A Journey That Changed The World

Chapter 1244: Challenging Me To A Fight

Chapter 1244: Challenging Me To A Fight

Archer noticed the man was going red in the face just before he tried to hit Sera by throwing a powerful punch toward the redhead. He cast Blink and appeared in front of the stranger and caught his fist with a crunch.

“Haven’t you Alliance dogs learned? You what happened when one of you attempt to hit one of my wives? You just fucked up human,” he said while grabbing the enemy by the face and lifting him into the air.

Without waiting, he cast Soul Eater and started absorbing the man’s memories that flowed into his mind. Archer quickly learned that the Alliance forces were scattered across the west with armies and garrisons stationed in most settlements.

“This is interesting information, but things will go quicker knowing this,’ he thought with glowing violet eyes. “The three legions and monsters will be enough to take them down.’

Following that, Archer killed the man by snapping his neck and throwing the corpse into the necromancer’s sister’s prison while sending Demacia a message and got a sweet thank you in return, ‘Another body for the Tyrant program, beautiful.’

“Did you find out anything useful? That man was an Alliance Commander so he should know something,” Teuila question in a curious tone as her light blue eyes sparkled.

He quickly used Mana Manipulation to show the three women the memories that he got from the Demi-God. After that, Archer spoke with a big smile. “Now, there’s a castle up to the road. I want to see what you beauties do with the armies you command.”

They all nodded in agreement before as they got excited, especially Sera, who rushed forward. Following that, the legions continued their march across the vast grasslands toward a distant fortress.

When his gaze landed on the Alliance walls so tall that it would give someone scared of heights a heart attack. Towers dotted the walls with enemy soldiers rushing around and thanks to being a dragon, he could see every single of of them and their panic.

“This is going to be interesting,’ he mused. ‘I wonder what the 13th will do, their the siege experts after all.’

Sera led the charge and ordered the 16th to surround the castle so no one could escape the siege. Teuila backed her up while Ashoka ordered every cannon from the three armies to form up with their ammunition.

While watching the dragon woman vanish into the distance, Archer gazed at the war machines stretched as far as the eyes could see as the Dragonfire Company prepared to fire on the enemy.

Archer used Mana Manipulation to create a platform for himself to get a perfect view of the incoming battle. While the other two legions set up, the castle started attacking as a wave of mana shells, arrows and spells sliced through the air.

In a flash, the Draconian Mages sprang into action and started chanting just as a powerful barrier that appeared over the legions. Seconds later, the barrier was absorbing the devastating impacts.

‘Looks like Nefertiti and the others have been teaching them well. I can feel their mana radiating from here,’ he mused with a pleased expression.

The ground shook violently as the explosions roared, but the Draconians were unshaken, as they had faith in the mages. Moments later, a single command rang out, causing thousands of cannons to erupt in unison, their salvo tearing through the air.

Earth-shattering booms reverberated across the grasslands, forcing everyone to shield their ears as the relentless barrage found its mark, shaking the heavens and causing the enemy barrier to falter.

Archer’s eyes lit up with exhilaration as the chaos unfolded, and his voice boomed with a fierce command, catching the Monster Army’s attention, “Broodmaws! Take out the enemy mages!”

The mantis-like beasts let out a deafening screech, their serrated limbs glinting in the light as they surged forward, hell-bent on obliterating the Alliance mages guarding the walls. But as the creatures neared, the battlefield erupted.

A torrent of spells struck the charging Broodmaws, causing explosions to ring out as flames washed over his monsters. Blinding explosions illuminated the landscape as blood and shattered carapaces rained down in a gruesome display.

Archer stood frozen in shock and amazement as even he felt how powerful the blast was, watching in silence as the explosions obliterated his monsters in a chaos and fire. “What the fuck was that?” he muttered in disbelief.

He blinked in confusion, the pieces slowly falling into place. Realization dawned on him, and The murmured under his breath, “Using their strongest weapons?”

