A Farmer's Journey To Immortality

Chapter 694: Looting First Supreme P2

Capítulo 694: Looting First Supreme P2

Saarken narrowed his eyes at Aksai, who had appeared like a ghost out of thin air.

A moment ago, there had been nothing in front of him. Now, Aksai was standing calmly beneath a towering Demon Tree.

Core Formation Lords were still too weak to utilize space-element Spirit Spells effectively. It had to be an artifact’s prowess, the First Supreme of Kalingoot quickly concluded.

‘That tree… what kind of tree is that? I have never heard or read anything about it in Dadangar Subcontinent’s known history. Nor have I ever come across it from that damn ghost’s memories. And I’m pretty sure that the tree is serving as the array eye of this wood-element innate formation.’

Saarken couldn’t help but look at the Demon Tree. The tree was massive. Its trunk was thick and dark, covered in strange marks that pulsed with faint light.

Countless vines and roots stretched out from it, spreading across the ground and rising into the air. It was clear that this Demon Tree was the core of the domain around them. Through it, Aksai had cast the 3rd Order Devil’s Den.

Saarken’s gaze swept across the area. He looked left. He looked right. He extended his Spirit Sense as far as he could.

There was no one else. Only him and Aksai.

Saarken let out a slow breath and felt his tense shoulders relax a little. A trace of relief appeared on his face. He had feared that this was an ambush prepared by multiple Core Formation Lords. For a brief moment, he had even thought that Aksai had worked together with the Big Five Sects or the Major Three Demonic Sects to lure him here.

But now, it seemed he had overthought it.

“So that’s how it is,” Saarken muttered to himself.

He assumed that the Frostbound Sect’s spatial cube had created an isolated space. Although a part of him doubted his own conclusion, it still made sense to him.

A small, sealed dimension meant to trap him alone. No reinforcements. No hidden Lords waiting to strike him from the shadows.

Saarken looked back at Aksai and saw the calm confidence on his face. Instead of feeling threatened, Saarken chuckled.

“Hehehe.”

The sound echoed lightly within the vine-covered dome. He smirked and shook his head.

“Do you really think that cube can help you win, you fuc*king stupid island owner?” Saarken said in a mocking tone. “No matter how strange the Frostbound Sect’s artifact is, it is still just a 3rd Order artifact. At best, it can trap me for a few moments.”

His eyes shone with cold confidence.

“I have another 3rd Order artifact that can get me out of this little spatial trap you set up.”

As he spoke, Saarken reached into his storage ring. A moment later, a bow appeared in his hand.

The bow looked sleek and sharp, as if it had been carved directly from space itself. Its surface shimmered faintly, and the air around it twisted in a strange way. There was no bowstring in the normal sense, yet space itself seemed to tighten between its ends.

This was a space-element bow, a high-grade 3rd Order artifact that was very close to stepping into the 4th Order. It did not need arrows.

As Saarken held it steady, thin lines of distorted space began to gather near the bow, forming sharp, invisible arrows on their own.

“Open your damn eyes and see what I’m about to show you. Hahahaha.”

Saarken suddenly laughed out loud. The sound was sharp and full of pride. He raised his hand and pointed above his head, toward the dark sky that had no stars.

“Let’s see how strong this place really is,” he said.

He drew the space-element bow and slowly poured his Core Formation realm Spirit Sense into it. The bow began to tremble. Space around it twisted and bent as an ethereal arrow slowly formed in front of him.

The process was not easy.

Saarken’s breathing grew heavy. Sweat formed on his forehead and rolled down his face. His arm shook slightly as the arrow took shape. It was clear that summoning this arrow took a huge toll on him.

Finally, the arrow was complete.

Saarken gritted his teeth and released the bow.

The ethereal arrow shot forward without a sound. It passed through the wood-element barrier made by the Demon Tree as if it did not exist. The vines and roots did not even slow it down. The arrow flew straight toward the starless sky of the isolated space.

Saarken burst into laughter when he saw this.

“Hahaha!”

