aizel touched down soon after and waited for the Oni.
Thump!-Thump!
'Three times? How much mana do these fuckers have!?'
He locked one of them in place with (Telekinesis), (Doppelgänger), and (Anchor); then he sent more daggers to it, while he pulled Gokira and used (Barrier) and (Harden) to block the incoming swipe from the second Oni.
"Magikas Fi~ Hmhm!" The first Oni tried to mess with the daggers he sent its way, but Aizel had just learn a new trick from him, or one his brothers, he lost track of which one was the first one to attack.
It also got the eye skewer treatment through its barriers. It died so fast. The third one had barely started to retreat its Great Sword for a second slash when Aizel stored its body and weapon to keep its kin company on the ring.
'They have nice tattoos though… and they sweat mana through them; this grants investigation later, maybe they have some for humans.'
"~I did not need to waste that much HP on the large pup, huh."
"What?" The Oni asked.
"Oh, sorry, I was just thinking out loud."
"I will kill you and take the Angels!"
"Oh so it, was you? You really fucked up… I was going to just leave, but then you had to threaten the only two women that I hold dear in two worlds."
Thump!
The Oni used (Teleport) to put itself right into a slashing position in front of him, showing a much greater degree of creativity than its kin.
'Maybe it's a distance thing? That's just way too much.'
Aizel had enough of the thing. He took Gokira and swung it with his skills to maximize the force, while using (Finalize) to remove the (Sharpen) from the Oni's sword, followed by (Shatter). Destroying the blade that was already damaged as the two pieces of metal met.
'Fuck! That was probably good silver too… How the fuck did they even learn (Teleport) and (Sharpen) in the first place?'
He used the flying pieces of metal to create a path for (Discharge) much faster than normal, and fried the Oni's brain from within in a single massive red bolt of lightning.
〔 Level: 32 ► 42 | SE: 0 ► 10 〕
'It's a multiple of five, not of three; how the fuck does it work? Good thing I left some wiggle room; I'm past my comfortable limit, no more exploiting for a bit.'
Aizel stored the body and flew low and fast. Going west for fifty clicks. Then south. And finally went to the girls by using (Monitor). It had never stopped giving him their direction; it just dimmed out the further away he was. He remembered the little fire that he left in the distance over the mountains to locate his shelter.
'I was probably telling the truth when I called them my home.'
Aizel had used a lot of HP to fly around, and during the fight, he already only had a fourth left, so he hoped Lisa showed mercy.
'If the rest had swarmed, I would have had to run earlier, and who knows for how long they might have chased me; one more Oni would be pushing it already…
A Yōkai can probably fuck me up, and I am close to the limit of the SE I can exploit… Money is not an issue, but I can't live in fear of others. More skills? No more skills to exploit—easy, basic skills that I can drain as the girls drain me.'
I did not manage to test (Harden) to break the sound barrier. But I'm already pushing it with my promise. I did not look for the fight. But I could not let them sniff me out and come for the girls.'
— — —
He arrived at the camp past midnight. What he had failed to take into account was that Lisa was monitoring his HP all the time, so she almost had a heart attack when she suddenly saw that he lost a huge chunk when he engaged the Oni. He had not gotten hurt. But she could not know that.
"You said you would not fight!"
"The Oni could use (Teleport) and resist the Trance of the dungeon; they jumped me from over two and a half clicks away. They smelled me and knew I was with angels; I had to take them out."
Lisa did not respond and hugged him, crying her eyes out.
"I'm sorry, my love. I could probably have pulled out of the mission earlier; I got confident that even the kings of the Serpents were entranced, and that there was no Yōkai in sight."
"Serptiloid Kings," Lisa said from his chest.
"What?"
"They are called Serptiloid Kings, not 'kings of the Serpents'." She said.
He was about to say to her that it was a stretch to correct him on that one, but her smile betrayed her teasing.
"I love you, Lisa."
"True."
"And I love you, Aizel." Vanessa came and hugged him from behind.
