Race: Crimson Were-Dragon
Bonded Souls: Lisa Kadashi
"And I love you. Lisa"
She did not speak, move, or even blink. She knew how hard it was for him to say that. If he said it, and it was not true, it would tear them apart. Because what started as teasing and fooling around had grown to be something that could not be denied. It happened too fast for him, too slow for her. But now that he finally grabbed his balls and uttered the words, they were the truth.
"I will do it now. We will continue your training after I'm back. Go to the camp"
She cried. Lisa knew how dangerous offensive complex skills were. And could not bear seeing the embodiment of her fetishes, her fantasies, both sexual and filial. Become paste in slow motion in front of her eyes. But she needed to stay, for them. She told him as much.
"… I will see this though" Lisa said, and he did not oppose.
He turned into his full dragon form, but before activating the skill, he paused.
'Do I even need the wings for this?'
He removed his wings and jumped from the mound. He used (Focus) to align himself; he looked into the distance as he fell, aiming for the sky.
(Fire Howl)
Aizel activated the skill below him and instantly shot upwards. He had to place a couple of (Barrier) in front of his eyes and below his feet; this time his Draconian nature was not enough to save them from the air. As he moved upwards, he discovered that he—in fact—needed his wings.
Like a rocket without fins, or an arrow without fletching, every little movement he made altered his course.
He used the smaller version, the ones that were the same size as his human arms and Lisa's wings. He almost passed out when he did a turn to travel horizontally instead of straight up. (Focus) being also a passive skill saved him again, as he managed to activate a barrier over his whole body to survive the ever-increasing rate of speed at which he was moving.
'I think the fire gods heard me call it a bitch, fucking wild stuff does as it pleases.'
He felt resistance that he dared not pass. His best guess was that it was the beginnings of his transonic limit. His wings began to vibrate, wanting to break, and no amount of barriers or tricks was helping him stay stable, so he did not push further and slowed down before things became more violent.
In only five minutes, he had crossed over the White Shield. It was around sixty clicks away from the hunting parties, so he guessed that he was right about being at the edge of match speed. His ears were plugged shut, as they were useless at that speed and just hurt.
He was burning HP fast. So he turned around and in another five minutes was back at the camp. Slowing down before coming close in case there was a sonic boom forming, he doubted it, and he was also flying high, so any sound should have been diminished.
Aizel landed softly; he had used almost 150 HP in that stunt, and he was tired.
"What did you do to her?" A furious Vanessa asked as he walked into the packing joint party.
"Why? What happened?"
"She came into the camp, alone, had signs of crying, and according to Vex, She's been crying alone in the forest by—"
He was in the process of remembering who the fuck Vex was when they heard a shout from the forest.
"Aizel!"
His little angel had been crying and heard him return, so she went running up to him. Apparently, her running speed was not enough for her, so she popped her wings and shot at him, throwing both of them into the dirt and leaving a trail in the dirt that probably fucked up his T-shirt. His scales saved him from getting a nasty rash, but he could not think about that right now because there was a bipolar slutty angel crying in his chest.
"Gee, woman. Is ten minutes the extent of your trust?"
"You stupid Dragon! Who flies like that? You just shot up in the air with a roar and got lost in the distance; all I could hear was some kind of echoing roar that slowly faded away!"
"I told you what would happen, did I not?"
"No! You said you were going to fly fast, ~not become a fucking meteor…"
"That's a little dramatic; a meteor is at least ten times that, maybe if I—"
"Shut up!!"
"Fine…"
He hugged and consoled her in his arms for a while. Argo's brothers were staring at them at first, but quickly got bored and continued packing.
"Em… Si- Aizel, we are ready." Argo approached the couple hugging on the forest floor.
— — —
Lisa had not left Aizel's side all day; not even when he had gone scouting, she had just flown at his side. A nice little side effect was the discovery of how the stream of air left from his flight could be used by her. Allowing her to fly by using less mana. Riding his wake like a little white dolphin following a ship. It worked a little differently than it did for dolphins, or even birds, but there was a clear advantage; it also helped her calm down since her freak-out.
