A Journey That Changed The World

Chapter 1462: Yield Or Die

Chapter 1462: Yield Or Die

The Chull Queen Valariana was a dance of raw power. She leaped into a knot of pikemen, her fists hammering down. Each strike sent shockwaves through the ranks, men collapsing as if struck by a battering ram.

Just then, a war beast bellowed, charging her with claws raised, but the blonde met it head-on. She ducked under its swipe, her fist slamming into its scaled flank, a crack that split its armor-like hide.

It staggered, and moments later, the Nightmare Ants swarmed over its legs and body, their mandibles gnawing until it crashed to the ground, roaring in pain. Following that, Valariana spotted the red-headed Ant Queen.

’’Push forward!’’ Vivienne shouted, her Guardians joining the fray.

These towering black ants, built like tanks and as strong as Demi Gods, smashed through the Alliance’s siege engines. Their massive fists crushed catapults into splinters, while their hollow eyes glowed menacingly, sowing terror among the enemy ranks.

Vivienne vaulted onto a Guardian’s shoulder, using its height to survey the battlefield. She spotted the sorcerers weaving a ritual, their staffs pulsing with a growing sphere of crackling energy.

’’Valariana, the mages!’’ she called, pointing. ’’They’re summoning something big!’’

The blonde’s black eyes narrowed, and she sprinted toward the sorcerers, her Chull Warriors and Guardians clearing a path. The mages unleashed a barrage of firebolts, but Valariana wove through them, her fists shattering their barriers like glass.

She reached the lead enemy mage, a robed figure chanting furiously, and drove her fist into his chest after dealing with the man’s guards. The impact silenced his spell, the mana sphere collapsing into a fizzle.

Her Chull Warriors and Guardians overwhelmed the others, their screams lost in the chaos of battle. The Alliance’s morale wavered, but a grizzled general who sat atop a warhorse, his armor etched with runes of protection, rallied them.

’’Hold the line!’’ he bellowed, raising a longsword.

The enemy commander spurred his horse toward Vivienne, his blade slashing in a deadly arc aimed at her throat. The Ant Queen grinned, meeting his charge. She sidestepped the sword, grabbing the horse’s reins and yanking it off balance.

As the general tumbled, she drove her fist into his breastplate, the enchantments sparking and dying under the force. He hit the ground hard, gasping, as her Guardians loomed over him, their fists raised.

’’Yield or die,’’ Vivienne snarled.

The general spat blood, defiant. ’’Never.’’

Before he could rise, Valariana appeared, her fist descending like a hammer. The blow cratered the earth, and the enemy general lay still, his armor shattered. The Alliance’s remaining forces, witnessing their leader’s fall, broke ranks entirely.

Cavalry fled, pikemen dropped their weapons, and the war beasts’ dying roars marked the end of their resistance. The two women stood amidst the carnage, their monsters circling protectively.

The Alliance’s banners lay trampled, their army scattered to the winds. Vivienne raised a fist, her voice a triumphant roar that echoed across the valley. ’’The war is ours! Let this be a lesson to all who defy us!’’

Valariana, panting but unbroken, nodded. ’’They’ll sing of this day,’’ she said, her smile sharp as a blade. ’’And they’ll fear us forever.’’

As the sun sank below the horizon, casting long shadows over the battlefield, the duo sent their monsters back to the Domain. They returned to the fortress, where Elara was waiting for the duo.

’’Thank you for that,’’ the Dragonkin thanked the two Monarchs. ’’The enemies took advantage of Archer finally getting his claws on the Terravians, who I bet are trembling in fear now.’’

Vivienne smiled at this before adding what she knew. ’’Yes, his hate for them was growing thanks to all their ambushes. Hopefully, this scares their leadership into hiding until the Great War is over.’’

They nodded in agreement as the redhead spoke, her voice sharp. ’’Their pocket realms are mere shadows of the Domain, pale imitations. Now, an enraged White Dragon unleashed, they’ll rue the day they dared attack us.’’

The Ant Queen, overcome with gratitude, pulled the Dragonkin woman into an unexpected embrace. Elara, momentarily startled, softened and returned the gesture. ’’Thank you, sister, for standing alongside us. You know I see you all as family, right?’’

Elara’s lips curved into a warm smile at Vivienne’s words. ’’You’re right, Vivi, we were brought together by the same man, and you Monarchs were given life to help him. I don’t compete with any of you and hope to get on.’’

Following that, the weeks passed by as the harem rallied together, all the fighting women joined the war, and beat back the Alliance from Ashoka, Maeve, and Nyx ambushing the Darkthorne and Novgorodian armies.