"I love both of you. And I know I don't say it enough… Let's go to the table; that shit was no joke. Please tell me that this is normal."
—
"Yes, it's pretty standard from what I've read and heard. It's larger than anticipated. And it's not underground. This will probably call for the construction of a fort around it, once the monsters get inside… But it's outside of the empire. So it will be harder. And most will not even want to claim it. And it will probably be centered around flying creatures with some others thrown in between. The Goblinoids are outliers. Shame there was no Yōkai." Lisa explained and shrugged.
"What!? Did you miss the part where it took me around 100 HP to kill each Oni?"
"That's not what I meant. If there was one, it would be created over and over again when someone kills them inside; they are really hard to find this close to civilization. They are probably none in the north for a really long stretch, at least."
"Do we return tonight or in the morning?" Vanessa asked in a sultry tone, already leading him to their little nest on the plateau.
"We can leave before dawn, come, my loves."
— — —
「 Morning, of his 31st day on Geas. 」
Unlike what Aizel was expecting, the girls gave him a slow night of passion instead of the ravaging ritual of the night before. It was what all three of them needed after getting spooked by the Oni.
They left after sunrise. (Restore) could help them alleviate the fatigue from not sleeping much, but in reality they had slept the same as they usually did; it was just the tension from the mission that had them on edge.
Redvelia was filled with caravans that were still arriving from the south gate. It was funny to him. Because in his mind, the wagons with goods just appeared inside the village from time to time. Since every normal person used the south gate, and only hunters and weirdos like him did not.
"Did you see that fucking line of snails riding slugs?" Aizel asked.
"Pfff hahaha!"
"And they will keep coming until Autumn at least; sometimes they even pick up the pace and keep arriving for another month after Summer, instead of waiting for the next season. But yeah, it's at least double the usual for Redvelia." Vanessa said.
They went to the guild so Aizel could report back after forty minutes of flying at a comfortable speed. They would ask Blaze later when it would be better to sell the Oni, or if they could get a better deal in another town, since those were exceptionally rare. With the exception of the ones found in Dungeons. But the bodies of those behave weirdly since they were some kind of clone or product of the dungeon after the original one was slain.
He simply did not know enough about this realm dungeon's inner workings, and would need to ask Pops whenever they saw each other again.
'Thank the heathen gods for Lisa, my stupid ass for brain is regretting not taking the whole 20 fuckers, as if I was not already at my HP limit. The level up alone would have fucked my soul in the middle of the horde.'
They arrived at the Guild, and Kira looked like she wanted to jump on him right away, but she was a professional woman, and they were probably the only ones who noticed her reaction, and Seth.
"H-Hunter Aizel, do I notify the Hunter Master?" Kira asked.
"Yeah, I got his stuff. But first, please take this quill back to the Joint store. I'm still creeped out by it; the fucking thing's worth a few Oni and some Ogre's perfect bodies."
"All right. Please wait over there; I will bring you up when he's ready."
— — —
"You crazy fucker." The Dwarf said once Aizel took a seat and browsed the book.
"Thanks."
"It's within reported and expected growth ranges, nothing abnormal… Harploid dungeon, with Goblinoids, Wolfoids. And Serptiloid…" The Dwarf master started to smile more and more after the mention of each new monster kin.
'Monster fetish?'
"You know I'm kind of an idiot… would you kindly explain to me what's so good about it for you to look as if you were staring at Lisa's ass?" - 'Yeah, I noticed, dude. And I can't blame you.'
Thump! The Dwarf smile like a crazy man would and stroke his desk.
'I need to get me a bed with a frame guarded like that shit, you know, for the gals.'
"The Sun and the Moon smile upon us, Aizel!"
"Kind of hard to see the sun smile, but ok, I'll bite. ~Why?"
"This is the perfect combination for a dungeon! No Yōkai to fuck everyone in a single hit, Oni riding Winged Basilisks! Medusa and Cyclops born from the Serptiloid and Goblinoid! Furred Goblinoids from the Wolfoid! And we have the easiest access to the construction of the fort to maintain it! Ha!-Haha!!… You know the best part!? I will probably be replaced by a higher rank, and can finally go hunting!!"