They landed at sunset after the party had traveled all day. Barely stopping at noon to eat, they just really wanted to go back to Redvelia. But they were still like snails to Aizel and Lisa. Especially now that he could sacrifice his HP to arrive in no time. Nevertheless, he needed to convince Lisa that he was not going to crash into the forest floor at almost transonic speeds.
"Aizel…" Vanessa started speaking once she got close. They were sitting while eating by their tent. She had not spoken to them all day. He thought it was because Lisa was being possessive, even after all her talk about power—that sounded like the speech of a closet cuckquean—she clamped her arm to his. Not letting go for most of the day.
Vanessa had been staying away from them, and once she got close, he immediately knew why. Almost at the same time, Lisa and Aizel smelled the air as she approached; they said nothing, but they knew.
"Vex… wants to spar with you," Vanessa said timidly.
"Pff. Ha!" Lisa spat out her bread and started to laugh out loud; it was nice, finally seeing her be at ease again.
"Am… who's Vex again?" Aizel asked. And he was sincere; he only knew Argo's name because he needed to. The rest he had given them names in his own mind: there was musket-man, accountant guy, butcher, creepy breath, and husky, her old ass boyfriend.
'He's not that old… I think.'
"He's…" Vanessa looked at him funny to see if he was joking. Which he wasn't.
"Her boyfriend. ~Silly Dragon," Lisa said while raising her eyebrows up and down a few times.
"Oh! Sure, call him; I wanted to try something out." He said.
Vanessa paused and did not move, and Lisa even stopped chewing. After all they had seen from him in the around two days they had known him, it was really not good to hear him say that, especially after knowing how he did not even remember the name of the guy.
"What… do you want to try?" A scared Lisa asked.
"You know how you can tell the age of trees by counting their rings?" He said as he assumed a thoughtful expression.
"What!?" Vanessa exclaimed.
"You're not cutting him open," Lisa stated.
"I mean, do you think I could tell by the layers of fat?" Aizel teased.
"He's 32," Lisa said.
Vanessa and Aizel turned towards her.
"What?" Lisa asked.
"Why do you know that?" They asked in unison and gave a brief glance at each other.
Vanessa was probably scared of her system reading skill, and Aizel was just jealous by nature.
"I know most of the details from most of the silver ranks in Redvelia. I conducted rank-up interviews when some moved from bronze to silver. The Guild Master is even stingier than Aizel and did not want to rent a truth-seeking crystal from the Temple. So he just called me for half the price." Lisa explained, before biting her bread again.
"Why does he want to spar, though? Did he not see the pile of dead goblins?" Aizel said.
"Pride," Vanessa stated.
"Listen. I'm not going to lie to you." He gave a glance at Lisa, and she nodded. "I'm really happy for you."
"~Thew." Lisa nodded and spoke with a mouthful of bread.
"I truly want you as a friend and ally, even for future missions, even if you bring him with us."
"~Threw. Gulp…" Lisa nodded again and audibly swallowed, just to immediately stuff herself again.
"But the mixed smell of you and him inside of you is driving me insane. And I am fighting my instinct to beat the shit out of him and pounce on you as he watches, just because I can. Not because I'm jealous, and I am a jealous man."
"Damn! That's hot, please do!… also true…" Lisa said.
"We really need another angel, just to tell if you are joking," Aizel said to Lisa.
"So, I do not think a spar is the best Idea…" Aizel finished.
"And I agree, but he's being insufferable," Vanessa said.
"You have dated for a single day, and you are already having issues?" Aizel asked with narrow eyes.
"That's my fault…" Vanessa said.
"True." Lisa nodded, and Vanessa gave her a glare.
"I was just saying. I am not asking you why; it is not my place to get between you two." Aizel said.
"True," Said Lisa. And this time Vanessa was furious for some reason.
