A Journey That Changed The World

Chapter 1339 1339: You Called Husband

Archer walked around the camp talking to the soldiers who were pleasantly surprised when they found out he was normal and not like the other rules on Thrylos, which he laughed off as he found it amusing.

While doing that, Nala’s cheerful voice sounded in his mind. ‘My love. My big brother Lioran wants to see you, can you open a Gate?’ she asked.

‘Lioran, I haven’t seen him in a while. It would be good to chill with them once everything calms down, I’ve always been around women the last couple of years,’ he mused with a smile while opening a portal.

Moments later, the young lion man who he had been friends with since his time in the academy stepped through with a big smile. ”Look who it is, have you been hiding from me Arch?” he teased.

Archer chuckled while answering. ”Shut up Lio, I’ve been busy with the war and spending time with the girls, your sister would have told you by now, we’ve taken the southern part of Avidia.”

”I’m messing with you brother,” Lioran said just before hugging him. ”It’s good to see you happy and healthy. I’ve been worried when hearing about some of the fights you’ve been involved in.”

”Yes I’ve been fine and some of the battles were hard but it helps as I grow stronger every day,” he replied while pushing the lion man away. ”Enough of the touching I’m not used to it any more.”

Afterward, Archer and Lioran caught up, and he discovered that his old friend had been training with the Plouria resistance, a group preparing to join the legions for the impending invasion.

They asked the government for permission to form an army to help out during the war, which Aisha allowed after bringing their request to him. Their other friends Alaric and Cian had been there too, balancing their time between training and their families.

As they reached the fortress walls, a message from Elara arrived, promising to return after showing Talila the tea lab. He grinned and turned to the young lion prince before answering in an honest tone.

”Winter’s on its way, and things will quiet down for me. I’ll come meet you, Alaric, and Cian, so we can all hang out like we always planned to do,” he said. ”The girls have been telling me to do it for years now.”

When Lioran listened, his smile grew wider before letting out a sigh. ”I’m relieved, Nala asked me to come ask you to hang out with us guys because you either change the subject or vanish when your harem brings it up.”

Archer stretched the back of his head and laughed. ”Yes, it’s just unusual for me as most men don’t like me but you, Alaric and Cian seem to see me as a friend so I would like you to go out to Dragonheart City with you three.”

The young woman nodded before speaking. ”I completely get why they feel that way, Arch. To them, you’re like a living god. The Draconians even have shrines of you in their homes, they respect and adore you. So don’t be too hard on people when they keep their distance.”

Following this, they continued talking for another hour and Archer shared some dragon ale with Lioran who started coughing when drinking it. This made the two laugh as the lion man commented. ”Damn, that’s so strong it hurts my lungs.”

He cast Aurora Healing on the young man, which made him chuckle. ”Now that feels better but I better get back to the wives. They’ll be angry if I miss another night with them.”

”Have fun and I’ll see you soon Lio,” he answered before opening a portal back to Draconia.

Lioran vanished, leaving him alone as Teuila’s alarmed voice came through the tattoo. ‘The Alliance is back, husband, and there are so many of them.’

Archer told Elara and Talila what he needed to do before teleporting to the blue-haired woman who was organizing the legions to attack. He noticed the front ranks of the enemy army were burning thanks to Sera’s breath.

She was soon forced to retreat as the dragon-slaying weapons intensified their barrage, a development that unsettled the dragon woman. Landing atop the wall, she spoke between breaths. ”This is their final assault, they’re throwing thousands of monsters at us.”

Following this, the Dragonfire Company unleashed a barrage of mana shields that soared through the air before slamming into the enemy front ranks, which erupted into chaos just as the mages brought up a shield.

The assault raged on until the Alliance retaliated, unleashing a deafening volley, hundreds of booms split the air. When this happened, the Draconian Mages scrambled to raise a barrier, deflecting most, until it fractured under the strain.

A dozen projectiles slipped through, smashing into the wall. Explosions tore through the battlefield, hurling soldiers in all directions as chaos erupted. Flames sparked and spread, licking at the shattered defenses.

Teuila’s eyes widened before reacting, she started casting water magic to put out the fire while Sera noticed more projectiles. Archer watched as the redhead shot into the air and started throwing fireballs at them.

‘These women are amazing,’ he thought with glowing violet eyes.

More explosions rang out as her magic destroyed the incoming mana shells that lit up the morning sky. He got angry when noticing dozens of Draconians lay dead, forcing him to cast Cosmic Shield.

The violet barrier shot out and blocked every attack the Alliance sent their way before he used Mana Manipulation to put out the fires. Following that, he then healed all the injured, which shocked everyone.

Once that was taken care of, he jumped into the middle of his monster swarm and brought out a dozen Mountain Horns, which were bulkier versions of the rhinos on Earth, they were also immune to magic thanks to their hide.

He smiled before speaking to the bus-sized creatures. ”Destroy their frontline and crush as many enemy soldiers that you can.”

When the beasts heard this, they roared and started charging toward the incoming Alliance army, who stopped and erected a shield wall with deadly spears facing the Mountain Horns, but the monsters weren’t bothered.

Moments later, they smashed into the enemy ranks and turned the soldiers into meat paste as the commanders tried to gain control in the chaos. It was too late though as the monsters crushed, impaled and destroyed anything that got in their way.

Archer observed as the beasts got far in before they started dying because of the enemy soldiers swarming them. While this happened, he chuckled before bringing out an army of Chull Warriors.

”You called husband,” Valariana said with a smirk. ”Looks like my army will get to show you what they can do.”

He flashed a charming smile at the warrior beauty as he replied. ”Yes. The Alliance is launching one final assault before winter sets in.”

The Chull Queen nodded, stretching her lithe frame with a graceful flex of her muscles. ”Mind if I join the fight?” she asked, her tone casual yet eager. ”I could use the exercise.”

”Be my guest but don’t dive in too deep,” he responded with a chuckle, at her excitement at the prospect of having a good fight. ”I’ll send in some Broodmaws to help the Chull.”

Following that, Valariana darted toward the enemy lines that were a few meters away from the Cosmic Shield. The Mountain Horns continued their destruction, but soon enough the giant crab-like monsters slammed into the remaining shieldwall.

Their massive pincers chopped fully armored soldiers in half while others crushed the cavalry trying to hit them from the side. He watched as Valariana tore through the commanders.

With a ferocious roar, she tore a demi-human in two with ease, her black eyes glinting fiercely. Archer’s voice rang out above the chaos. ”Transform, Vala! Show me your true self and how powerful you are!”

At his words, the blonde warrior began to glow, her form radiating light until a towering Chull emerged in her place. Yet her true shape was breathtaking, resembling the guardians but radiating an even greater strength that left him stunned.

Archer shook his head as Valariana started fighting a group of trolls, she used her massive pincers to cut one in half as two of her legs pinned another to the ground as the Chull Guardians washed over the rest.

While this happened, he summoned all the Mountain Horns back to the Domain to rest as he sent in a horde of Broodmaws. Seconds later, the Dragonfire Company continued their barrage that slowed the massive army down.

The chaos surged as the Alliance funneled more soldiers into the relentless meat grinder while hundreds died thanks to the monsters and cannon attacks. Blood soaked the snow-draped ground, transforming it into a crimson sea of horror.

Archer spotted the corpses which started to form hideous mountains made up of monsters and humanoids alike littered the battlefield.
