Chapter 1084: Facing A Sage & Strange Occurrence .

Shi Lang instructed the people to retreat and they all moved quickly. The prowess of the Terran troops were displayed in complete glory, they moved unbothered even when they were surrounded by many enemies. The Terran stopped two hundred kilometers away and Commander Silence asked, “What happened just now?”

Shi Lang replied, “The sand under the feet had absorbed too much blood and the color had gained some hue from it, I sensed changes in the Dao Fluctuations, so I decided to retreat and fight in a new place.”

Just as he finished speaking the ground began to shake. He sensed the situation and said, “The epicenter is the previous battle spot. It is moving upwards.”

The faces of the people changed, after a few minutes, the Acura Wolves that had been chasing after them began to scatter. Darcx looked at the crowd and said, “They appear to be scared of something.”

Shi Lang and the rest nodded, and deployed probes to scan the surroundings. The data was projected onto their visor and Archie Arkham flinched as she asked, “What the fuck is going on here? How is this possible.”

Shi Lang sighed and replied, “This is the world of cultivation, and everything is possible. The creature happens to be a sage level entity. However, the damage doesn’t seem to be high. I am sure that this thing would be a good sparring partner.”

The rest of the people gulped, because they knew that only Shi Lang could come up with something like this as a solution. Jenkins said, “Well, if that thing comes over, it would be bad.”

Shi Lang nodded and said, “I have, multiple times told him that he is a walking jinx, but he never listens to me. Now see, that thing is coming over.”

As he stopped speaking he took a step forward and said, “All of you seal your intents and play dead. If Jenkins is about to say something else, chop off his tongue and use it to tame a fucking wolf.”

Jenkins wanted to retort when he saw Darcx take out a nanobot dagger from the holster on the side and he fell silent. The Terran covered two hundred meters distance when he came face to face with the entity. This thing looked like an Acura Wolf but the body was shriveled. However, while most of the people thought it was a zombie, Shi Lang noticed the spark in its eyes and asked, “So, you are a living being.”

The Acura Wolf that was heading towards him stopped and laughed as it said, “You are the first to detect that I am alive, I will eat you and your soul slowly.”

Shi Lang was not scared he just asked, “You are a sage from the Acura Wolf race, right? Why do you have such a heavy characteristic of the wolves of you? The Dao Empress earlier was closer to a human than anyone else in your race, what is going on?”

The Acura Wolf was shocked, it didn’t expect that someone could detect its realm by looking at it, he replied, “Huh, you don’t know what being a sage means?”

Shi Lang shrugged and replied, “I am not a saint, and nor is my master a saint, how would I know?”

The Acura Wolf Sage nodded and said, “Well since you are about to die, I don’t think you will need to know anyway. Just know that my name is Al.”

Shi Lang waved his hand and asked, “Old man, what is the point of me recalling your name? Aren’t you going to eat my soul?”

His words shocked the old man and before he could react, he found that Shi Lang had vanished from the spot and appeared behind him. The Terran said, “You are not the only sage in this world.”

Shi Lang could sense the entire being of the old man was rippling with strong Dao Fluctuations, if he wanted to kill this guy, he would have to unleash all that he had and even that might fall short. However, this was not the time for him to flinch or hesitate. As he thought about the consequences of failing in his move, his killing intent was unleashed, the impact was so drastic that the soldiers fleeing below had been reduced to dust.

Shi Lang didn’t kill them, they just died from the extensive pressure that was created from the killer intent. Shi Lang took out Raksha and unleashed his sword intent to the maximum level that he could. The void began to tear up and the Acura Wolf Sage was slowly turning around.

The reason he was moving so slow was because of Shi Lang freezing the laws of time around him. However, the powers of a sage were way ahead of his understanding, and that was why the Acura Wolf Sage was able to turn around although slowly. The blade echoed a sharp whistle and it shoved through the throat of the Old Wolf.

The enemy opened his eyes wide and was shocked, he didn’t expect that their would be someone who would be able to break through his skin like this. However, Shi Lang sensed that something was wrong and after injecting a wisp of lightning attribute from the sword into the body of the enemy, he said, “Holy Shura Body.”

His body turned into jade and gold as he retreated. Thankfully his instincts have been screaming like crazy and he managed to retreat quickly. The Acura Wolf sage waved his hand and then a strong wave of Dao Fluctuation assaulted Shi Lang. The Holy Shura Body resisted the damage, but he was still made to cough up blood.

Shi Lang stopped fifty meters away and then he clenched his fist. He was trying to control the lightning energy inside the wound of the wolf when he found that the energy had been dispelled with much ease. The old wolf healed his wounds and said, “Good, you managed to scratch me, very good.”

The old wolf brandished his claws towards Shi Lang and was about to attack him when shiny chains appeared in the surrounds and they all tied around the body of the Acura Wolf Sage and a calm voice sounded in the void, “You mutts never follow the rules, do you?”

Shi Lang was also overwhelmed and he sealed his spiritual energy as he fell from the void to the ground, and quickly covered himself with the white sand on the ground. The Terran closed his eyes and stopped his breathing under the sand when a face manifested in the void. It was condensed with no spiritual energy but Dao Fluctuations.

The face appeared to be similar to a human but it was evident that the being was not a human. The Acura Wolf Sage replied, “Realm Lord, I didn’t wish to step into the battle voluntarily, but the blood from my descendants forced me to.”

The face didn’t have any change in expression and said, “You don’t have to give me any explanations. Just die, I have better things to do.”

The next moment, the Acura Wolf Sage exploded into blood mist and even his soul was dispersed. The face from the Dao Fluctuations looked around for a few moments before it vanished. Shi Lang didn’t hurry to come out of hiding and waited for an entire day, then he saw the face condense again for a few minutes before vanishing.
