"Sure, believe whatever you want," Lily said.

"But remember that when I find you, you won't get time to apologise or correct yourself."

Evelyn quickly recovered from the weird feeling and retorted.

"I have to say, girls like you are a pain to deal with. Fine, let's meet in the competition and see who teaches things to whom." She replied to Lily in the same arrogant tone.

High up in a hidden floating compartment from where one could see the whole stadium, three people were seated.

Two men and one woman.

They were seated in a triangular position, facing each other but not exactly looking at each other.

One was leaning on his arm, on the side rest of the elegant seat. He had royal purple hair and wore an elegant dress that gave him the bearing of a high-standing man. His brilliant golden eyes were looking straight down through the invisible space of the flooring at Kaelion, Evelyn, Lily, and Leo with interest.

He was the Human Emperor, Louis Von Arvonnon.

"K... Glad to see you are doing well," he muttered.

He had already checked the soul and found out that the curse placed on him was greatly suppressed due to his healing soul, which seemed to have continuously consumed high-level soul treasures.

How did he find such great treasures? He thought.

To his right side was a second man; he looked almost human, with the only difference being the brilliant golden horns jutting through his forehead.

Yes, only the horns. No scales, no tail. Even when his whole upper body was bare, showcasing his toned muscles, it was clean. As a matter of fact, he was even capable of retracting his horns and looking completely human, but he liked his horns.

He was slumped lazily in his chair as if resting after a long day, wearing only a designer sarong on his lower body. But that didn't reduce the charm he possessed in the slightest.

The low chuckle he let out made it seem like he was interested in what was happening down on the stadium field.

"Louis!" he called out with sudden energy.

"I have to give you credit; you are indeed a man of commitment," he praised.

Suddenly, a dragon maid appeared beside him when he raised his hand and handed him a glass of wine. The maid stepped back and disappeared in the same way she had appeared.

This made it clear that they weren't actually sitting beside each other, but some intricate spatial magic made it seem so.

He chugged the wine and threw the glass down in excitement, shattering it.

"Hahaha, to think the new generation of humans will be this strong." He looked towards Louis.

"How much blood did you sacrifice for this?" he asked, his slit red eyes contracting sharply.

"Aurex, what I did was for my race. I think you shouldn't be that interested in this."

The Dragon Emperor's name was Aurex Solvar Sunborn.

Aurex laughed again.

"Right, right, I understand. But I am still amazed that one girl has already reached the Pseudo 5-star realm. Not to mention that whole group of 4 you seemed unable to take your eyes off. All three of them are in the 4-star ranks... and what's that kid? Do I feel the strength of Peak 4-star from him? Though..." Aurex narrowed his eyes.

"Something's weird about that boy..."

Aurex shrugged and looked towards Cyrandel, who was sitting elegantly, leaning back with her legs folded. She was in a beautiful white dress that only made her look more mature and attractive.

"I guess that pink-haired girl is the reason she is here... I can tell why you would want her."

Louis simply shifted his position and said, lazily looking at Cyrandel,

"She can only dream about it."

Cyrandel shot a glance at Louis before shifting her attention back to Lily.

"Didn't you say permanent damage is not allowed? I am afraid that rule will be broken starting with your daughter."

Louis looked back at the location where Lily was speaking with Evelyn.

"That girl has quite the bitchy attitude that even I don't find pleasant. I guess some safe mental trauma will solve that issue."

He then looked at Cyrandel.

"Is that Lily girl using her powers subconsciously?" he asked.

Cyrandel nodded.

"Yes... Though it's quite early for it to happen, even with specialised training. Is there any specific reason?" Cyrandel wondered.

Then she clicked her tongue.

"Why are you hiding her information like a national treasure? At least tell me something."

Louis shrugged.

"Because she is? I mean, I am getting a person with the same powers, if not stronger than the Elven Empress herself for the Human Empire. It's natural that she is a national treasure." Louis continued.

"Though I was informed by my sister that this girl is overly protective of that boy."

Cyrandel narrowed her eyes at Leo before looking back at him.

"Sister? The one I revived a spirit for? How is she? Was she able to improve anyhow?"

Louis shook his head.

"Her talent played with her. She can't advance any more unless she gets some lucky encounter."

Cyrandel nodded slowly.

"I bet you have many ways to help her..."

Louis's expression turned plain.

"I can't waste valuable resources on someone who can't contribute effectively... even if they're family."

Aurex chuckled.

"Like I said, committed... or more like a perfect slave to the World Core..."

Louis didn't respond to him, as if it were true.

"I work for the future good, and you are no different from me."

Aurex only nodded helplessly.

"Not that I am as desperate as you."

At that, Cyrandel spoke.

"But even if we have our ultimate goals, we need to stand together against the common enemy that's impossible to handle alone. I have heard they are planning to incarnate another Emperor-level threat after they have gathered enough blood and energy."

Aurex didn't speak, but Louis did.

"We understand that, and thus this joint session. As for the long-broken relationship between elves and humans..." He pointed at Lily.

"She will be the one to open the path."

Cyrandel nodded.

"And what about the boy?"

Louis narrowed his eyes.

"K is not someone who will follow another person if they are unworthy..." he muttered out loud.

"Not to mention Kat's words about the unparalleled potential his talent possesses..."

Louis tried to sense Leo's constitution. And just like Aurex had said, something was weird about him.

"Is he chosen by some ascended being? What's this stupid block?"

But even he didn't try to force his way into Leo's spiritual space, just like Aurex.

Because all three of them present here knew one ironclad rule.

Never mess with an Ascended being capable of influencing their realm from far above 'knowingly'.

And it was no different with their subjects, someone like Leo, because they could never guess what would happen next.

Last time, an elite advanced civilisation tried to dissect a subject of an Ascended being, knowing that it was a subject due to the various abnormalities surrounding the individual, in order to obtain information about the shitshow happening to the world.

But as a result, their whole civilisation was denied the right to fuse, and till now, they are forever stuck between the plane of Skadrial and their world, with spatial storms slowly eating their lands away.

And any land that had already been fused was personally destroyed by some unknown apostles of those beings... all within a day.