'That part I get, with nothing better to do here than fucking, reading, or killing.'
"Sure… So can I report something important?"
"Huh! …Go ahead. What's on your mind?"
"Yeah… don't let anyone get close until the Oni get inside, or the dungeon… hatches? They can resist the trance and can use (Teleport) to reach two and a half clicks away—at the least—while attacking, and can't silent cast it consecutively. They carry shitty Great Swords, and some can use (Sharpen) on their edge.
Also… ah, they can system-talk 'Magikas Finalis,' and have an advanced version of (Mana Hand) that they use for kinky bondage foreplay."
"…"
"It's on the report, but I think it should take priority. Three of the fuckers attacked me in the air, and they can use (Anchor) to remain in the air… Soo, yeah. No one below Adamant should engage them. At least they do not have a raging erection all the time, and seem kind of nice; they just eat you without tweaking out."
"Good thing you escaped."
"Yeah…"
"…"
"You escaped the first chance you got, right?"
"…"
"Get out."
— — —
"So, here is your reward, Hunter Aizel. Congratulations on a successful mission." Kira said and placed a royal coin in his hand.
"Nice. Thanks, Kira. I will see you tonight."
Kira was blushing but kept acting professionally, so he did not push for more. And he had an appointment with a certain raven-haired bundle of thickness that he could smell from inside the building, who was probably training like a good girl in the Guild's yard.
"Hey, Valerie. Zup, you behaved in our absence?"
"Aizel!"
Valerie dropped her wooden practice spear and ran straight at him, crossing the distance as if there was a goblin chasing her. She hugged him, and he caressed her hair for a moment before looking at her.
"How's training treating you?"
"It's been a day cycle, Aizel. Not a winter! I'm just slightly better."
"Yeah, but now you have (Focus)."
"It's hard to train with that one without actually trying to kill something."
"Fair. I like my girls with bloodlust."
The angel duo joined her in the yard to train with their spears. Vanessa passed down his teachings about footwork and breathing to Valerie the same way she had been doing with Lisa when they trained.
Aizel was just reading Zarnandier's teachings to refresh his memory and prepare for Valerie in case she decided to go ahead with her offer. He would not mention it to her since it was spoken during a moment of lust. So it did not count in his mind.
Blaze came from further inside the yard, and Aizel almost choked when he saw him. First because he had entirely forgotten that their dagger-throwing accountant even existed for a moment, and also because even if the man claimed to be slow with women, he had a certain Were-Wolf beauty walking with him.
'Nice! They even look good together; I hope she's not using him to get to me. She kind of lost me with her initial offer. Though, I would still fuck her brains out and knot her mind into another realm if Blaze is into sharing.'
"Sir. Mistress Valerie. I guess your solo mission was a success?"
"Yeah, it was more dangerous than we thought. There was a group of 20 Oni just chilling, and they were mad that I did not bring them weed. But it was a success, and according to the Dwarf, it will bring prosperity to the region, especially our little excrement-smelling town… village, or whatever this backwater shit hole is considered."
"…Twenty Oni?—Mother-Moon—have mercy."
"Yeah, by the way, I know they are worth a lot; even just the crystal is worth like a Royal and a half or around 15 plat. So… I need you to give me a good strategy to sell three bodies. I will just keep the organs needed for custom Health potions and the balls; we can sell the rest. It's not like we need more luxury meat. We're better off not even tasting it until I can fuck them up reliably, or even find them in the first place. - Oh. But know that if the eyes and brains of two are stabbed, the third one's brain is probably just soup now."
"…"
"What?"
"Nothing. I will get used to it, right? I will give you a report. The best will probably be to find a city further south, just not too close to the Imperial capital. Maybe deeper in the Duchy. It will also be advisable to have the boosters and potions made there. Since Silvia is not an official recruit, or can produce custom ones yet."