Moments later, a thunderous roar of cheers erupted from the castle, their triumph echoing across the battlefield like a taunt. With a snarl, he summoned hundreds of Mana Blasts that crackled.

“They want to see magic? Let’s show them what real magic is,’ Archer internally raged.

Without hesitation, he unleashed them on the castle walls, each blast tearing through stone with a deafening roar. Chaos erupted within as the defenders scrambled, their cheers abruptly silenced by the sudden attack.

Scorched stone and smoke filled the air, as his attack left no corner untouched. He huffed before shouting to the legions below, “I’ll reward any soldiers who bring me any Alliance Mage. Make sure they’re still alive so I can punish them.”

In the wake of Archer’s attack, the 16th Legion erupted into deafening shouts as they surged forward, a tide of disciplined Legionnaires and fearsome Drakeguards racing toward the enemy castle.

Above them, the Draconian Mages cast shields, their barriers crackling as a storm of projectiles rained down, slamming into the defenses. They pressed onward, shields raised and blades gleaming, while the Drakeguards led the charge.

Suddenly, anti-mana arrows streaked through the air, striking true. Dozens of his soldiers collapsed where they stood, lifeless, but they did not falter. In retaliation, the mages unleashed a wave of spells, fire, lightning, and ice raining down upon the enemy forces.

Following that, Archer noticed the Dragonfire Company getting ready to target to the walls to knock them down for the soldiers. Massive chunks of stone crashed into the ground just as the first of his troops arrived.

Earth Mages created bridges across the moat as others protected them from the attacks above with more barriers. Seconds later, more appeared as he continued to use Mana Blast to cover

the approach.

His powerful spells slammed into the top of the wall, which sent the enemies scattering for cover as the Drakeguards started climbing the walls like spiders. While this happened, he sat down and pulled out some burgers.

More enemy magic flew from the defences but this time the spells were even stronger, causing Archer to mutter with a growing smile as the excitement boiled up within him, “Challenging me to a fight, eh?”

Feeling annoyed, he wanted to show the Alliance what happens when challenging him. He turned to the Oathkeeper Commander, and gave the man an order, “Take the castle and prove your strength, Thalion.”

“Yes, my king,” the knight replied, his voice firm, before surging forward with unrelenting

purpose.

Archer’s gaze followed the commander as he charged toward the wall, his longsword gleaming in the light. With a powerful leap, the knight soared high into the air, landing atop the battlements like a predator.

In one fluid motion, his blade carved through the enemy ranks, felling half a dozen soldiers in

a single, devastating stroke. Thalion wasted no time dispatching any remaining Alliance forces in his path.

His surprise attack cleared the way, allowing the rest of the 16th to ascend the wall like an unstoppable tide of death. The Oathkeeper moved so fast that normal people’s eyes couldn’t

keep up.

Archer watched as Thalion rushed into the courtyard and slaughtered anyone that came close and thanks to the knight’s size, the enemy soldiers were scared of the giant as his longsword

sliced them in half.

After the Oathkeeper was butchering the enemy, Sera’s soldiers took the walls as the redhead herself blasted the enemy with her dragon fire. Hours later and they had taken the first castle, causing the three legions to celebrate.

To allow them to relax, Archer summoned even more monsters to guard the castle they were chilling in and camps outside that were home to the 13th, 15th and 16th legions. Teuila, Ashoka and Sera were drinking in his tent while he watched the three enjoy themselves.

The sound of soldiers celebrating and cheering for himself, the woman and the Draconian Kingdom. He was happy while sitting there drinking some of the Dragon Ale Sera gave him

with a big smile.

“This stuff is delicious,’ he thought while downing a mouthful.

As Archer was zoning out, someone sat in his lap causing him to return to reality and quickly noticed Ashoka’s glowing amber eyes staring at him. The tiger woman’s smile widened as she leaned forward and whispered, “I love you, Archer Wyldheart.”