"Can you stop?" Vanessa asked her.
"Yes," Lisa told her.
'She can; she won't, I bet my salt cube.' Aizel thought.
"I may have screamed your name while… you know…" Vanessa confessed. Aizel just raised his eyebrows at her; he found that detail extremely hot. But before he could process his own feelings on the matter, he won the bet with himself and owed himself another salt cube.
"True."
"Bitch, stop!" Vanessa yelled.
Husky came from the back, as Aizel had already forgotten the pour man's name.
"So, you're in?" Husky asked.
"Am… Vox! What's up! So, why… no. I know why. You do know you are wasting your time, right? I'm too proud to let you win, especially with my girl watching."
"Hand-to-hand," Vox replied.
'Bitch! I fought in a cage—for a decade—to pay for college!' Aizel thought.
"And the name is Vex, not Vox," Not-Vox said with a growl.
"Sorry, sorry. I'm bad with names, man." Aizel tried to apologize; unfortunately, Lisa wanted to play.
"You said that backwards. It's: I'm bad with 'man' names. You remembered my name and Kira's. And all you could say was: Vanessa this, Vanessa that. When you were browsing the contraceptives before your mission alone with her." Lisa said, in a surprising display of verbal dexterity that managed to be entirely true, all while implying things that were clearly not, pissing off Vex, and still making Vanessa wet.
"What? Is the baby dragon afraid of the old dog?"
"Alright… let's do this," Aizel said. Ever since meeting the Goblinoids and being called that, under threat of rape, he hated that handle.
He stood up and walked to the center of the camp, undoing all of his armor with (Poltergeist) to show off.
"What do I get?" Aizel asked.
"What?" Vex asked back.
The Argo brotherhood started to murmur and began to make a circle around them. Lisa got a premium place and the queen treatment, as all the males gave her the best spot and seat. Vanessa leached off her, and being the only other girl around, also got a good seat. And she was also hot as fuck.
They were simple wooden chairs that folded, surprisingly enough, but in the wild, that was a luxury he would annihilate entire goblin bloodlines for, three days ago.
"You are the challenger, and nothing in this world has been given to me for free… well, almost nothing." Aizel began to talk and glanced at the girls, winking at them. Making sure Vanessa was also in sight so Vex could think whatever his canine brain wanted; an angry enemy got tired fast; an angry enemy is easy to read.
'What am I doing? I can just use (Focus). There's no need to rile him up—'
"You want me to pay you for the privilege of fighting you!?" Vex interrupted Aizel's thoughts, to his own detriment.
"No. ~I want you to pay me for the lessons you are about to receive." Aizel growled.
"Name it!" Vex screamed-growled back.
"Hmm. That." Aizel had his arms crossed and just pointed at Vanessa.
"I left her on a silver platter, and yet you are not man enough to keep her, so I want her back," Aizel growled.
'I wanted to piss him off real good because he interrupted my dinner, but his smell alone is making me say shit I don't fully mean.'
"True!" The stupid angel screamed back. And earned herself a hard slap on the head from Vanessa.
'And there goes my argument… Good girl, Vanessa. Spank that slut.'
"And if I win, I'm taking the Angel!" Vex growled.
'I should've just said no… Now that idiot with a personality disorder is—'
"I accept!" Lisa screamed.
'Called it'
The murmuring crowd started to actually get quite into it; having no threat of goblins or predators nearby had turned them back into the Redvelian savages they were, from the scared group of snails he found.
The fact that he and Lisa massacred a bus worth of goblins, and then dined on their meat was probably also at fault, but that alone should deter Vux from behaving this way.
'Did the meat do something to us?… I'm also feeling a little savage… I would blame the dragon blood if it wasn't also affecting the others.'
His mind was old enough to know when his brain was not in the right place; he knew his body and mind; old age would do that to you. Aizel knew there was something different the moment he did not react to killing a goblin for the first time. Even if his life was on the line at the time, he should have felt something. And then he even started to enjoy it.