"I will do my best. I suppose we no longer need to meet later?" Silvia said.
"Hmm… I'm not tired, but I am still regenerating HP, so no Death Valley hunts today. What do you say, team? Do we go to the wilds to see what she can do?"
"I'm ready, sir," Blaze said.
"Yeah, that way we can return to hunting faster, love."
"Same here, love," Lisa said.
"I want to try my spear on something living, so yes, Ai~sir?"
"Heh. Aizir…" Vanessa teased Valerie.
—
The six of them walked to the northern wilds and prepared for a small hunt.
"All right, people. Valerie, you can be carried by either Vanessa or Lisa, but I would recommend Lisa because she has (Swarming Grasp) now, so it will be safer. Silvia, Hug Blaze; I will carry you both with (Doppelgänger)."
Valerie went to Lisa, and she picked her up in a princess carry with the help of her new skill. The sneaky Seraphim groped the thick raven all over the place with it, but since she did not complain or even show a reaction, he let them be.
Blaze and Silvia glanced at each other but did not complain; she was kind of a slut, and he was a normal man who would not complain about it.
"We will head East, to the wilds near the plains, Vanessa, and Lisa, same routine: you climb, start moving, I make you a nice current to follow later. Get ready!"
"Sir!" The five of them replied.
Lisa and Vanessa took off without much trouble; Valerie was really light, so she was not even an issue to carry around.
Aizel tied up the canines once they hugged with rope (Doppelgänger) constructs. He would not be giving Silvia (Focus) until he was sure that she was reliable and not just trying to use Blaze, or the rest of them, more than was expected.
They flew slow to not bother too much the couple, but they found a group of four goblins so fast that they would have to report its sighting and hunt when they came back to the village.
Silvia and Blaze were placed gently on the floor. The goblins were already charging, but by the time they reached the group, they were already done landing and were just restrained on the spot.
"Lisa, I will release one. I want you to try and see if you can restrain it. Silvia, stand behind Valerie - Blaze, with Vanessa. Do not engage until I give the order unless it is to save yourself."
"Sir!"
Aizel released the smallest goblin, and it went directly for Lisa. Four iridescent hands grabbed a limb each.
"How does it feel?"
"Disgusting?" Lisa said.
"I meant, how hard is it to keep it held?"
"Hard. It's draining mana, but I can probably keep it like that for a good moment. The mana hands are stronger than the basic skill and also than me."
"Try to barely hold it in place; imagine you are giving Silvia or Blaze an opening; they will use medium range, and the rest are the Spear-women in close."
"Yes, sir."
"It is so fucking hot coming from you."
Aizel turned to Silvia before beginning her test.
"How many (Mana Bolt) can you use in a single fight?"
"I have the advanced version, (Mana Bullet). I can do it nine times before reaching zero MP. It can kill a goblin in a single shot if it's restrained like that, but it will destroy the brain and probably the eyes depending on where it hits. I can tune it down to (Mana Bolt), but it will just char the skin and make it angry…er."
"Show me."
"Drivate!"
Silvia raised a wooden wand, and an iridescent aura condensed on its tip. It emitted a blue visible glow with a white core before shooting forward; it could be seen traveling, so it was not a "Bullet," but it was still fast. The blood version would probably get closer to the speed of one, and the superior version that he had was like a tracer round.
It landed on the head of the goblin and exploded inside its skull without exploding the head. Lisa stopped using her skill after that.
"And if it wasn't restrained?" He asked.
"Probably with two of those, one to stun it, one to kill it."
Aizel got in front of Lisa before releasing another. "Show me."
"Drivate!"
Silvia said the word once, but swung her hand after the first system-talk without speaking out loud, and a second (Mana Bullet) shot from her wand. The goblin was hit in the hip the first time, and the second shot killed it by striking the head.
"Valerie, Blaze, take care of the rest." Aizel did not wait for their reply and released the last two.