While that happened, Teuila, Lucrezia, Kassandra, and Demetra caused chaos among the enemy trade routes. The four women became nightmares in their own right, earning many nicknames for their utter destruction of massive fleets.

The Draconian forces struck hard from the sea, which shocked the enemy Demons, who retreated from the coasts close to the land they took from Duskfire, Goldenmane, and Darkthorne Empires.

Mary and Aurelia commanded the underwater assault, their aquatic legions hammering coastal defenses using Draconian Missiles. Meanwhile, on the Great Dooms Command Center, a purple-haired young woman gazed out over the dark depths below.

’’Who in the world named this ship?’’ she curiously asked.

The mature woman beside her replied. ’’That would be Dagny. Our husband let her christen the underwater flagship. Now, we’re here to carve a path for Elara’s invasion of the Demon Realm’s northern reaches.’’

Aurelia noticed the vessel’s reinforced hull gleaming under the faint bioluminescent light filtering through the ocean, a testament to Draconian engineering. Flanking the massive submarine, a fleet of underwater warships glided in perfect formation.

The hum of their engines resonated through the water. Even as a Mermaid, she was shocked at the vast expanse of the ocean stretched endlessly before them, a battlefield soon to be claimed, as the northern shores of Avidia loomed closer on their mana screens.

Inside the command chamber of the massive submarine, the air thrummed with tension as Aurelia adjusted the sonar readings. Mary, her gaze sharp as a blade, relayed coordinates to the fleet through a comms device, her voice cutting through the low hum of machinery.

’’All vessels, maintain formation. We’re approaching the Avidian trench, expect resistance,’’ she commanded, her tone unwavering.

Outside, the underwater Draconian fleet tightened its ranks. The bioluminescent glow of the ocean began to dim as they descended into the trench, the water growing colder and denser, pressing against the hulls.

Shadows of massive sea creatures tried to flee when dozens of vessels passed by, their silhouettes briefly illuminated by the Mana searchlights, a reminder of the untamed wilderness they navigated.

Aurelia glanced at Mary, a silent understanding passing between them. ’’If the Alliance has set up defenses here, they’ll hit us hard,’’ she said, her voice low but resolute.

Mary nodded, her jaw set. ’’That’s if we surface, but we can use the missiles from below. We’ll carve through their lines and deliver Elara her foothold.”

Suddenly, a sharp ping echoed through the sonar, followed by a series of rapid blips. The control panel lit up with red warnings as the fleet detected movement ahead as a horde headed straight for their position.

The Draconian fleet stopped at Mary’s commander as the submarines unloaded, their plasma torpedoes lighting up the trench as they clashed with the relentless horde of Alliance Sea Monsters.

A serpentine Leviathan coiled and struck, its venomous spines piercing the water, aimed at the closest vessel, while the armored Angler Beasts swarmed, their glowing jaws snapping at the defenses.

The sailors maneuvered the flagship as Mary coordinated the counterattack, their vessels weaving through the chaos. Just as the tide seemed to turn in the creature’s favour as a sub was ripped in two, a seismic shudder rippled through the ocean, halting the battle in its tracks.

The sonar screeched thanks to four new signatures, and the water parted to reveal an awe-inspiring sight. Emerging from the depths, a colossal Kraken, its tentacles rippling with power, surged forward, its single eye gleaming.

’’Empress Kassandra!’’ one of the sailors called out.

Beside her swam a Demon Shark, its sleek, dark blue form cutting through the water, its razor teeth bared in a protective snarl. A towering Mosasaur, its crocodilian bulk radiating strength, rose with a thunderous bellow.

Just then, another crew member exclaimed. ’’Empress Demetra and Lucrezia!’’

’’Look, there’s Dem and Luce. The girls have arrived to help us get there!’’ Aurelia cheered. ’’Did you send a message?’’

Mary nodded, grinning. ’’Yes, they asked me to let them join in on the attack.’’

’’Good,’’ the Mermaid answered. ’’I was worried about the sea monsters, but thanks to the others helping us, we can reach Avidia unharmed.’’

Following that, everyone on board the submarines watched as Kassandra’s tentacles lashed out, ensnaring a Leviathan and crushing it with a single, powerful squeeze, while the Demon Shark darted forward, tearing through an Angler Beast.

Lucrezia charged, her massive jaws snapping shut on another monster, sending its remains spiraling into the abyss, and Teuila unleashed a deafening roar, scattering the remaining horde in terror.