'If I had listened to the Nerd's advice earlier to consume monster meat, I would already have my answer.'
"Okay, people. It’s clear that these two have some unresolved issues," Argo assumed the role of referee.
'I was eating my dinner in peace when he started it!'
"But we know what Aizel is capable of. So rules must be established. First and the most important one. No killing. I do not care if you are a dragon that can kill all of us. We are hunters first, and we care for each other. If you can't follow that simple rule, then kill us all and go live with the beasts."
"Secondly, no racial manifestations, skills, spells, potions, artifacts, boosters, or blessings allowed." He looked at Lisa with that last one.
'Can that slut give out blessings?'
"Third, the fight ends when one of the fighters can no longer stand, yields, or I stop it. No questions. If I say 'Stop,' you stop. Am I clear?"
"Yes, sir." Vox Said.
Aizel nodded and assumed his MMA stance.
Aizel took off his shirt and threw it to the girls. Earning himself a lot of hype from Lisa, a blushing facepalm from Vanessa, and surprisingly, quite a few groaning moans from the men in between the kissing and whistling that did not sound like a joke.
'Savages and heathens, the bunch of them…'
"Begin!" Argo yelled and raised his hand in the same manner he did when he ordered his men around to assume a battle stance.
Vex did not waste time and rushed Aizel. He went low and tried to do a tackle-grapple by hugging his legs. Aizel waited until the last moment. Fainting a step to the right, then pivoted on himself by pushing with the same foot to the left and twisted his body around. Making Vex grab only air and leave his back open to Aizel.
'Olé, Puto.'
"Lesson one, look! Before rushing in." Aizel said.
Vex roared and charged him again; this time he tried to do a simple tackle, but learned the lesson and aimed at Aizel's center of mass.
Aizel lowered his hips and gave his side to him, giving him the impression that he would not dodge.
As Vex tackled, Aizel jumped and let the momentum of Vex's charge push him back. Before touching the ground, Aizel raised his front leg and kicked both of Vex's legs from behind him, throwing him into the floor. Aizel stepped back while keeping his guard with low hops.
"Lesson two, don't charge at a taller and heavier opponent, without a plan."
Vex kicked the air and used his momentum to make some distance as he turned on the floor and stood up. He finally assumed a fighting stance and began to slowly creep towards Aizel.
His guard was that of a glove-less boxer, squared and protecting his temples with both hands sticking to his head, raised shoulders to protect his chin, and his elbows close to each other. It was the perfect stance to fight up close to a taller opponent. If they were boxing.
Aizel let him get in reach of his legs, lowering his arms to his hips to bait him into punching him, bait that the Were-Dog took. As Vex got closer, Aizel gave him a side kick with his left leg to Vex's right. Vex had probably never encountered a side-kicking opponent, since goblins kicked forward like kangaroos on crack, and they swung wide with their arms, throwing hooks with their claws. Aizel's shin dug deep into Vex's outer thigh, and the man was already struggling to keep standing.
He could have finished the fight right there, using the small lapse in Vex's attention due to the pain, but he was having fun. He had not fought another human without using his skills since coming here. The other Were-Doge he fought on the Guild he used (Focus) to beat. Since he was also using some kind of skill, but right now, he wanted Lisa to tell everyone how he had fought Vex with martial arts alone.
"Lesson three: Do not let your opponent lead the rhythm."
Vex started swinging, taking the lesson to heart and setting the rhythm as now Aizel needed to duck, weave, and dodge Vex's assault. He was tempted to use (Focus) to let him barely pass by. But this body was better than he ever had on Earth; with controlled breaths, he inhaled in between strikes and exhaled as he moved around.
Once he had found Vex's rhythm and danced with him for a bit. He decided to see how the were-dog dealt with 2:1 polyrhythm, mixed with Wing Chun.