Blaze used (Guide) to sever the neck veins on both sides of one; Valerie used (Push) once she got close to pierce the head of the last one through the eye. Neither one used system-talk.
"Pf. Haha, so this is the power of a gold rank party?" Silvia said.
"You have seen nothing, Silv," Blaze said.
'Huhu. Silv, already? Nasty dog.'
"How many uses do you get out of the wand? It looks a little damaged, and it smoked after the third attack?"
"It's just wood with silver, probably another camp? Like four goblins before it explodes or burns out."
"What's the difference between just casting without one?"
"It makes it easier. I still can, but it is like casting without system-talk, so the cost not only triples without using both, and it's harder to aim."
"But you can get better with practice, right?"
"Well yeah, but I would still like to have at least one in reserve; I feel safer that way."
"Sure, there is no problem with that, and I would still advise it; we might get better ones from the Sun temple—"
"Temple of The Sun" Silvia and Lisa corrected, and were ignored. "Pfff" with Vanessa trying to stifle a laugh.
"—Or the caravans, cities; I want one too, so we might get a better deal. What do you think, Blaze?"
"The Temple of the Moon will probably open soon. It will be better to just get her replacement cheap ones for now, from the other Temple, and wait for them. They will need silver when they open to get their business running, so it will be even better than going to a city for a while, at least a winter. But just her, you will probably only see a difference with a better one, no offence, Silv."
"None taken. Wait, you can use mana bullet?"
"Hm… No?"
Aizel raised his hand and materialized three (Spectral Missile) constructs around his pointed index and middle fingers; they turned on their center and shot forward. Blasting a tree and took part of the trunk, with some leaves falling off.
"Huh, tougher than I thought."
"Show off," Blaze said. Silvia's jaw just hung open, and she was so wet he could probably slide in, knot and all, without issues right there.
"All right. We will take out more camps; well, the three recruits will. Silvia, do you have what you need for going on a hunt tomorrow?"
"Yes, Sir. I'm ready to depart."
"Use today to train recruits; tomorrow's graduation day. At the beginning of Shaman-Land, Deep into the Death Valley. Maybe we come across an Ogre or an Oni, and I can stretch a little."
— — —
「 Dusk, of his 31st day on Geas. 」
The group ended up hunting 16 goblins in total; only Vanessa gained a single level from leeching, since she even pulled out a little chair at some point.
"Here." Aizel gave the recruits four platinum coins each. It was a winter and a season of hunting, or one and a half years of wages for the common snail. The ring of timeless holding really made a difference because they could just take the bodies and get almost full price for them, even after his trio took the same cut.
"So I'm a recruit now?" Silvia asked.
"You were a recruit since we started hunting; I told you already. Tomorrow you come with us to see how you handle a camp once we define a plan of attack and a formation. So I advise you to go rest and wait to celebrate. We will take it slow for a while."
"Slow he says, when he just gave us a winter bounty and then some. I will wait for you at midday then. Bye." Silvia said and went out of the butcher's workshop.
"I will also take my leave, sir. I have business back home, and I would like to get to it soon. After you make that report, the Hunter Master might have some nice gold rank missions."
"Sure, we will wait for you at midday outside of town in front of the north gate. If you take too long, we will leave without you and report you as lost if we can't find you when we come back, since you are a punctual man. See ya."
—
They made the report to Kira and were summoned to the Dwarf's office.
"Hmm. As expected, I will have more gold ranks with this. The caravans departing will need large escorts since the guards they have will not be able to handle the sudden increase in gobo population. This rush will last for a good while, probably until the end of Autumn, or Spring at the latest.
We will need to make a raid around the town before the main one over the shield. It will also work for us to see who has what it takes to participate, given the new hunters that are arriving by the day." The Dwarf said.
"Sure. It will be good practice; maybe we can do it on the night of the seventh day from today. Most new hunters and slugs should have arrived. Then you send out the caravans, and we can do the main raid once the hunters return with gold."
"Exactly. That'll be all, Hunter."