His eyes were filled with greed and pride. This bow was one of the greatest inheritances left behind by his ghost mentor. Back then, that foolish old ghost had trusted him fully. In the end, Saarken had tricked him and stabbed him in the back, devouring him for his own growth.

Now, looking at the bow’s power, Saarken felt no regret.

“It was worth it,” he muttered. “Every bit of it.”

But his laughter slowly faded. The ethereal arrow struck the starless sky… and stopped.

It did not tear space apart. It did not break the boundary. Instead, it vanished as if it had hit an invisible wall.

Saarken’s smile froze. His eyes widened.

“No… that’s not right,” he whispered.

With a shaky breath, he forced more Spirit Sense into his body and formed another arrow. His chest rose and fell hard as he fired again.

The second arrow flew straight up. And once again, it failed. It disappeared into the dark sky without leaving even a ripple. Only then did fear crawl into Saarken’s heart. He slowly turned his head and looked at Aksai.

Aksai was smiling. A chill ran down Saarken’s spine when he thought about how his opponent was not stopping him. It was as if Aksai already knew what was going to happen.

“This… this can’t be a 3rd Order artifact,” Saarken said, his voice shaking. “How can the Frostbound Sect’s spatial cube be this strong? And how did I never hear about it? I have so many spies inside that sect.”

Aksai let out a soft chuckle.

“Who said I was using the cube?” he asked calmly. “And who said you are trapped inside a space made by a 3rd Order artifact?”

He raised his hand and tapped the side of his head with a finger.

“Did you not think about this?” Aksai continued. “A 3rd Order artifact cannot hold living beings in an isolated world. To host living beings, an artifact must be at least 4th Order. And even then, that would be the weakest kind.”

He spread his arms slightly and looked around the domain.

“Look around you. Do you really think I would use a 4th Order artifact just to trap you?”

Saarken’s face turned pale.

Up until now, he had been full of confidence. He believed that no matter what tricks Aksai used, he could still win by relying on his trump cards.

But now, dread filled his heart.

“Th– then the Frostbound Sect’s cube you used earlier…” Saarken asked with a stutter.

Aksai calmly walked to the base of the Demon Tree and sat down. He leaned against the thick trunk and looked at Saarken with a relaxed smile.

“I used that cube only as camouflage to bring you here,” he said. “The Green Glory Lord was there to witness our battle. How could I reveal my greatest trump card in front of him just to kill you?”

His smile grew wider. “This place,” he added softly, “was always meant to be visited by you alone.”

Saarken stared at Aksai with a desperate look in his eyes. The pride and greed he had shown earlier were gone. In their place was fear that he could not hide, no matter how hard he tried.

He tightened his grip on the bow in his hand.

He owned a 3rd Order artifact that was already touching the edge of the 4th Order. In the entire Dadangar Subcontinent, that alone made him a powerful and feared figure. He knew that if other Core Formation Lords knew, he would have been targeted by them a long time ago.

In fact, even Aksai was wary of the trump cards possessed by the First Supreme. Saarken’s space-element bow was why Aksai wanted to bring Saarken into Everwood Farm and trap him here.

Saarken had never truly seen a real 4th Order artifact with his own eyes. He had only heard vague rumors about such items, spoken in hushed tones by old monsters.

As for something that surpassed the 4th Order…

Saarken could not even imagine it. The thought alone made his heart sink.

His eyes drifted toward the Demon Tree, then back to Aksai. A strange doubt filled his mind.

How could a Core Formation Lord like Aksai own such a terrifying artifact?

And even if he somehow came to possess it, how could he possibly use it?

Saarken’s thoughts raced.

If Aksai truly held such a treasure, then what the hell was he still doing in Dadangar Subcontinent? Why had he not gone to the Shinayin Empire? A place like that would shower him with rewards and protection the moment he revealed such an item.

This was clearly a form of bullying. The guy had leveled up a long time ago and he was still hanging around in the newbie zone.

Nothing made sense.

This confusion only made Saarken feel more uneasy.