Vex threw a left straight at his face; Aizel twisted his entire body, blocking with his right hand and striking the were-doggo in the chest with his left elbow in the same movement. One move after, with the same left arm, he did a simple palm uppercut to his chin, disorienting the dog.
Aizel could have gone berserk at that moment and just thrown a hard hit towards Vex's chin, but he was in sensei mode. And the lesson had to be taught.
"Lesson four: do not let your opponent learn your rhythm"
Vex was tired; he was panting hard. If he had even glanced at Vanessa, Aizel would have been lenient with him, but Vex was not doing this for her; he was doing it, just as she said, out of pride. So when he never spared her a look, a glance. He did not care for him anymore. Vanessa deserved better than a man who went around looking for unwinnable fights.
Was Aizel any better? No, he was probably much worse, and he knew it. So, because of that, he gave the man-child one last out.
"Lesson five: learn when to quit. Do you yield?" Aizel asked, not even too sweaty.
"Never…"
Aizel shrugged and copied a certain actor who he had based most of his look on and 'reloaded his arms'.
Aizel went on the offensive; his stance was now his specialty, Muay Thai.
He walked forward with his arms raised slightly before him. Credit where credit is due, Vex did not back down and stepped forward. He threw a crossed right, but it was immediately blocked by Aizel's right elbow, bending the were-dog's wrist. Aizel immediately threw a left straight to his face, and it landed on his chin.
Before Vex could react. Aizel threw a right hook, landing on Vex's left temple. Another straight left on his chin. He crouched a little, and with the same hand he threw two hooks to Vex's torso. The first landed on his liver, and the second one on his cheek as the shock had made him double over.
Aizel did not let up and threw a right hook, a left straight, and ended the fight with a kick to both his legs, throwing him on the floor for a third and last time.
The brotherhood went wild, throwing all kinds of shit in the air. Lisa was hugging Vanessa and screaming while jumping.
"Enough!" Argo said, just in case Aizel went for the figurative kill with some ground and pound, he assumed.
"Miss Lisa, please come forward," Argo asked, and Lisa complied.
"Was there any foul play?"
"Yes, there was," Lisa replied.
"Like what?" Argo asked.
"Vex used a skill or something similar after the last 'lesson,' when Aizel offered him to yield."
"Boo!…" The brotherhood began.
'I honestly did not notice. I was in Le flow state.'
"What about Aizel?… A show of hands from those with the means to perceive mana," Argo asked. And quite a few raised their hands, surprising Aizel.
"Do you concur? Was there any mana or blood-mana in use by Vex? Keep your hand raised if you agree!" All the hands stayed in the air.
'Huh. That's news to me. I thought sensing mana was rarer. Well, they are hunters after all, and the best Redvelia has during summer; my perception is just warped, I guess'
"What about Aizel? Keep your hand raised if you perceived the use of mana, or blood-mana. Lower them if you didn't," Argo asked, and they all lowered their hands.
'Fuck me. This was more serious than I thought; there's no way I would let this nasty dude fuck Lis. I guess I will have to give Vanessa the Purify treatment… Ah, fuck it. She's hot.'
"I declare this conflict solved; Hunter Aizel was victorious! Even with foul play from Hunter Vex!" Argo finished. And Lisa jumped to him, taking advantage of his current shirtless self.
They roared and began a second night of feasting; where they kept the meat stored was anyone's guess. He would have to ask them; he assumed someone had another 'timeless ring,' but he was too lazy to bother. There was just no other way they could produce a feast in the middle of the forest any other way.
They went from running low on disgusting rations to devouring goblin meat, so he understood their glee.
Aizel walked with Lisa in hand towards Vanessa, who was just staring into the distance. Not even looking at Vex, who was being force-fed healing potions, his pride knew no bounds; he did not fully understand the change in attitude of the Were-Dog. But if Lisa had screamed another man's name mid-sex, he would probably have just left civilization and become a hermit who just lived off monster meat. So he had some empathy for the guy, and a little resentment towards Vanessa. Even if Aizel himself was mostly at fault.
