Shi Lang walked up to the busts of his parents and Amelia watched him from a few meters away. Although his steps were firm and his breathing was regulated, the Terran had some trouble gazing at the busts and sighed, he didn’t know what to say, but as soon as he looked at his mother’s bust, he said in a low voice, “Traitor, why didn’t you just go along with me back then?”

His voice triggered the recorded message, but unlike Lady Charlotte Knight, Shi Lang’s mother Luna had a proper conscious phantom recorded. The hologram appeared and the lady seemed to have come to life once again. Luna smiled at Shi Lang and said, “I knew you would come back to handle the debts of your karma.”

Shi Lang flinched and Luna continued, “After you left, I researched, the resources and the facilities we had because of Tao being the heroine of the family, we discovered a lot of things. One such thing was the wheel of karma, and after much thought, we didn’t want to bother you in the upper realm because I knew that you would have many things to do my dear.”

Shi Lang snorted and said, “That is a good way to say that you were correct.”

Luna shook her head and said, “None of us are correct, none of use are wrong. Some stand up to fight against the fate, and some of us just decide to stop struggling.”

Shi Lang snorted and stayed silent. Luna said, “Well, fine, although this conscious phantom can talk much actively, but the time limit is only ten minutes. So, you better not throw a tantrum.”

Shi Lang looked at the hologram and said, “Ma…”

Luna smiled and said, “Love, it is fine. We were at peace, and we got see our grandchildren grow into strong figures. I am not sure how it is going on now, but Qian’er definitely gained a lot of reputation for the family. When she succumbed to the life time decay of a cultivation, she was in golden core. That was when we decided to go on and try to ascend.”

Shi Lang asked, “What about my siblings? What happened? Tao had told me that I have one sister, but when I came over, I found that there are two more.”

He did not mention that two of his siblings have been reported dead to him. Even though the person before him was a hologram, the thought of hurting her, caused Shi Lang to feel really bad.

Luna smiled and said, “We had three children, Ling was born normally, as for the two little ones, they were born with the help of the old IVF method. I hope you can accept them, Lang. I know that you are way too older, but they are good children and I have told them all your stories and they admire you. If they do something that causes trouble, guide them like you have guided the billions of federal citizens.”

Shi Lang nodded he closed his eyes, because he didn’t wish to cry, and he asked, “Old Shi, where is his message? Why has he not come through.”

The hologram looked at the bust and she sighed, “This old man must have tricked me. He was confident in ascension but then he couldn’t after seeing that I am injured, his resolve must have faltered. It seems that I am again the person who took him down with me.”

Shi Lang shook his head and said, “Don’t worry, he would not think like that.”

Luna smiled and the two people chatted for a bit before the time ran out and the Hologram vanished. The young man sighed and touched the bust gently before he turned around to find that Amelia was offering incense to the people and after she was done, she brought a few sticks for Shi Lang as well. The young man smiled as he took it from her and he offered them to the spirits of his parents. The two stood there for a bit before Shi Lang turned around, he sensed someone approach them and he looking at the person he asked, “Are you the head of the family, Shi Yen?”

The old man bowed and said, “I have seen Grand Uncle, please call me Xiao Yen, or my father will beat me up.”

Shi Lang chuckled and said, “Is your father around?”

Amelia said, “Raise your head first, Xiao Yen.”

Shi Yen raised his head and Shi Lang found that this man was at the end of his lifespan as well. He sighed and asked, “Is your father around?”

Shi Yen shook his head and said, “Father passed away when he was trying to defend army contingent that was facing against a fleet in an unexplored sector. He took down the enemy and the whole fleet but his spiritual energy ran out and before he could be rescued his spirit extinguished.”

Shi Lang stepped up and said, “He fought well.”

Shi Yen smiled as he nodded, and said, “Thank you for your praise, Great Uncle.”

Amelia asked, “What is going on with the natives here? Why did they cast on a seal on you?”

Shi Yen sighed and said, “They think that we are consuming the spiritual energy and eventually it will run out and they wouldn’t be able to survive.”

Shi Lang smiled and said, “Such a small issue and it got you to fight a full blown war?”

Shi Yen let out a deep breath and said, “Grand Uncle, these guys tried to attack the Cryo-Chamber where Grandma is located, and thus the family lost control.”

Shi Lang’s gaze turned cold and the shift in his aura made the entire Shi Family shiver, and Shi Yen felt as if he was choking. Amelia placed her hand on Shi Lang’s shoulder and she said, “Calm down.”

Shi Lang retained his aura, and asked, “Where is the local tribe residing, take me there.”

The command was issued and what comes next would depend on Shura’s rage.