"I never agreed to anything," Vanessa said once they got close.
"And I'm not here to lay claim to you," Aizel replied with a shrug.
"Lie," Lisa said.
Aizel and Vanessa just stared at her, but the crazy Angel did not know the word shame. Or maybe just decided to forget it after being with Aizel.
'Brain tumors could also explain her behavior'
Vanessa just looked at Aizel and managed to make him look away.
"Either you decide right now what you want, or stop this 'I want to be your friend' thing. And get out of my life." Vanessa gave her ultimatum.
For once, the comedic relief—at least in Aizel's eyes—shut up when he needed her the most, and just took a page out of Deez Nerd's book and stared at the 'telenovela' without speaking.
Aizel swallowed hard. He felt more afraid of her at this moment than even when facing a rapist Orc Shaman; at least the shaman knew what he wanted.
Vanessa had enough of it and got up and left. Aizel's hand moved on its own and delicately reached out for her; if she wanted to, she did not even need to pull to leave his grasp. But she stopped without turning.
He did not believe in destiny, faith, or similar bullshit; had he reached the town any other day, or even at a different time, they never would have met. He had barely interacted with other hunters until he met with Argo's brotherhood. Not only that, but he had seen other good-looking women walking around town and didn't even think of courting any of them. So they would not be in this situation. He would not have been tangled with Lisa if Vanessa had not pushed him into rushing their departure.
'… She wanted to leave alone with me since the first fucking day… Am I willing to go through all the pain of losing someone to time… Do I even have to? I just flew across a fucking valley trying to become a plane by my own will…'
'… When in doubt... I know this fucker is watching, and he's probably hearing my thoughts; if even the stupid shaman was able to put words in my mind, a semi-god can probably take them…'
Aizel pulled her in, and she stared at him; she was pissed off. And the smell coming from within her felt like her way of saying: 'Fuck you. I don't need you.' She was not a little girl in need of a prince. At that moment, she was a woman who had him under her control without saying a word. She already knew what he would do, and was daring him to escape again.
He pulled her in and wrapped his hand around her hips. She did not put up any resistance and stared at him. But his dragon blood was proud. He knew he was now Aizel Kadashi, and not Alex anymore, because Alex would just kiss her right there and not call her bluff. Or Lisa's.
"I, Aizel Kadashi, offer you, Vanessa, to make an unbreakable vow. To forfeit your titles in exchange for my (Bind), I offer you my power, in exchange for you to obey my every (Command). To thread your life with mine, and through our systems, our souls, forever, be bound"
Last time he did the spell, he did not pay much attention. But he had changed the words of the original bind spell; he had altered it—so much—that it was barely recognizable. The original bind did not offer power, but took without giving anything back. And it for sure did not bind their souls, only their systems, one way.
His Aura resonated with the world's mana and her own, and at that moment Lisa, who was pushing her (Focus) for whatever reason, broke her stare and spoke.
"I, Lisa Kadashi, offer you, Vanessa, to make an unbreakable vow. To forfeit your titles in exchange for our (Bind), I offer you our power, in exchange for us to obey his every (Command). To thread your life with ours, and through our systems, our souls, forever, be bound"
Her mana joined in the already charged air, and it became visible for a moment; it went from iridescent to red, then gold, then red again, and stabilized before disappearing.
"I, Vanessa, clear of mind, and by my own will, make an unbreakable vow: I accept your powers and shall obey his every (Command); I forfeit my titles and accept your (Bind). Through our systems, our souls, forever, be bound"

"Um… Aizel… The fuck did we do?" Lisa asked.
Aizel was trying to keep his soul from leaving his body. It felt as if he was moving his body, though (Poltergeist), instead of his brain. But it faded a little as he saw what Lisa was staring at.
Vanessa had grown two wings like Lisa, but they were deep, dark red, not unlike her hair, the color of drying blood. And her eyes were similar to Lisa's. But ruby instead of gray.
